Chapter 20 - Chapter 18 The Reiss Chapel 2

Alright, For those who Fell they have seen and understand all the information they are seeing in this Chapter ... I can only say sorry.

This isn't for the old readers who have followed me from before the rewrite so It is perfectly understandable you feel annoyed.

Luckily, all The Explanations end with this chapter as I have officially gone through everything I need to I tegrate from the rewrite. The Chapters after this will be dedicated to the continuation of the story plot.

Please Note that I am not deliberating writing extended chapters simply for word count. I wish more than anyone that I can make the chapters as short as possible so I am write more than One chapter Per day.

Either way, Enjoy.

...

A day ago, while he was still in Wall Maria, Seiji had come across a village in which Several soldiers had been slaughtered by Titans.

Ilse Langnar, who he had saved today originated from that squad as the sole survivor. In that village, he had buried his Nana, and at the same thing, taken something else.

A perfectly working set of Omni Directional Mobility Gear belonging to one of the soldiers while they were still alive. For no reason besides his Pure Curiosity.

Just like in Attack On Titan, the technology Tree of The Ninja World could be said to be developing in the wrong direction.

Refrigerators, television sets, walkie-talkies, Satellite Dish, video Cameras …. All these things existed. Nevertheless, Trains, Cars, airplanes, guns, and the likes didn't exist yet.

Paradis Island was even worse, with the only true Technological invention they had that was ahead of the rest of the world being the Maneuver Gear.

For Seiji who had memories of the Modern world, The craftsmanship was crude, yet the mechanism itself intrigued him. More than the wires and grapples, it was the propulsion system that caught his eye. Back then, Seiji made a mental note to study it later.

He did.

Hours before he had stumbled upon Ilse Langnar and saved her from the Talking Titan, he had taken the time to dismantle the ODM gear. The propulsion tanks contained a substance he couldn't quite identify—dense, pressurized, and unlike anything he had seen before.

If he remembered correctly, the soldiers in the anime called it gas. However, this wasn't any form of it Seiji was familiar with. He didn't think much of it at first, attributing it to a different form of gas native to this world. Out of curiosity, however, he had released a small amount into the air while channeling a fraction of his chakra.

The reaction had been instant.

His chakra flared unnaturally, the energy becoming erratic—denser, heavier. For a moment, it had felt almost alive, like the very nature of the gas was responding to something deep within his own power. Never before had Seiji felt something like that.

For a moment, he felt the Chakra in his Control morphing into something else. He had stopped before things escalated further, but that moment had stuck with him.

Natural gas couldn't do this. Inducing changes in his Chakra, what exactly was it made of? He had spent the rest of his time experimenting with it, mixing his Chakra and the Natural gas that powered the Maneuver Gear of the Paradis Island soldiers.

It had delayed his movements throughout that day. Hence, Seiji was surprised when he saw Ilse still alive the next. As for what this gas was, He found his answer after a while of memory searching and confirming from Gregor's memories.

Iceburst stones.

From his memory of the anime, Seiji remembered that these were mentioned in passing about being the source of the fuel for the vertical Maneuver gear.

A rare mysterious resource that could only be found on Paradis Island. Capable of making a struggling nation prosper immensely through it's trade.

This was as much as he could confirm. Why it could react strangely to his Chakra was still unknown.

Perhaps it was the specialty of The Gas in this world. Perhaps it was something else entirely.

Seiji was more likely to believe the latter. However, the effects after experimentation were actually surprisingly positive.

Temporarily, The Chakra in the area around his arm had thickened, slightly increasing his physical prowess. And this was just the gas. It wasn't much; however, The effects alone made a certain powerful type of Jutsu pop into his mind.

Sage Mode.

Now Seiji had another reason to manipulate Rod Reiss. To get his hands on the solidified version of this gas and see just what it was.

The last thing on his list differed from the other two. In the sense that it wasn't something for this world to give, but for him to take.

The Most suitable ability to use his right Eye Mangekyo ability on.

Junen No Sozoku, his Mangekyo that allowed him to copy one ability every Ten years was already his to begin with. The only other thing capable of increasing his strength in a short time.

Two days.

The Uchiha Massacre, his Grandma's death, escaping from Konoha, Awakening The Mangekyo, arriving in a Fictional world, almost getting eaten.

From then, to now. All of it happened within a span of Two days.

The moment he received The Interdimensional Gateway, Seiji knew he would be travelling to other Fictional worlds. He had already been reborn in Naruto. What else was impossible?

The Three months after awakening, his Memories in Konoha were spent worrying about which world he would end up in. And with his predicament at the time, even if he could choose, Seiji had no idea where he wanted to end up in.

As an Uchiha Chunin, his combat power in the vast fictional multiverse was frankly underwhelming. Low-level worlds would grant him nothing. Higher level realities could potentially get him killed.

