As morning arrives the first day of classes begin, Blaze finds himself in Introduction to Magic, sitting in the back room with Arlan and Taiga chatting waiting for class to begin.
"I asked around looks like the three of us are the only ones sharing a room" Taiga says annoyed.
Blaze just shrugs "maybe there's a reason why we're sharing a room, beside why complain when we don't know what their rooms look like, pretty sure I saw a large group of first years lining up in the hallway last night to shower."
"Blaze makes a good point, think of it like this we have our own bathroom, a shower and a bath which even among a lot of nobles having both is a luxury, a small kitchen on top of we have an unfurnished room that we could possibly use for gaming" Arlan states.
Before the boys can continue a tall elvish woman with long black hair with looks comparable to someone in their late 20s walks in.
"That's enough class has begun, I'm Professor Madeline S. FireWalker, and I'm in charge of your freshman unfortunately" the professor disdainfully declares.
A young girl raises her hand and the professor reluctantly allows her to speak.
"Excuse me professor but your speaking to us with contempt you don't even know us plus that is no way to treat us nobles" the young girl complains.
"and that's why I hate freshmen you all have this delucison that you have any authority here, your status means nothing here" Professor FireWalker yells.
The class grumbles in response and as the class goes on the professor realizes a student isn't paying any attention.
"It's Blaze isn't it, your practical exam was impressive" Professor FireWalker says.
"The ability to cast multiple beginner level spells simultaneously was impressive enough but to increase the potency of even such a simple spell and to fuse the elements together was simply captivating, which begs the question why are you in my class."
Blaze looks up "are you actually asking?"
"Not really" she stares at Arlan and Taiga "I'm sure I can think of a couple reasons why after all".
The Professor pauses for a moment before resuming class "who can tell me the 5 main attributes?".
A student with blue hair stairs their hand.
"Ah yeah Ms. Amelia Lawrence, Go Ahead" Professor FireWalker says.
"Thank you Mam, the 5 main attributes are Fire, Water, Electric, Air, and Earth" Amelia answers.
"Can you name 2 secondary attributes"
"They are Ice, Poison and Steel I believe?" Amelia responds.
"Correct secondary are also known as subclass attrubutes as in theyre subclass of a main attribute or a combination of primaries, Ice is a subclass of water, steel a subclass of earth, most are unaware of this but there's a rare subclass known as Lava which derives from fire, Lightning has Thunder as a subclass which also falls under sound magic which is a special attribute. "
Professor FireWalker continues "Now let's talk special attributes, those are Light which also include Holy Magic, Darkness which includes Shadow Magic, Sound Magic as well, lastly we have magics that no longer exist for various reasons which we refer to as 'Ancient Magic' or 'Lost Magics' which include Time, Space, Gravity, Fusion, Life, Death and lastly Celestial."
Most of the is absorbing every last details other groaning over the lecture, and some just not interested at all namely Blaze.
"Professor you said those magics no longer exist, yet didn't someone just use Gravity magic during the entrance exam?" Amelia asks.
"That's difficult to explain…" Professor FireWalker attempts to explain.
"If he can do it than so can we", "nothing a commoner can do that we can't" the room echoes with the arrogance of nobles.
"Quiet down… that's not the case it wouldn't matter how much you tried or how big your mana capacity is, it's impossible anyone else wield it" FireWalker insists.
"Why's that what make him so special" Amelia inquires.
"As I was trying to say that's difficult to explain without violating his privacy." FireWalker answers.
Amelia along with a few others approach Blaze "spill it how can you of all people use Gravity magic yet supposedly none of can."
Blaze just rolls his eyes "is that how you ask, I guess nobles are too used to just getting their way, maybe if you got on your knees and begs like a good little puppy then maybe I'd answer you" he answers with a playful smirk upon his face.
Amelia's face turns bright red as she attempts to smack Blaze to save face "How dare a mongrel like you speak to me like that".
Her group await the sound of impact only to be disappointed by the sight of Blaze intercepting the attempt by grabbing her arm and forcing into painful submission.
"You're quite easy to provoke." Blaze snickers.
Blaze looks at Professor FireWalker "you're the professor you explain it".
~sighs~ "fine…. Let's starts with Space and Time Magic, first lesser spells can still be used such as item box and blink which are spatial by nature, some mages have the ability to temporary slow down time but it's rare for them to actually be using the temporal spell slow, so usually they're using speed magic to affect the space around them, but as a whole space-time magic no longer exist in fact the ancient elder twin dragons Chronos & Rift are two of one three beings alive that can use them".
