{CHAPTER 5: Miraculous}
"Hahahaha!"
The instant Kurama reappeared in their original world, clutching the Miracle Box tightly in his arms, Kuroshio couldn't hold it in any longer. Laughter erupted from his chest—pure, unfiltered joy.
He did it.
He stole the Miracle Box.
Master Fu's greatest treasure, the foundation of the Miraculous Order, here it was, resting in the hands of someone Fu would never have chosen.
---
Kuroshio watched as Kurama carefully placed the Miracle Box on his desk.
Taking a breath, he reached forward and slowly lifted the lid.
He did a quick mental count.
Fox. Bee. Snake. Rabbit. Tiger. Ox. Rooster. Dog. Monkey. Dragon. Horse. Goat. Pig.
Thirteen.
The only ones missing were the Cat, Ladybug, Butterfly, Peacock, and Turtle Miraculouses.
That was expected.
What wasn't expected—what shouldn't have been possible—was the Rabbit Miraculous.
It was here. Still inside the box.
Kuroshio's fingers hovered over the clock-shaped pendant.
His eyes narrowed.
"That shouldn't be here."
The Rabbit Miraculous was supposed to be in the Kubdel family, passed down through generations, eventually landing in Alix's hands. That was how the timeline worked… right?
But it was here. Right in front of him.
His mind churned, gears turning.
Maybe the one in the Kubdel family was a future duplicate? A Miraculous that had been passed back in time by a future holder? If so… did they still have it?
Or had he just created a paradox?
A cold realization settled in.
If he had the present Rabbit Miraculous… then no one else could use it.
Or rather, no one else will.
Time travel was already an absurdly broken ability. But if the Miraculous never ended up in the Kubdel family in the first place, then that entire chain of events might never happen.
Alix, Bunnix, all her time-traveling... did he just erase them?
Kuroshio swallowed.
It was a problem for later. Right now, he had something more pressing to deal with.
Securing the Miraculouses.
"Where should I hide them?" he muttered, glancing around his room.
Stuffing them in a drawer? Too obvious.
A safe? Still too risky.
Bury them somewhere? Terrible idea.
His eyes landed on his Reality Travel system screen.
"…Can I store them in the system?"
It was worth checking.
It was worth checking.
He tapped on the screen, opening a menu labeled Inventory. A new slot had appeared since he stole the Miracle Box.
[ Miracle Box - Stored ]
"Perfect."
The Miracle Box vanished from sight, absorbed into the system's inventory space, where no could reach it.
Now, he could freely access the Miraculous whenever he needed, without the risk of them being stolen back.
---
Hiding the Miraculous was one thing. Using one was another.
Kuroshio wasn't that reckless—he wasn't going to transform in his room like some idiot.
But if he wanted real power, he had to start using one.
He took a deep breath, organizing his thoughts.
"Think logically. Which one should be my main Miraculous?"
Each one was tempting in its own way, but not all were practical.
Fox Miraculous – Illusions. Could be useful.
Bee Miraculous – Speed and paralysis. Not bad.
Snake Miraculous – Second chances. Imma be like Subaru without the dying part.
Dragon Miraculous – Three elements. A solid choice.
Monkey Miraculous – Disruption. Could be fun.
Mouse Miraculous – Size manipulation? Not sure about this one.
Horse Miraculous – Teleportation. A very strong ability.
Pig Miraculous – Shows someone's true desire? Useless.
Rabbit Miraculous – Time travel. too dangerous for now.
Rooster Miraculous – Ability creation. Potentially broken, but I don't know its limits yet.
Goat Miraculous - Make non-magic stuff. Maybe I can get rich if the things are permanent.
Dog Miraculous – Fetch. I don't think I'll be great at using it.
He had all these Miraculouses, but which one should he actually use? He needed to be smart about this.
Kuroshio sighed, rubbing his temples. No Miraculous was perfect.
The Fox Miraculous was tempting—illusions could be incredibly versatile, especially when used strategically.
The Horse Miraculous was also high on his list since teleportation was always useful.
