Caelestis hesitates. He sees the same desperation in her eyes as he had for Hael. While there might not be any way left to save his friendship, there seems to still be hopes for hers. However, is it safe to terminate that contract? What if Flora spreads the news? It would create an uproar.
"Caelestis?" Eleanore calls him out, "Can't you please do that?" She asks, her eyes narrowing and pleading with him to listen to her.
He looks away. "I'm sorry, Eleanore but I cannot." It was difficult but he stepped over his heart, that had finally started to harbor feelings for her.
"Why?" A hole forms between the edge of her eyebrows. "Why can't you? What's the problem? There is nothing to hide."
"There is—" Caelestis didn't want to argue over this anymore. "I can't tell you why, and I can't terminate the contract as well, sorry." His words felt like knives.
"Do you want to hide that you had placed Stella in confinement?" She asked, feeling enraged.