"Next is Gravity magic as you know, Blaze here is able to use it" FireWalker begins to explain then stops in stares at Blaze "are you alright with them knowing."
"It doesn't bother me, them knowing won't change anything either." Blaze says shrugging.
"Alright then, the reason Blaze can wield Gravity magic has a large part to do with the fact that he was raised in Monarch's Refuge, raised by the very twin dragons I just mentioned, another reason is the way he uses magic is different then all of us, but that's all I'll say on that".
"Moving on we have fusion magic, technically it still exists are more accurate we recreated it in the form of combination magic it's not quite the same thing, with combination magic where combining 2 or more spell, even 2 or more attributes but where fitting them together like a puzzle, whereas fusion is just like it sounds they fuse together perfectly, let's see Life and Death Magic, like fusion magic they exist in a new inferior form, Holy Magic which is a sub form of Light Magic, is actually an inferior form of Life Magic, and Necromancy which is a form of Dark Magic is likewise and inferior form of Death Magic, with a major difference, Life and Death Magic worked hand in hand similar to Space-Time, without any issues unlike Holy Magic and Necromancy".
Professor FireWalker watches as everyone diligently writes everything down waiting for them to finish before continuing on.
"Ok lastly Celestial Magic, first yes Celestial Elves still exist as do Moon Elves, unfortunately they're no longer able to use the Celestial Arts, not much is known since unlike the other types we talked about the Celestial Arts worked similar to the Spirit Arts, Dragon Arts & Beast Arts, and no one knows why they disappeared, what we do know is that they were the first to disappear from history".
Professor FireWalker takes a breather before finishing up her lecture "and that's all there is to it."

Monarchs Legacy
•••••••••••••••••••••
"Professor you didn't explain why we can't use them at all you just gave us a history lesson on them" Amelia complains.
"It's because everyone uses Mana" Blaze blurts outs
"Of course we use Mana that's how you use magic everyone knows that" Amelia retorts.
"I don't, in fact I don't have a speck of Mana running through me" Blaze says plainly.
"Then how can you cast magic, unless you're admitting you cheated during the exam" Amelia says coldly.
Blaze looks at Arlan and snickers "looks like you have an idea about it."
"If these 'lost Magic's' are ancient types that disappeared then it would go to reason that they relied on a different power source right?" Arlan inquires.
"Aether, the original fuel for magic it still exists all around us, essentially from the way Chronos explained it, Mana is a significant diluted and highly condensed inferior version of Aether, even the elders can't explain what happened exactly but something happened that all being basically couldn't feel Aether anymore let alone use it so after a few thousand years apparently the ability to use mana came to be though the how is only spectaculated." Blaze reveals.
"So you're trying to tell us you can use this so called 'Aether' hah don't make me laugh you're pathetic making up stories" Amelia yells.
"Heh… let take this to the practical fields, I'll prove it." Blaze replies with confidence.
As the class heads out to the practical fields they pass a group of second and third years sparring on the first couple fields, they make their way to the furthest field.
Once everyone gathers Blaze steps forward and closes his eyes, as he takes a step a magic circle forms on the ground below his foot and spread across the entire length of the practical field, as his eyes open, his eyes are glowing his left silver that of a wolf, his right, golden, that of a dragon, and overwhelming aura emits from his body, the sky darkens and a thunderstorm from, rain pours down as lightning bolts strike repeatedly, the ground freezes as he takes another step, with a small motion of his arm the ground splits open flames erupt from the cracks, a vicious wind envelops the field, the crack in the ground, in seconds time stops, the class frozen in time fully aware of everything going on around them.
Blaze extends 2 fingers out in the shave of a v, and when he closes the gap between them, the elements suspended in the air all fuse together perfectly in the form of arrow, with a single motion he launches it at a target, upon striking the bullseye with a snap of his finger the arrow of pure magic implodes upon itself the chain reaction absorbed into a small black hole before said black hole collapses upon itself, all this inside a barrier.
As Blaze's eyes return to normal he notices mouth agape not just from his classmates but from older students who at some point gathered.
"Still think I'm full of crap" Blaze says with a smirk as class comes to an end.
Blaze walks away without another word, his next class, Advance Arithmetics.
