Chapter 97 - Chapter 2217: Pursuit and Chaos

"STOPPPP!!!!!"

"WAIT!!!! LIU XIAO!" High Priest Wan Dao's voice rang out, full of desperation, as he rushed forward with all his might. His figure moved with incredible speed, driven by urgency. Beside him, Big Rage, the Chief, followed suit, his power surging as he too sped toward the unfolding catastrophe.

"BOOOOMMMMM"

"BOOOOMMMMMM!!!"

The ground trembled beneath the force of their movements, their godly power flaring to life as they launched themselves forward. The air crackled with energy as they pushed their limits, intent on stopping the catastrophic strike that was about to befall Yun Che.

High Priest Wan Dao, in terms of raw power, was the weakest among the group of the Ancient True Gods. As he rushed forward, the Chief Priest, speed past him, his form blurring with incredible swiftness. But even with Big Rage's greater strength, how could they possibly close the distance to Liu Xiao and Yun Che, who were now so close to each other?

The two Ancient True Gods' faces turned pale as they desperately rushed forward, but the gap seemed insurmountable. Their efforts were strained, and the weight of their realization only made their haste even more desperate.

In the midst of this, the Abyssal Monarch, Mo Su, acted without hesitation. His eyes narrowed with resolve as a small transparent mirror flashed into existence. Even with his immense power, Mo Su wasn't certain he could reach Yun Che in time to stop Liu Xiao. The distance between them was too great, and the time too short. Without a second thought, he activated the power of the Original Nether Void-Breaching Mirror. In that instant, the mirror shimmered, its mysterious energy flooding the area, as Mo Su dissappear.

In an instant, Mo Su appeared before Yun Che as his Eleven Worlds manifested around him, each world containing the heavenly laws he had mastered as he protected Yun Che. Mo Su really had no choice at this moment. Had Yun Che not shown the sword, Mo Su would have let this continue, but now, given the name of Yun Che's sword, there were just so many questions that he wanted answered immediately!

In the same instant Mo Su appeared, as his worlds empowered his power, Liu Xiao, who had gone mad, also appeared. His claws, like a palm, clashed down against Mo Su.

"BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!" The pair of Ancient True Gods clashed against one another!

Mo Su, with his higher cultivation, didn't even budge an inch, while Liu Xiao's eyes widened, as if he were returning to his senses. Yet, in the same moment, just before Mo Su could breathe a sigh of relief, a deadly crisis exploded within him. He tried to push all of his energy into defense, but he still felt his energy crumble away.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In that instant, Mo Su grabbed Liu Xiao, and their forms flew away into the distance. Mo Su's power exploded outward, pushing the figure behind him into the barriers as Yun Che spewed out blood and his conscious faded from the god's power!

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!"

Although the events were too complicated to explain fully, it all happened in an instant.

"YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!" Mo Su could feel his energy crumbling on his back as a burning sensation spread through him. It wasn't a fiery burning, but rather a suppression of a higher level of Law that was burning away his laws, his very essence. The laws contained within the strange gray flame were of a higher level, capable of pure destruction—of annihilating everything in its path.

Mo Su had no choice at this moment but to use all of his power to suppress this higher level of laws. He discarded all of his other abilities, focusing solely on survival as he fought to control everything in his reach. He has seen the records from Liu Xiao's memories! Although the flame can be extinguished, it destructive laws would still spread throughout one body annihilating all of their existence!

!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two Ancient True Gods, who had been rushing over, suddenly halted in their tracks. They watched in stunned silence as their Lord, Mo Su, was struck by the strange Gray Flame.

In the moment Liu Xiao rushed forward, their Lord had used the Heavenly Treasure to break the void and appear before Yun Che to protect him. Yet, at the same instant, it was as if Yun Che had already predicted someone would come to his defense. Yun Che's palm suddenly erupted with the Gray Flame, and he thrust it forward!

