It was a deep-blue morning, as I remained nestled in my bed.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
How annoying.
I slammed my fist against the alarm, hoping to turn it off.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Sigh...
Reaching my arm over, I turned it off.
Another day.
I stared a while at the ceiling, thinking how boring my life's become.
Everyday, it's the same. I wake up, go to work, and get home.. just to repeat the whole process over again.
Sitting up in my bed, shirtless, I looked around my room.
Around me, I had everything I ever wanted. A comfortable house, my own bathroom, food of any kind, and yet...
Something was missing.
As I walked around my room to gather my usual business attire clothes, I was feeling extra tired, much more than usual.
Maybe I need some coffee.
No...
I need something else.
I went to my bathroom, flicking the lights on.
I need a cold bath.
Peeking back around the door's frame into my room, I saw I had about an hour or so before I had to leave to work.
If there's one thing that makes me happy in this world, it's a cold bath.
I crouched down at the bath, turning the lever as I reached my hand out under the water.
OUCH!
Too hot.
Turning the lever, I felt the coldness rush against my hands.
Much better.
As the tub was filling up, I walked over to my mirror and just... stared.
Despite being only 25, I couldn't help but realize how much older I look.
I leaned forward, tilting my head, eyes-widened into the mirror.
My usual bright brown eyes were much darker today.
I grabbed my brush and wet it with running sink water.
Maybe a new hairstyle would help.
I brushed my hair back with some leftover gel.
Gotta replace that.
With a sweep backwards of my brush, I looked like an action star.
Now that...
I smiled, just barely.
Looks way better.
The running bath water from behind, started to quiet.
Oops, almost forgot.
I turned around, and pulled my pajamas down with my boxers only remaining.
30 minutes, that should be enough.
I hopped in, water splashing against the sides.
My rubber ducky fell in.
Ahhhh, feels like a massage parlor.
My shoulders lowered, relaxing from the coldness.
I leaned my head backwards, gazing at the ceiling.
How did it get like this?
I used to be so much more energetic.
I used to want to talk to people.
Now? It's just...
My body lowered into the bath, my chin just being barely above the water.
Draining.
I submerged myself fully.
This feels amazing.
The bubbles flowed past my cheeks, slightly tickling me.
Oops, I ruined my hair. Oh well...
I stared up at the ceiling from under.
Sometimes, I wish I lived in another world. To escape this reality and start all over.
That would be nice...
I closed my eyes, still holding my breath.
But right now, I don't ever wanna leave this tub.
Then suddenly...
The tub began to shake, shooting my eyes shot open.
An earthquake?!
I tried to sit up, but the water above had bent around my head like jello.
What the!?
I tried reaching my hands out from the surface, but it stretched, forming along my hands.
What's going on!?
My mind raced, as I reached for my head.
Was it the gel in my hair!?
My chest began to beat, faster than it ever did before.
I pressed with all my strength against the water's surface, however...
The water above me felt like a casket, locking me down.
I see...
As I slowly closed my eyes, the bubbles around me began to rush up violently toward the surface.
My rubber ducky floated above me, blocking the light.
So this is how I die.
I opened my mouth, letting the water seep within.
If there's one thing I regret, it's.. having no regrets.
I never took a risk in this world.
My eyes fully shut, as the water drowned me.
Goodbye world... I'll miss the food and manga.
A New World
Huh?
My eyes remained shut, but the water wasn't drowing me.
I can breath?
My eyes opened to see that despite being completely submerged, I could breath as if the water was air.
Am I... dead?
Yet, I looked up to see an unfamiliar ceiling, with strange instrical patterns.
Odd.
I reached my arm out to see if I could leave.
And sure enough...
My arm is out of the water!
I couldn't help but smile, as I thought I was dead moments ago.
Or am I dead? Is this heaven?
I submerged my entire upper body, still sitting down in the tub.
Looking around, the place seemed strange. It has a reminensce to it, with familar accents of modern and white-fantasy blend.
Then I heard a girl's voice come from the corner.
