Chapter 45: Harry Potter and the new problem
A tanned man dressed formally in robes looked seriously at a black-haired youth who had a completely exasperated look on his face. Honestly speaking, Harry never thought that would happen. Even with his strange luck, he never expected this. He hoped to relax by seeing the scenery after his trip to the One Piece world, completely relax from everything, and think a little about his rewards, especially Elemental Sight and Divine Left Hand, the former obtained from his trip to One Piece and the latter obtained from completing the information dimension quest. He still had a bit to figure out, but when he used Elemental Sight for the first time, he understood everything better and obtained the reward for that quest.
Both were powerful magics, but the latter had a small problem that he had to solve by using five thousand chat points and buying another skill to cope with the pain that came with using Divine Left Hand.
"Mr. Anand Arya..." Harry rubbed his forehead as he put aside his food. His appetite had completely vanished. "Does your ministry not have any wizards to deal with this problem?"
The man, Anand Arya was a man in his fifties, wearing a white suit; his eyes were amber and on his forehead, there were three white lines. This man was the Minister of Magic of India. Apparently, they had a problem with some dark wizards and when they heard that Harry Potter, the young man who had graduated from Hogwarts as a genius and fought with the current Dark Lord was in Karnataka, they decided to ask for help.
"Of course, we have excellent wizards!" Anand replied seriously. "Sadly, this is no longer a matter as simple as defeating dark wizards in a raid. Three days ago we discovered that their leader had raised a Basilisk and it is difficult for us to simply attack."
"What makes you think I can defeat a Basilisk?" Harry asked with a hard look.
Anand sighed a little, "We, the Indian Ministry of Magic, didn't just come here to ask for your help without doing some research. We contacted Mr. Dumbledore to check some of your background. He was the one who told us it was possible for you."
Harry gritted his teeth, feeling a great deal of annoyance and the urge to punch Dumbledore.
"What do I gain from this?" Harry asked seriously. "While it's possible for me to kill a Basilisk, I won't risk my life for nothing."
Sadly, at that moment, before Anand could respond, Harry jumped up to him and hugged him before throwing himself to the side.
*BOOOOM!* *CRASH!*
The wall behind Harry exploded, causing part of the interior of the Restaurant to collapse and glass to explode. The people inside began to scream in fear and some in pain as planks of the roof fell on them. At the same time, beams of different colors shot out from over ten wands, all at Harry Potter and Anand Arya.
However, a semi-transparent shield repelled them, bouncing forward, hitting the walls and causing more destruction.
"GAHAHAHAHAHA!!", a loud, deranged laugh was heard as the dust settled, revealing a man sitting on the head of a large Basilisk; the hisses of the enormous snake made all the people trapped inside the Restaurant tremble, its yellowish and poisonous eyes staring forward without a care.
When Harry looked at the man, unafraid of the Basilisk, he was shocked to see his appearance. His face was not in any way ugly, he had pale skin and dazzling red eyes. However, he had six arms; three on each side with each one holding something different. The two middle hands held a wand each, the two upper hands held axes and the other two lower hands held swords.
"You!" Anand exclaimed furiously, but his expression was filled with sweat and fear. "You were actually capable of such a disgusting ritual!!"
"Gahahaha! Disgusting?! Don't make me laugh, Anand!" the man laughed loudly, but his eyes showed how angry he was. "In the end, you were the one who pushed me into this. If you had given up and handed over the position of Minister, perhaps this wouldn't have happened."
"Our great magic community is dwindling because of you and your friendship with those disgusting non-magicians! We are superior, Anand! We were blessed by the gods!"
Suddenly, an unstoppable momentum spread everywhere, causing the dark wizards to fall to the ground unconscious, leaving only the leader of the dark wizards conscious next to the Basilisk. Harry was a little surprised to see this, he didn't expect the two to even flinch.
The man could only watch as Harry Potter disappeared with the Ministry of Magic.
"Grr," he growled angrily. This time he had thought to finish off Anand once and for all; he had also received the information about Harry Potter. He thought it was the perfect time to attack and destroy the two of them, but he didn't expect this development.
. . .
"Where are we?" Anand asked when he saw that they were in a stall inside a bathroom.
"The bathroom at the airport I arrived at," Harry replied before leaving when he sensed that there was no one inside the bathroom.
"Now... What did you mean by ritual?"
Anand frowned in disgust as he recalled the dark wizard's appearance. His hand reached out to his face and wiped away his sweat.
"It's a dark ritual, almost on par with Horcruxes. This doesn't have an effect on the soul like the first one, but rather on the body and mind. When the ritual is completed, the person who underwent it gains four arms and their strength and speed more than double; at the same time, the person gains great mental resistance, so attacks like Legilimency or potions like Veritaserum would have no effect."
"The problem is no longer its effects, but the way it is performed and the side effect it has on the person who uses it," Anand closed his eyes tightly as he growled a little. And Harry just listened attentively with his arms crossed and a frown. In his opinion, this ritual did have to do with the soul. After all, if it increased mental resistance and defense, then it had to do with a person's soul, which was related to the psyche and spiritual energy.
"In order to accomplish the ritual, the person has to drink blood and eat human... flesh. Simply put, they become cannibals. And the more time passes, the more addicted they become to it. And for this reason, it was called the Rakshasa Ritual."
"Great... first an idiot who mutilated his own soul, and now an idiot who became a cannibal appears," Harry let out a tired sigh before shaking his head, there was no point in thinking about these things so much, his head would hurt trying to figure out what was in the heads of these kinds of people.
"First of all, I don't think the information of this kind of ritual is public, it should be guarded. And secondly, that man seemed to know you quite personally from the way he used to talk to you."
Anand nodded immediately.
"You're right. This information is kept in the Ministry. And yes, we did meet; in fact we were friends from the time we were students. Devdan... that's his name; a man twisted by power and his supremacist ideas that we, wizards and witches, are blessed by the gods. When I won the election to be Minister, he was really angry and decided to disappear, no one had seen him a few months ago, when all this started."
Harry snorted a little before walking out of the bathroom: "Come on, sir, let's talk while we walk. For some people it will be suspicious to continue talking in the bathroom."
Anand sighed a little, but nodded.
When they left the bathroom, they immediately felt surrounded by the large number of people at Kochi International Airport.
"Do you know how many wizards are part of this group? Do they have any names? What do you know about their power levels?" Harry asked three questions immediately; he wanted to know what he could about their current problems. The more information you get, the easier it will be to deal with them.
"Around a hundred wizards are part of this group, but each of them at a high level of magic. Each one could be considered an expert in dueling, but without any compassion or honor, which makes them more dangerous when they seek any means to win in a battle."
"Devdan has become a dark and ruthless man, he will not hesitate to discard what does not serve him, even his followers."
"As for the name of the group... they have not had one, but I would not be surprised if people gave them one after what happened today," Anand shook his head as he finished speaking as they left the airport.
Harry frowned a little, he needed a little more information. Even if he could defeat all the enemies alone, he wanted to be sure not to be caught off guard.
"Do you have something in mind?" Harry asked.
"We'll head to Kalale, where there's a wizarding community. From there, we'll be able to use Apparition without any problems and we'll plan more carefully."
"Good..." Harry nodded.
