Due to the perennial snow and ice cover, the area was a vast expanse of white.
The strong winds caused the helicopter to shake violently. Qin Yi remained expressionless, while General Yang and the soldiers beside him trembled uncontrollably.
The turbulence filled them with fear.
"Your Majesty, the helicopter cannot fly to the mountaintop. We'll have to walk up." General Yang said.
Qin Yi's eyes flickered, and he nodded slightly. Then, he stood up from his seat and pulled open the helicopter door.
This action stunned General Yang and the others.
"I'll go first. Follow me quickly."
The snowstorm was fierce, and General Yang and the soldiers found it difficult to even speak while standing on the helicopter in such weather.
"Your Majesty!" General Yang had just called out when Qin Yi, who had stood up, leaped down.
"What?!"
General Yang, bundled up tightly, was dumbfounded, and the soldiers gulped nervously.
After recovering from the shock, General Yang hurried to the helicopter door and looked down.
From his vantage point, he saw Qin Yi's figure quickly draw a black line through the sky before landing heavily on the Himalayas below, causing the ground to crack with a thunderous sound.
"Is this the power of the Dragon Emperor?!"
Three seconds later, when Qin Yi bent down and stood up again, General Yang was shocked.
From a height of several hundred meters, he had just jumped like that, and it wasn't he who got hurt, it was the mountain?
Qin Yi now stood halfway up the snow-covered Himalayas. He looked around, finding it difficult to determine the direction at this altitude.
After a while, he realized he had jumped too early. Without General Yang to guide him, he couldn't find the location.
Attempting to circulate the power within his body, Qin Yi found that it had recovered by about 30 to 40 percent.
"It's barely enough!"
He began walking up the mountain at a steady pace. Five or six minutes later, General Yang and the soldiers hurriedly caught up.
"Your Majesty, please follow me." General Yang, with high emotional intelligence, showed great respect and reverence for Qin Yi.
"Hmm." Qin Yi nodded.
The group formed a line and, led by General Yang, headed toward the mountain pass. Over an hour later, they saw the Golden Pagoda located at the center of an ancient temple on the mountainside.
"Is this the entrance to Shangri-La?" Qin Yi's gaze sharpened as he asked.
His voice, due to the terracotta body, had a metallic, clanging tone.
"Your Majesty, it is indeed here. As long as we place this diamond on the top of the Golden Pagoda, it will illuminate the entrance to Shangri-La, and Your Majesty will achieve eternal life!" General Yang said, exhaling heavily.
"Once I am unsealed, your contributions will not be forgotten!" Qin Yi nodded.
Then, he reached out to General Yang and said, "Give me the diamond!"
General Yang was momentarily stunned but didn't hesitate. He took the diamond from his pocket and handed it to Qin Yi.
Next, the group walked toward the temple.
Upon entering the temple, Qin Yi saw O'Connell and his group, just as in the original story.
"Kill them." With just a glance, Qin Yi calmly ordered General Yang.
General Yang obeyed his command without question. With a wave of his hand, he led the soldiers into the temple.
Meanwhile, Qin Yi's gaze turned directly to the Golden Pagoda in the courtyard. He was deeply intrigued by Shangri-La, a legendary place in this world.
"Shangri-La, in this world, is said to have the Mythical Water. It is a mystical land." Qin Yi thought silently as he walked toward the Golden Pagoda.
Nearby, General Yang and O'Connell's group had already begun exchanging fire, and the battle was intense. They even used rocket launchers. However, the result made Qin Yi frown.
Compared to the protagonist's team, General Yang and his soldiers' combat abilities could only be described as pitiful. After a long while, they still hadn't managed to eliminate these people.
At this moment, the woman named Lin was shouting to summon the snow apes.
Qin Yi stepped toward the Golden Pagoda. Seeing this, O'Connell's team immediately tried to stop him. Jonathan shouted, implementing Plan B, which was to blow up the Golden Pagoda.
A dozen seconds later, Qin Yi stood on the waist of the Golden Pagoda and saw two snow apes charging out from the snowy mountains, running and roaring towards him.
"Two beasts."
With a cold smile, Qin Yi waved his right hand.
The ancient Dragon Emperor possessed the power to control the five elements, and his own strength was rapidly recovering. Dealing with these creatures would be a piece of cake.
Large flames appeared in the air, transforming into two fireballs that shot towards the two snow apes at incredible speed. The soldiers led by General Yang watched in terror as the snow apes charged towards them, their blood running cold.
At that moment, one of the fireballs collided with a snow ape, sending it flying through the air. After rolling over a dozen times, its fur was scorched, and it lay motionless.
Seeing this scene, O'Connell and the others were filled with fear.
"He can use abilities beyond our understanding. What do we do?"
Lin's expression also turned grim as she sensed that this Dragon Emperor was not quite what her mother had described.
"My ambition to unify the world, who can stop me?" Qin Yi took a few steps up to the top of the pagoda, placing the diamond on it. He looked down coldly and said,
"Jonathan!" At that moment, O'Connell shouted.
Jonathan, hiding beneath the pagoda, had already placed explosives on it and was ready to detonate them.
"Five thousand years of glorious history cannot be trampled by you wretched creatures. Get lost!" Suddenly, Qin Yi's roar echoed like thunder.
Jonathan, about to detonate the explosives, felt dizzy and collapsed to the ground.
With a cold snort, Qin Yi placed the diamond on the top of the Golden Pagoda.
In an instant, a mesmerizing light shot from the top of the pagoda, converging into a beautiful line that pointed towards a certain direction in the Himalayas, projecting the entrance to Shangri-La before everyone.
"Right there!" Qin Yi followed the light with his gaze, locking onto the entrance of Shangri-La.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a deep rumbling sound echoed, and everyone looked up at the mountain peak, their expressions changing drastically.
"An avalanche? What a boring plot twist!" Qin Yi remained expressionless, slowly raising both hands.
"Your Majesty, hurry! It's dangerous!" General Yang reminded Qin Yi, not forgetting to warn him.
His soldiers were not strong in combat, struggling to deal with these adventurers, which made him anxious, furious, and ashamed.
He could be considered the first to pledge allegiance to this Dragon Emperor, and such performance made him feel a bit disdainful of himself.
"Crash!"
A massive amount of snow rolled down the mountainside, growing larger and larger. Looking up, the entire world was covered in white, creating a stunning sight.
This was the power of nature; as the snow cascaded down, ripples spread like waves across the ground.
Standing atop the Golden Pagoda, Qin Yi's expression was indifferent.
Soon, the avalanche reached him, and this natural force caused both sides engaged in battle to cease fighting, their eyes filled with despair.
At that moment, Qin Yi raised his hands and quickly formed hand seals.
"Katon: Gōka Mekkyaku (Fire Release: Grand Fire Annihilation)!"