It was a trap! From the start, Yun Che had already planned this out! He had made Liu Xiao angry only after drawing the Ancient True Gods' curiosity about his sword. He knew that if Liu Xiao had killed him, they would never get the answer they needed. Yun Che had bet his very life that someone would step in to protect him!

Yun Che had revealed the sword's name, all for this moment! For this instant, for someone to step forward and fall into his trap! And that someone, unfortunately, was their very own Lord!

Mo Su was struck in the back by the Gray Flame—the very flame that had taken Ling Xian's life.

As the realization dawned on the True Gods, their gazes snapped toward the scene, their eyes widening in disbelief.

In that very same moment, the Gods came to realization of what just happen. Yun Che's bloodied body, broken that stuck at the barriers, the body that seem lifeless just moments before, suddenly erupted with an intense surge of Light Profound Energy—not from his body, but from his very soul. Li Suo's power surged, weaving through the pain and the destruction, healing the wounds that should have been impossible to mend. The energy filled Yun Che's spirit, reaching deep into the very core of his being.

It wasn't enough to fully heal him—his body was too far gone, shattered by Mo Su's power. But it was enough. Enough to restore him just enough to awaken, enough for him to regain his consciousness amidst the chaos.

"The spatial lock seems to be weakened! Yun Che!" Inside his mind, Li Suo's voice rang with urgency, echoing through the pain. Yun Che's eyes fluttered open, bloodied and broken, but filled with a quiet resolve. His blackened eyes gleamed, and in that instant, the red light of World Piercer's eyes flare to life as it covered his body!

But just as the spatial power of the World Piercer began to hum, ready to tear open the very fabric of space and carry him away to safety, a fleeting moment of emotions washed over Yun Che. Perhaps it was the relief that his plan had succeeded, that his escape was finally within reach—that, for once, he would leave everything behind and vanish into the Endless Fog Sea.

And then, in the last heartbeat before his figure disappeared, his eyes met Hua Caili's. For just an instant, their gazes locked, and in that brief moment, it was as if he was telling her goodbye. t was a final, silent farewell before his figure dissolved into the depths of space.

In the distance, Mo Su, who had just recovered from the panic of feeling his laws crumble, opened his eyes wide, suddenly realizing the grave mistake he had just made.

"Nether Mirror Spirit!" Mo Su roared, his voice filled with urgency as he gritted his teeth. At that very moment, the Spirit of the Original Nether Void-Breaching Mirror screamed out in his mind, its voice laced with both power and frustration.

"Using a vast distance teleport will consume my power greatly!"

"I've already used too much..." The spirit's words trailed off, hesitant and filled with concern.

"I can't lose Yun Che now!" Mo Su commanded, cutting the spirit off before it could finish its sentence, his determination crystal clear.

"Fine!" The spirit roared back, as if resigning itself to the inevitable. Before the Gods even had a chance to comprehend what was happening, before the Ancient True Gods, the True Gods, or even the Peak Divine Limited Realm practitioners could react, the world around them blurred.

In that instant, their vision flickered as the scene shifted, a sudden, overwhelming force altering their perception of reality. Time seemed to bend, and space stretched as if they were all caught in a maelstrom of divine power. The vast distance between them and their destination was swallowed by the energy, and in the blink of an eye, everything changed.

From the land where the Abyssal Dust was barely visible, they were suddenly thrust into a place where the dense abyssal dust could be felt pressing against them, thick and suffocating.

Yet, before they could even react, their vision blurred once more. In the blink of an eye, they found themselves in an even denser region of Abyssal Dust, the air heavier, the ground beneath them shifting as the power of the teleportation took hold.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were now deep within the Endless Fog Sea, the very heart of its abyssal depths.

"Yun Che is just up ahead! After him!" The Abyssal Monarch Mo Su's voice rang out in the minds of all those present, his tone sharp with command and urgency.

