In the Council room in the Hokage Building, The Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi sat with Elder Homura, Koharu and Danzo. Mito's Shadow Clone sat in front of them with no expression on her face.
It's because of the news she had heard, and the map of the world placed on the table, showing the borders that Konoha shares with other countries.
"Another war, huh!" Mito murmured with a sigh, and they could feel the pain and tiredness in her voice.
"No, Mito-Sama. This is just Konoha showing the Land of Rain its place. Daimyo-Sama has asked us to stop Land of Rain, which is trying to increase its territory." Homura said after Koharu nudged him to speak, but Mito ignored his words, and she didn't say anything. She turned her head to the photo of Hashirama and Tobirama on the wall, and another sigh escaped her lips.
"I won't participate in this. Do whatever you want."
She said while getting up, and before anyone could say anything, the Shadow Clone dispersed.
Another sigh escaped the room, and in the end, Hiruzen looked at the photo just like Mito did, and he closed the map on the table.
"Send them at borders, Danzo. I will deal with rest later." Hiruzen said to Danzo, who nodded at him and left the room without saying anything.
"Koharu, deal with everything related to tools."
"Homura, deal supplies and food. I need some time alone,"
Hiruzen said while taking out his smoke to take a puff, but the door opened again with Tsunade entering the room.
"What is this?" She said while throwing the scroll on the table and taking the smoking pipe from his hand without any care.
Looking at her actions, Koharu wanted to say something but Hiruzen knew it would be pointless, so he waved his hand and took the scroll on the table.
"What happened?" He asked after looking at the scroll and it was the same scroll, he had asked Sakumo to give to her.
"I am not going there," Tsunade said with a frown apparent on her face. The mission she had been given was to deal with enemies at the border camp and help the injured ones there.
"Why?" Hiruzen asked, his expression changing to a frown since the border post she was assigned to be an important one and it needed someone on her level to finish the job there.
"I have something to do. You can send Orochimaru or Jiraiya with some medics and they will do what I will do there."
Hiruzen tilted his head with a confused face as he heard the words. He wondered what she wanted to do and when he remembered some information his ANBU had given, his expression changed and Hiruzen asked, "Is it related to that pink-haired boy?"
"Tsunade, this is a mission you have to perform. You can't reject such an important mission just because you don't want to."
Koharu also commented in between, and a strange silence appeared in the room when they said their words. Homura just covered his face since he knew something would start now and just like he thought, when Tsunade heard Koharu's words, she looked at her.
With a mocking look on her face, she replied, "In fact, I can."
"Koharu, you can leave and do what I asked you to," Hiruzen said before Koharu could speak anymore, and hearing him, Koharu looked at him. With a snort, she left the room, and Homura also left the room since he knew there was nothing he could do.
With only Tsunade and Hiruzen in the room, the room became silent and both stared at each other with a dead serious look in their eyes. Tsunade was serious about her holiday since she had been doing missions regularly for quite some time. Even though she got many breaks in her dreams, now that Akane was there with her, the situation was different.
Besides, she wanted to teach a few things to Akane before introducing him as her student besides the other two she had chosen and Tsunade knew that unless her grandmother spoke first, some problems were bound to happen as she was choosing someone unknown as her student.
As for her grandmother allowing Kushina to reveal Akane's identity as her fiance, Tsunade knew Kushina wouldn't mention it to anyone, but Mikoto and it would take some time before Akane's identity is known to everyone in the village.
Hiruzen looked at Tsunade who had a serious look in her eyes and he wondered how much time had passed since he saw this look in her eyes. A sigh escaped his lips when he noticed that it's been quite some time since he interacted with his students as their teacher, even though he had been the one who had been appointing missions to them, but as Hokage of the village.
Looking at her, Hiruzen understood Tsunade was dead serious about her words, but the mission was a necessary one since the border post she had to go to be an important border for the future.
"Tsunade, I would have listened to you at another time, but you have to complete this mission since it's an important one."
Tsunade looked at Hiruzen who had a sincere look on his face. She understood Hiruzen wasn't ordering her this time, but he wanted her to perform the mission.
An idea appeared in her mind and making a difficult look on her face, she sighed and said, "Ugh! Alright, I will do this mission but everything about the mission is on me. I will decide who I bring and make this a secret mission."
Hearing her, Hiruzen was overjoyed but when he heard the latter words, a frown appeared on his face.
"Tsunade, you aren't going to do what I am thinking, right?"
"Who knows?" Tsunade said, flashing a mischievous smile and she continued, "I will leave in four hours."
Saying her words, Tsunade left the room even though she knew Hiruzen had a lot of questions he wanted to ask her.
"At least tell me who he is!"
A chuckle escaped her lips as she heard his shout and ignoring him, she looked in the direction of her house with a grin on her face.