Landing in realities Like Avatar The Last Airbender would be just plain unhelpful.

For him to actually survive and thrive, he needed a great deal of luck to arrive at the right place, at the right time.

Extremis Virus from Marvel

Blockbuster Formula from DC

Devil Fruit from One Piece

Breathing Style From Demon Slayer.

And The Native Hashirama cells from Naruto.

Only Items like these could be of help to him. Items that would bolster his strength rapidly to deal with the Uchiha crisis.

If he was transported to the wrong world or the wrong time period, then it would be useless.

The Interdimensional gateway was just a travel device, not a system. It held no additional functions to help him grow stronger. At least, that's what he had deduced so far.

Unfortunately, it was all for nought. The night of Genocide came, and he was powerless to stop it.

And with the inevitable demise of the Uchiha, his grandma's death and his forced escape to another world, his Mangekyo Pupil Techniques, reflecting his deepest heart desires, were born.

An ability that could give him the edge he lacked. Neither offensive nor defensive, but capable of elevating his strengths to greater heights.

The Mangekyo was the Eye of The soul. And true to its name, it gave him what he wanted.

Ever since his arrival in the World of Attack On Titan, Seiji had realized that unlike before, he was experiencing a whole new predicament.

Initially, even if he dropped into the right world, there was little that could increase his strength explosively in a short period. And even if there were, his Chunin strength didn't allow him to take advantage.

Now, he had awakened the Mangekyo with eye techniques simply designed for his situation, only to discover that what he now lacked wasn't a way to empower himself, but something to empower himself with.

The world of AoT had two things. Titans and Ackermans. The Titan Form itself was something Seiji found undesirable. In Comparison to the Uchiha clan's Susanoo, it paled in potential, versatility, usage ease, defense, destructive Power, visual appeal, and Even ultimate height.

He had seen the Uchiha clan records. Madara's shown Perfect Susanoo easily towered above a hundred and Fifty meters, taller than every single Titan shown in the series, barring Eren's doomsday Titan. Yet, it was only the size of several Fists of Hashirama Senju's True Several Thousand Hands.

Seiji may not have been there to see it in person, but he had watched the anime. It was seriously outrageous how The Wooden Buddha Statue Picked up the Susanoo clad Nine Tails like a child picking a doll.

Neither was something The Titans could match in either size or pure destructive power. And if he gained the Source of All Living Matter, then acquiring Titan forms with his right eye would just be extremely redundant.

In fact, acquiring anything in this world would be redundant.

The Female Titan's hardening ability

War hammer Titan's creation

Jaw Titan's Jaws and claws

Colossal Titan's size and Explosive Transformation

The Attack Titan's ability to Send Memories to the Past, The Founding Titan's power To influence said past and holds control of all Eldians.

All of these abilities were held by Ymir as the original founder. Gaining her would gain them all, hence using his eye for anything like this made no sense.

That was just problem one. Even if he couldn't acquire Ymir's true power, none of these abilities interested him enough to waste a precious Ten-year power on it.

For Seiji, the only thing remotely worth it was the Healing Factor all Titans possessed, capable of healing even decapitation as long as the Nape wasn't destroyed. As long as his nape was guarded, it would make him harder to kill than Hidan, Kakuzu, Hashirama Senju, and even Danzo.

Perhaps even the weakness of a Nape would be mitigated entirely. After all, he wasn't a Titan shifter. The most valuable use It would grant him was something he had speculated ever since he gained his Mangekyo.

A cure for his blindness, just like Hashirama cells.

That aside, Perhaps the Warhammer's Creation ability could be a nice choice as well. The attack Titan's powers could only send Memories to the Past inheritors, not the past self of the same inheritor.

Seiji had no previous inheritors, nor would he have any Future ones, unless said ability could be passed on to his Future offspring (a thought best saved for later) but the utility for him would be pointless.

Next in line were Ackerman's with above human Physical Prowess, human reflexes and Excellent combat instincts.

His mind drifted back to Levi Ackerman, the man who had stood against him in Trost.

Levi Ackerman.

The strongest human alive in this world. Not seeing him the first time, Seiji had honestly thought that their meeting would be under different circumstances.

After reading Gregor's memories and leaving the man potentially brain-dead, he had separated a shadow clone to do the rest and left Trost promptly. The information the shadow clone brought back was quite surprising.

The battle had been a massacre—one-sided and brutal. Seiji had expected as much. No matter how skilled Levi was, he was still bound by the limitations of this world. Compared to the Shinobi of his homeland, he was nothing more than an over-glorified foot soldier. Although not everyone was Sasuke and Rock Lee, an experienced Genin would likely dispatch Levi with a bit of effort when using all his abilities. Against a true shinobi, he had no chance.