In that instant, it was as if everything fell into place. They all understood without question. Big Rage unleashed his vast power, the ground beneath his feet trembling as he surged forward. Liu Xiao and Wan Dao followed suit, their own divine energy flaring to life as they pushed ahead with relentless speed.

The Abyssal Dust parted before them like a curtain, revealing Yun Che's figure atop the Qilin Beast ahead, still moving swiftly through the oppressive fog. They sped into the depths with the fastest speed, determined to reach him before he could escape into the endless vastness of the sea.

"GO!!!!!!!!!" Mo Su commanded, his voice booming with authority as the Gods shot forward, their figures rush forward!

"ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!"

The Divine Limited Realm Abyssal Beasts and Abyssal Ghosts in the area also rushed forward toward the Gods, rushing to intercept them.

The roar of the beasts shook the heavens, their cries of fury filling the air as the Gods advanced. The very ground trembled beneath the power of their rush, and their divine might exploded outward in a magnificent surge of energy.

"BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!"

The bodies of the Abyssal Beasts were torn apart like clay in the face of an unrelenting storm. The power of the Ancient True Gods was so overwhelming that even the strongest of the beasts couldn't withstand it. The Gods and Divine Limited Realm practitioners also charged forward, their own might crushing the beasts and ghosts that stood in their path. Thanks to the strength of the leading Ancient True Gods and the Gods, the Divine Limited Realm practitioners were able to hold their own, pushing forward despite the chaos.

Though the Abyssal Beasts and Abyssal Ghosts were no match for the Gods, they were not without purpose. They slowed the Gods down, their relentless attacks forcing the Gods to fight through wave after wave of monstrous creatures, giving Yun Che a precious few moments to escape.

"Mirror Spirit!"

"...cough....." Mo Su's voice was desperate, his body trembling as he watched Yun Che's figure grow smaller in the distance. The intense strain of activating the Mirror's power was taking its toll on him. His defenses, once strong and unyielding, were crumbling at an alarming rate. He could feel his laws breaking apart, fading away like shattered glass.

"I can't anymore!" The Mirror Spirit's voice roared out, filled with frustration and exhaustion. It understood what Mo Su wanted to do, but even it had reached its limit. The vast energy required to break through the fabric of space here too much. The Mirror Spirit needed time to recover, or it risked completely depleting itself. It couldn't afford to drain its power any further—The Abyss itself was on the verge of collapse; it needs to reserve it final power to pierced into God Realm!

With no choice left, Mo Su watched helplessly as Yun Che continued to get further and further away. His mind raced with thoughts of failure, but he couldn't afford to let the moment slip away. With a raw roar, he called out to his people.

"IGNORE THE BEASTS! DO NOT LET YUN CHE GET AWAY!!!!"

His godly might resonated through the air, shaking the very ground beneath them. Everyone around him exchanged determined looks, their eyes steeled with resolve. They gritted their teeth, and in unison, they surged forward, their power flaring to life as they sped after Yun Che, leaving the beasts behind as some surviving beasts give chase.

As for Mo Su, with the injuries to his laws and his body slowly being consumed by the Gray Flame, he had no choice but to pour all his remaining strength into leaving the Endless Fog Sea. Every ounce of his energy was directed toward escaping, the burning pain of his body and broken laws almost unbearable. With each passing moment, he could feel his very essence unraveling, the cost of his decision weighing heavily on him.

In this moment of desperation, Mo Su has to place all his hope onto his Gods.

---------

"ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!"

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The roar of the beasts echoed through the air, shaking the very core of the Endless Fog.

???????

In the outer region of the Endless Fog, Qianye Ying'er, her golden form shimmering brightly, was startled. She had just caught her breath after slaying a Peak Divine Master Abyssal Beast when the beast's roar rang out, sending a shockwave through her soul. Though her cultivation had reached the First Level of the Divine Extinction Realm, thanks to the treasure she had stolen, she still felt her blood churn in her veins. The sheer power of the roar made her soul tremble.

