For seconds, Eleanore continued to stare at her. Her mind runs in various thoughts about this person. 'Is she a fool or does she consider me a fool?' Eleanore wondered.
It is a given that no one would do gardening without the accurate tools to be used for it. Is she doing this to strike a conversation, perhaps?
"I do not like gardening. I just wanted to take these flowers for someone special. That's all." Eleanore answers, her eyes still not moving from Verbena's face, at all. "However, that's not important. What are you doing over here? How did you get in?"
"I called her." If one unwanted face was not enough, another one arrived from behind.
Her day had been completely ruined. She knew from the moment these faces popped up that something bad was going to happen. They are omen!
"I was feeling lonely and wanted company. So I invited her here." Adena explains.
"Did you take the duke's permission?" Eleanore inquired.
"I don't need to."
"But the duke wouldn't want her here."