And yet…

'He resisted my Genjutsu.'

This was the only thing he took From that fight. The only thing he bothered to care about.

Now wasn't the timeline In Shippuden were demigods fought among men and the whole point of the Fourth Shinobi War was the removed branch of the Otsutsuki Family Tree having severe infighting to determine the fate of the Ninja world.

Currently, the Ninja world was still at the level where Kage were the strongest Shinobi and Elite Jonin were the pillars of the village. It would take several more years before Shippuden when you needed to be at the Kage level to be the slightest bit important and elite Jonin would casually be killed with a swipe of the Susanoo.

Things like Genjutsu which were rarely seen again actually still mattered. For Kotomatsukami, Tsukyuomi and The Frog Song held by Jiraiya, Seiji had never stopped putting enough emphasis.

Even if it had only been a Three-Tomoe illusion instead of Mangekyō, it should have been impossible for a human of this world to withstand it. But Levi had, if only for a moment. Was it an anomaly? A trait unique to him? Did all Ackermans share this Trait? Or was there something else at play?

The ability to resist Genjutsu would prove invaluable to him. With it, Itachi's threat level would be reduced by more than half.

Seiji dug for the information he remembered on Ackermans. Physical Fitness above human capabilities, reaction speed beyond normal humans, and superior combat displayed in general. From what little he knew from the Manga, The Ackermans were capable of inheriting the Combat experience of all Past Ackerman's upon awakening Via Paths.

Could this be copied as well? If it could, how would it work on him? Seiji wasn't sure.

As for the part about Physical enhancement, it was automatically ignored by him. From the short altercation, Seiji had determined that Levi was Four to Ten times stronger than a regular human in terms of base strength.

For a Genin, or Chunin, such base strength was extremely remarkable. After all, Not everyone was Rock Lee, Neji or Sasuke who already had strength surpassing Chunin by the Chunin exams. That however, would change when the Chunin used Chakra enhancement.

Ninjas in the Shinobi world have basic Assassin Templates in video games. High attack speed, High attack, low defense. Their Physique was Far stronger than regular humans, but they could still be killed by Kunai.

Unless you were the Raikage, other Kage's were no exception if you weren't careful. (Those above Kage aren't included here)

They were only capable of moving at insane speeds, punching through walls with ease and destroying large structures due to the enhancement of Chakra and the proper control of it.

Not just for enhancing their muscles and body tissue but Chakra itself had great destructive power. Hence, although their base Physical Fitness wasn't outrageously stronger, they could dish out much greater power because of it. The Gap between Genin and Chunin wasn't as large as most would expect.

The difference simply lay in combat experience, mastered Jutsu, practiced Taijutsu, use of weaponry, amount of Chakra and control of Chakra.

Seiji may not be the most gifted of the Uchiha before awakening The Mangekyo. However, he was still a prodigy in his own right, always holding on to the top student for the Uchiha clan during his years before the Third Shinobi War forced him to graduate early.

In terms of base Physique, although not by much, he was stronger than Levi. The Ackerman's physical boost would have little effect on him.

'Is it worth using my right eye on him?'

Perhaps all these traits were things unique to the Ackermans. However, since their powers Technically came from the Founder, then was it also the same thing if he gained Ymir's powers?

Seiji didn't know the answer to this. A new thought came into his mind. Could he copy The powers of the Source of All Living Matter?

Could his eye take something as vast and absolute as the power of the Founder?

Seiji frowned. No. It wasn't realistic. Although he wasn't exactly sure how his abilities worked, Even a Mangekyo had limits. The power to create and generate massive biological constructs was beyond him. The Energy cost would be astronomical just to copy such an ability alone.

In that case, Seiji found himself in a dilemma. If not for the fact that he would return to the Ninja world before the cooldown period for a new world was over, Seiji might have chosen to keep his eye Technique for something better.

In fact, he was still considering it.

'It seems I can only take things one step at a time'.

The boy let out a breath, expelling his frustration as best he could. Ultimately, he couldn't decide. There was no definite answer to his problems before first attempting to obtain The Power Of The Original Founder.

It would be stupid to do anything before then.

If that was accomplished, then majority of his questions would be answered. Then, he would decide whether Levi's ability was exclusive to the Ackerman's and if it was worth copying with his Mangekyo Sharingan.

He had less than six months to pull it off. If it could be handled sooner, perhaps even enough time to see the aftermath of his actions.

The cart rumbled forward, the trees thinning around them as the dense woodland gave way to open fields.

The night was dark, but in the distance, illuminated by the faint glow of moonlight, Seiji saw it.

The Walls.

It had been several hours since his Journey, and Seiji hadn't chosen to go into Wall Sina directly from Ehrmich district which was the first district in a straight line after departing Trost.

