I watched with disdain as Emma's parents called out to her, begging me to let her go. But I wasn't having it. I dragged her to the car, throwing her inside with a rough gesture.
Just as I was about to get in, Blake stepped forward, I could tell from his eyes that he wanted to say no toms.
"You can't take her away from her family, Ian," he growled.
I sneered at him, my fangs elongating in annoyance. "Mind your own business, Blake," I snarled, my claws extending. "This doesn't concern you."
But Blake refused to back down. He stood his ground, his eyes flashing with defiance. "I won't let you hurt her, Ian," he said, his voice firm.
"Leave my presence, Blake. Now."
But Blake just smiled a cold, calculating smile. "I am not going anywhere, Ian," he said, his eyes glinting with challenge.
That was it. I had enough of his insolence. I punched him in the face, my fist connecting with a satisfying crunch.