"Yes master, I will see you next week. Take care," the voice said, before the sudden sounds of a door creaked open.
Oh shit!
I quickly re-submerged, breathing underwater.
What the hell--Am I inside someone's house!? I'm totally gonna get arrested!
A melodic hum filled the air, as I tried to stay as quiet as possible.
Then, faint sharp sounds of wisps pierced my ears.
What is that sound? It sounds like a laser-rifle in a sci-fi movie.
"All done," the girl said, her footsteps getting louder.
Is she coming here!?
My eyes widened, staring frantically at the visible corner above.
Don't see me, don't see me, don't see me.
Then...
A beautiful girl's face came into view.
Woah.
She had white silver hair, a cute small nose, and striking aqua-blue eyes. She wore a light-pink sleeveless gown, complimenting her soft arms.
She's a cutie. Wait-
She looked down at the water, her eyes slightly widening.
That's it, it's over for me.
I'm going to prison.
She reached her arm down, but aimed towards my crotch area.
WOAH!?
My head snapped down to look.
It was my rubbery ducky.
"What is this?" she asked, picking it up.
Does she not see me?
I stared at her, unmoving.
"I've never seen this thing, was it master's?" she muttered, confusion etched on her face as she closely at it.
I couldn't help but think about her beauty. She almost didn't seem real, yet she was, right in front of me.
She shrugged her shoulders, before whistling.
A little blue light came flying into view besides her.
What the...
A tiny-voice came out from it. "I can take it to her, Lily."
She smiled at it, and replied softly. "Okay, Meepo."
The blue light swooped the duck from her hands, flying around her out of view.
Meepo? What is it, a drone? No, that thing is way too tiny. And not to mention... this girl doesn't look normal. She's almost too ethereal. This has to be...
My eyes widened as the girl begun to undress herself, lowering her gown's strap down her shoulder.
An elf.
An Unforunate Situation
She moved the hair from her ears, revealing small-pointy ears.
I knew it! She's not human. And if she's not human, that means...
I couldn't help but grin.
I've been reincarnated!
The bath began to suddenly form a wave of bubbles, popping and splashing.
The elf watched, brow raised in confusion.
"Strange," she lifted her hand over the water, then whispered in an unusual language.
"Calm."
The bubbles ceased.
My eyes were widened from the site.
Was that magic? No, that was totally magic.
I'm in heaven after all...
My body sunk to the bottom of the tub as I was in total bliss.
The elf then slowly began lowering her gown's other shoulder.
Wait...
I watched, every moment feeling like an eternity as the anticipation slowly killed me.
No, this is wrong. I have to-
My eyes met hers for just a moment, although her gaze was clearly unknowing.
I have to stop her.
I closed my eyes, accepting the consequences of my next actions.
I called out to her.
"Stop!"
She froze, eyes glancing at the water.
With a soft and composed voice, she spoke. "Who's there?"
That's it, i'm getting arrested. Man... I hope elf prisons have good food.
As I reached out my two hands out in surrender, "Alright, allow me to explain--"
My words were cutt short with a defeaning blast.
"Burst!"
My previous view, was now full of debris and dust.
What... just happened?
And yet, the water around me still remained.
I was still in the tub. It was as if I did not move, but the area around me did?
The surrounding debris was suddenly lifted into the air, revealing the girl standing there, her gown's strap still lowered.
"Who are you?" she asked, aiming her hand out toward me.
'He's unharmed?' she thought, slight concern etched on her face.
The entire of my upper-body was emerged from the bath, and yet, my legs could not escape.
I can't stand?! I'm stuck.
"I won't ask again," she demanded, with a serious glare.
I looked up at her, still half-way submerged.
"I know this is going to sound crazy, but-"
Like a natural instinct, I tried to walk, but suddenly...
The entire bathtub rose with me!
Looking down, I could see my entire body, like I was lying down still.
The water isn't escaping!?
The tub rocked back and forth as if it was my legs doing the wobbling.
Am I a bathtub!?