"What..." she murmured softly, her eyes scanning the depths of the fog. Yet, despite her newfound strength, she could only see a few miles into the dense abyss. The vastness of the Endless Fog Sea stretched beyond her perception, and she knew that whatever had made that roar was far beyond her reach.

"I need to leave this place." The magnitude of the beast's roar, along with the overwhelming power she could feel, pushed her to make a decision. The time had come for her to leave the Endless Fog Sea. The longer she stayed, the more dangerous it became. She turned and began moving in the direction where the Abyssal Dust was thinning, hoping for a safer path.

Soon, before she could even fully escape the Endless Fog Sea, a familiar voice echoed in the air. She froze, her steps halting as she turned toward the source. Three figures emerged from the mist, walking toward her.

----------

God Realm - Eastern Divine Region - Snow Song Realm.

"BOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!"

The sky trembled as the white snow was torn apart by the violent clash of figures fighting, their powers shaking the very heavens.

"Stop! Wan'er, stop!" A desperate voice cried out, a father's plea filled with agony. He watched in horror as his daughter, lost in a frenzied, chaotic state, continued to attack without hesitation. Despite his cries, there was no response, no sign of recognition. She was too far gone.

"Die, die, die! Hahahaha! DIE!!!!" Wan'er's voice, distorted by madness, echoed through the snow, filled with an uncontrollable bloodlust. The God Realm had been plagued by something far worse than war—the Devil's Hate. Those who were infected with it lost all sense of self, consumed by the desire to kill. Their minds shattered, leaving only destruction in their wake.

"Stop!" The father's voice was strained, broken as he desperately tried to reach her. His heart shattered as he realized that no matter how many times he called, she couldn't hear him. His daughter, the one he had raised, was now nothing more than a puppet to her bloodlust.

"BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!"

The battle raged on, but in the end, the father was forced to make the most painful choice of his life. With tears streaming down his face, he gritted his teeth and struck his daughter down, her body collapsing in his arms as she finally found peace.

"Wan'er... ah... ah..." The father's voice cracked, his body trembling with grief as he held her lifeless form, his heart breaking in pieces.

"Why... just what have I done... WHY!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!" His anguished roar echoed into the heavens, a cry of a broken heart. He hugged her close, but there was no comfort, no solace. Only emptiness remained as the snow fell around them, cold and indifferent to his pain.

This tragic scene, unfortunately, was not isolated to the Snow Song Realm. It was spreading across all Divine Regions of the God Realm, touching every corner of their world.

From those with the lowest profound energy to even those standing at the peak of the God Realm, as long as they were infected with the Devil's Hate, they all lost their sanity. The madness consumed them, turning them into violent, bloodthirsty beings who cared for nothing but destruction.

There was no exception, except for one person. Yet, this person, at this very moment, was fighting against someone who should have been an ally to her. In the end, she too had to make the hardest of decisions, striking down her ally in a desperate attempt to protect herself and the rest of the world.

When the hateful, devilish energy leaked out of the cracks in the Primordial Wall, Caizhi, who was immune to all hateful thoughts, had been able to purify it from others. However, ever since that terrifying day a year ago, when the cracks deepened and more devilish energy poured into the God Realm, her ability to purify it had been stretched beyond its limits. She could no longer keep up. The entire God Realm was slowly being consumed, and even the Witches of the Devil's Empress, once her allies, had fallen victim to its corruption.

It had been a little over three years since Yun Che entered the Abyss. Three years! That should have equaled more than thirty years in the Abyss, a place where time moved differently.

"Just... what's going on...?" Caizhi whispered, the weight of the world pressing heavily upon her. Her mind swirled with confusion, unable to find clarity, even as more and more infected beings charged toward her.

"Brother-in-law... Yun Che... where are you?" Her voice trembled with desperation as she murmured his name.

"Please return home soon...otherwise...I... and everyone...might not be here...when you returned..."