Then there was the Snake Miraculous—Second Chance was an overpowered ability in the right hands. It allowed its user to rewind time up to five minutes. Five minutes might not seem like much, but used wisely, it was a game-changer.
That alone made it one of the strongest contenders.
Water. Wind. Lightning. Three elements in a single Miraculous. It was pure, destructive potential in a compact form. And the best part?
"It's similar to my Quirk."
If he decide to be a hero, he could frame the Dragon Miraculous as his own ability. The only problem would be that he wouldn't be able to use it without transforming.
That level of deception was dangerous, in a good way.
Kuroshio exhaled sharply. "Tough call."
He needed to think this through more. Maybe he'd test a few of them before making a final decision.
"Let's start with you."
Unsummoning Kurama first—just in case—he took out a miraculous from his inventory and wore it on his wrist.
A green glow flickered from the Miraculous as a small snake-like creature materialized before him.
Its golden eyes blinked as it took in Kuroshio's face, then its surroundings.
For a moment, there was silence.
The kwami blinked, filled with confusion. "This… is not Master Fu."
Kuroshio gave a disarming smile. "Nope. Name's Kuroshio. Pleasure to meet you, Sass."
The kwami narrowed his eyes. "Where is Master Fu?"
Kuroshio sighed, putting on his best 'trust me' face. "It's complicated. The Miracle Box needed to be… relocated."
Sass studied him carefully. "Your energy is different."
Kuroshio chuckled. "Yeah, I get that a lot."
The kwami remained silent for a moment before floating closer. "You are not the type of person Master Fu would normally entrust with a Miraculous."
"Yeah, well, how would you know what type of person I am?"
Sass didn't respond, but he didn't protest either.
That was good enough for now.
---
Alright," Kuroshio muttered to himself, glancing at the small creature hovering near him. "You want something to do, Sass? Let's see if we can entertain you for a bit."
Sass tilted his head, his golden eyes glimmering with curiosity. "Entertain me? I'm not a child, you know."
Clicking the remote control in his hand. The small Tv in the corner of his room came to life with a flicker of static before the screen displayed a drama series that had been trending on a few streaming platforms.
"There," Kuroshio said, tossing the remote aside. "Something to keep you occupied while I figure out some things."
Sass floated closer to the screen, watching the drama unfold with an expression that could only be described as "confused curiosity."
Satisfied that his little kwami companion was sufficiently distracted, Kuroshio turned his attention back to the Reality Travel System.
[You have gained 5,050,000 Karma Points.]
Kuroshio nearly choked. "The hell?"
Sass tilted his head. "Is something wrong?"
"Oh, nothing," Kuroshio muttered, trying to keep his face neutral. But inside, he was freaking out.
Five million Karma Points?!
How?!
How had he gotten that many points?!
He quickly pieced it together. Time travel had been involved. A future Ladybug had tried to stop him and failed. That meant the timeline had changed.
The system must have rewarded him for erasing an entire timeline.
"…Holy shit."
He had just erased an entire timeline.
"The whole damn script just got thrown out the window."
---
Along with getting Karma points for the first time, a new function was unlocked.
Curious, Kuroshio checked his system's new function: Karma Shop.
His gaze skimmed over the items, but one immediately caught his attention.
[Unique Ability Upgrade – Increase Maximum Avatars to 2.
Cost: 300,000 Karma Points]
"Only 300,000?" he mused. "That's dirt cheap compared to what I just got."
Without hesitation, he bought it.
He could now have two Avatars running simultaneously.
He looked over at Sass, still fixated on the TV drama. "This will make things a lot easier."
Sass glanced up, not really paying attention. "Hmm? Oh, right. did you do something?"
Kuroshio chuckled. "Yeah, I did. But it's not important right now." He leaned back, fingers still hovering over the screen.
Checking the rest of the shop, he found that a Universe Ticket cost 1,000,000 Karma Points.
He considered buying one but decided against it for now. There was still way too much to do in the Miraculous world.
His fingers idly traced the cool surface of the Snake Miraculous wrapped around his wrist.
"Guess we'll deal with that next time." he mused, watching Sass stare at the screen. "For now, enjoy your drama."