Instead, he had gone along the lands of wall Maria, all the way headed North. Bypassed Ehrmich South and Stohess District East. Now, despite being such a far distance away, he could already see his goal. The protrusion sticking out of the wall just like Trost, Stohess and Ehrmich.

This was the North District of Wall Sina. In less than Four hours, Seiji had crossed a distance of almost Five hundred kilometers in less than Three and a half hours. If he hadn't decided to take a cart, he would have gotten there even faster.

But all's well that ends well as he was finally here.

North of Paris Island, Orvud District, lay just up ahead.

Seiji put aside his choice problems. The part concerning the most suitable ability would have to wait. For now, he just needed to find Rod Reiss. Manipulate him, and use him. The man was the last of the Reiss bloodline—at least, as far as Seiji knew. If he could control him, he could control the situation. First, he would have Rod find Eren within the Cadet Corps. Then, he would prepare him for the next phase—turning him into a Titan.

Then either by feeding him Bertholdt, Annie or Reiner, he would turn him into a Titan shifter and place him under Genjutsu.

Then, when he and Eren touched, Seiji would be there waiting to use his Sharingan to dive into the vast unknown that connected all Eldians.

From that moment onward, the Timeline of Attack On Titan would change, and the butterfly effects would begin to unravel.

Or so he thought.

However, in all this, Seiji failed to account for one thing.

The Attack On Titan universe followed a Deterministic Timeline. Deterministic in the sense that there was only one possible Future.

And that Future had already been set and couldn't be changed. Not due to universal forces or an unseen entity Manipulating things in the dark but simply because every single action, every single reaction, every single possible choice made had already been accounted for, and would ultimately lead to that Future.

Eren Jaeger saw his Future Self carry on the horrifying plan that was The Rumbling, and did nothing to change it. However, changing it wasn't a possibility in the first place, simply because Eren either did not want to, or he felt there was no better alternative that allowed him to fulfill his goals.

As the holder of the Founding Titan and Attack Titan, Eren's ultimate choice, no matter the reason, would have always been to choose To destroy the world. As such, that was the only possible future, which is why The Future could not be changed.

Because there was no other possibility in which Eren did not do the rumbling.....

Until he showed up.

Seiji expected the butterfly effects to take place after he actually made major changes. Unknown to him, however, his presence alone in a Deterministic timeline had already altered Not just the Future, but the past as well.

-------

This is the Last of The, "On The Road To The Reiss Chapel" Arc.

He arrives at The Reiss Chapel in the Next Chapter.

[I didn't want to keep clarifying this in the Main story dialogue so it won't drag out too much but here is a more extensive explanation For those who don't understand. Simply put, if Eren didn't want to destroy the world or didn't have to destroy the world, or he saw another alternative he genuinely believed was a better alternative, then he wouldn't have seen that Future that he saw, in which he did The Rumbling as there is only one possible Future in the Attack On Titan world which is The Only Possible Future. The future isn't fixed because of some kind of Ethereal Force manipulating the universe but because Every single possibility has already been accounted for, calculated and revised so that the Future that Eren Saw was the only Future that could have happened. Either because Eren couldn't find a better choice or perhaps simply because he didn't want to, or he didn't feel the other options were good enough or safe enough and no one else could possibly stop him from doing what he wanted to do as he was the only person with the Power to do it and stop it at the time. I am not explaining why Eren did what he did, I am simply explaining the Mechanics of the Attack On Titan Timeline and how the MC's appearance has messed it up. Because the Timeline automatically accounts for everything to show one True Future. However, Seiji was never part of the Timeline to begin with so as you understand, he is an anomaly. Hence, the Timeline will have to recalculate every possible alternative to bring about the One True Future starting From the point Seiji showed up. And as a result, due to Seiji's Existence, the Rumbling happening again was an automatic impossibility due to what he wants to obtain. But since the Rumbling could Never happen, it meant that Future Eren who went back in time to Influence his Father and influence The Titan that killed his Mother could never exist. Meaning, if he could never exist then none of those things could happen. So since Future Eren was never able to influence Dina Fritz in the past to ignore Bertholdt leading to his mother being eaten, then his mother would Never have died. Assuming they were capable of getting her out from under the building and take her to a safe place which is the plot I am going with. This is the Explanation for why Carla Jaeger is still alive. Do you understand? I hope you guys do, and please tell Me if you don't in the comments so I can explain properly. And Tell me if there are any discrepancies in this line of Logic that I used to explain the Butterfly effect, and Just plain tell me how the Rewrite of the Fic is going on so Far an if it is better than the original. I would really appreciate your thoughts. One More thing. Expect More Timeline Changes for reasonable reasons]
