I tossed the phone aside and quickly turned over, only to see a brown-haired vampire. His handsome yet sinister smile carried a hint of malice, and his deep eyes suddenly glowed red, narrowing as he sighed softly at me, "Darling, I've missed you so much!" His fangs gleamed white as he suddenly pounced.
I abandoned the blanket and rolled to the other side of the bed, screaming, "Ah—" as I tried to jump off, but he grabbed my nightgown and dragged me back. "No..."
I felt like a rabbit caught in a snare, pinned under a vicious wolf, desperately dodging his fangs, my head splitting with pain as I struggled wildly. I couldn't understand—when had he gotten into my bed?!
There was supposed to be a secure electric barrier outside to keep vampires from entering.
