After everything that had happened with me being pinned to the wall by Maxim, I had rushed back into his room and buried myself under the covers of the thick blanket in shock. Everything he had said to me was unexpected and it had made me feel a buzz in my tummy. He made me feel like a girl who had a crush on her next-door neighbor who was unattainable. His choice of words, his tone of voice and the look in his eyes left me feeling delusional with the idea of him wanting me. No matter how tough he presented himself as, I knew deep down that he was attracted to me.
