AMAYA'S POV
What did the elder just say? They knew I was not a wolf. They knew I was human. My life was over.
My heart started to beat unlike ever before. My knee became weak and my head light as the words spoken repeated itself in my head. This was not what I expected even though I had a hunch that the truth would be sniffed out of me. I just did not expect that it was these oldies. I was finished due to the fact that they claimed they held a higher power than their alpha.
"I, Elder Rumlar and the rest of us, mortal, do not appreciate this," said the elder while stroking his beard and glaring at me with his piercing, sharp blue eyes.
I swallowed and looked at each of them. How was I going to defend myself? If they told Maxim to toss me out, he would before they even completed their sentence. What was I going to do to escape this? I just got here and the thought of surviving on my own with a child that was most likely not human was not the best option right now.
