Layla couldn't express her happiness as she saw her mom entering the room. Without wasting a second, she scurried towards her mom as she took her in a tight embrace.
"Mom! I missed you." She whined, keeping her face buried in her hair while Elysia just offered her the solace she sought by patting her back. They remained like this for some time until Nana chimed in.
"Enough with the show of affection, now eat something." Her voice held a mocking tone, which none of the two hated. Layla then introduced Elysia to Nana and vice versa; soon, the women busied themselves in girly talks until the clock struck twelve.
"I need to go, Layla. Miss Mclan, Please make yourself comfortable," Nana said as she left with a wide smile curling up her lips.
