Layla turned around to meet the familiar face while Michael's hold got tighter around her waist, causing her to flinch.
"Sorry," He stated, staring at her, and in the next moment, his eyes shot back at Andrew, who decided to chime in the middle of the conversation. He had been provided a place in the guard's quarters, but it seems he wanted to be a part of the family, too.
"Get out," Michael uttered in a low menacing voice, one that sent jolts down everyone's spine. The kids surrounding the huge room took a step back while some them began sobbing. Layla could feel the blatant animosity he was inflicting on his cousin's brother.
"Will yo—"
"Wait…" Layla's voice was weak, but it managed to stop Michael in his tracks when he was about to take a leap ahead in order to get his hands on Andrew. Michael felt a tug at his hand. Turning back, she caught sight of a scared Layla shaking her head.
