Julian woke up the next morning startled by a nightmare apparently. He looked around the room he was in before realising all of what he saw were from his dreams. He heaved a sigh of relief before placing his legs on the floor, still on the edge of the bed. He closed his eyes rubbing his hand through his hair before noticing how large his arms had gotten. He stood up looking at the mirror observing his new impressive physique. "Fvcking hell" he said admiring his built body. Suddenly his door was flung open and Juliana was standing at the entrance of his room, they both stared at each other with disgust in their faces
"Ewwww" they chorused
Juliana all of a sudden had a more slender posture and was busty in all the right places with her skin more radiant than ever.
"Breakfast is ready, the bus will soon be here" she said turning to go back to the table
" wait! What bus!?" He asked
"Oh, I protested as much as I could, you're welcome to try as well"
"Mann" he said looking frustrated
Minutes later he was down to eat..
"School! Really!?" He said to his sister
She just kept sipping her cup of coffee , he kept standing till he realized that he wouldn't win the arguement. He sighed and sat to eat.
"Where's Herecules? " He asked grabbing the cuttleries
" Herecules is wherever he needs to be"
He dragged his meal closer when Juliana hit his wrist making him let go of the fill in his silverware.
"What was that for!?" He said annoyed
"Remember to thank the Lord for your meals" Their elder sister said
After some words of prayer they started eating
Julian became quite confused as he played with his food using the cutlery.
"Something wrong, Julian?" Katherine asked
"Ho...never mind!"
She dropped her cutlery, moving her meal to the side and wiped her mouth with a tissue. "I'm listening..." she said
He looked at her for a few seconds and then straightened up," We all know there's GOD right? How come there are also diverse gods from different cultures of the world?"
She remained silent for a while, "Humans are unique and exceptional beings, it has been said from the time of old that we are the reasons why these lesser gods exist"
Juliana laughed, "lesser gods" she repeated
"Dating back to ancient history, there were times when people of certain cultures believed that GOD doesn't exist and put their beliefs in vain things but those beliefs being so strong causes something phenomenal..."
"The rise of a god" Julian added
"So you understand now..."
"Enough talk, the bus is here" Juliana said as she got up
"Wait, I haven't even eaten yet "
"Your luck" she said grabbing him by the collar
They got in the bus and were on their way to the new school grounds...
Quite a number of students showed up after the disaster from yesterday. They both reached the entrance before splitting up. Julian just wandered around the halls as he had nothing to do when he accidentally bumped into someone. He looked to see who it was and saw a girl who seemed a bit older on the floor. He stretched out his arm to help her up, "I'm so sorry, I should've been watching. Are you okay?" He asked
She kept silent for a bit before grabbing his arm and got back up, "no, I was also at fault for not looking"
"Again, sorry" he said as he was about to walk away
"Never seen you before. New here?" She asked
"Nuhhh... I been around" he said
"Alright then, see you around" she said as she smiled at him walking away
He sensed something nostalgic about her as images started flashing through his memories, he dropped to the floor in agony. Students soon gathered around him including his sister.
"Julian!? What's wrong?" She said as she also held her head
"Are you okay, Jules?" Her friend asked
"Yeah...just..."
"Open up! Open up! Give them some space" a teacher said
"Alright everybody. Get to class!" The principal said
Soon the crowd started to disperse and they were taken to the school nurse's office.
"You two seem perfectly fine" the nurse said dropping her penlight.
"You can go to class now, but you'll both need to check in later in the afternoon just in case.
They both left the nurse's office.
"Hey. What happened?" Juliana asked grabbing Julian
He turned flinging her arm, "I'm fine!" He said with a flare in his eyes.
"Don't 'fine' me! "
He sighed, "now's not the time okay!" He said walking away
"What I felt back there was what you were feeling!" Her words made him stop in his tracks, he turned
"What?"
"I don't know how to explain it, all I know is I was feeling what you were at that moment"
He paused for a bit, "I saw something...someone."
"Someone? "
He gestured her towards the senior classroom pointing a certain person.
She looked just a few years older than them, she had black faux locks that seemed to compliment her eyes, she sat elegantly with a radiant smile. Immediately she spotted them as they both moved away from the door.
"We should go" Juliana suggested
"You don't have to tell me twice" he said as they both walked away.
They were now seated in class, Juliana with her girls and Julian at the corner of the room.
The class teacher seemed to be talking endlessly, Julian wasn't paying attention when he announced the arrival of some new students till they walked in.
The whole class stared, amazed by the aura that this three new transfers invited in. Julian felt this strong negative vibe...almost intoxicating, a murderous intent. Juliana looked towards Julian, meaning she also noticed this insane aura.
"Introduce yourselves..."
The girl moved forward, bending her head "I'm Hella. Spelt with a 'h'" she said bringing her head back up glaring at Julian.
"Heres" the second said
"Hargus" the last said
"I thought there were four of you" the teacher said confused
At that moment, everyone noticed someone standing by the door, the twins nearly flipped as they saw Luciel.
He just smiled at them.
Half the females in the class were flustered by his charming looks.
"My name's Luciel. You'll be seeing more of me as from now."
"Okay...Grab a seat guys..." the teacher said
"Is it okay if I sit with my brother? " Luciel asked
Julian coughed at the statement
"Brother? " the teacher asked
"It's been a while, Julian" he said before smiling at the girl sitting next to him, she just took her things abandoning her spot for him.
The whole class was now in total shock as they heard the news.
All eyes were on the twins, they started feeling uncomfortable. Julian stood up to leave, his sister soon followed.
"Julian! " she called out as she couldn't find him in the hallway
She suddenly got pulled to a corner.
"Shhhhh" Julian gestured raising his index finger to his mouth using his hand to cover her mouth.
They heard footsteps starting to approach, Luciel was now scanning the room for either of them before walking past them.
They both felt relieved.
Just then, Juliana was dragged from her brother's hold.
Luciel never really left, he intended to let them think so, he was now holding Juliana's wrist.
"Do you take me as stupid?" He had a devilish smile on his face
"No. I'd say dumb, but sure that works too"
He laughed, "the gods! You are stubborn. What would you say Brother? The easy way or the hard way?"
"Let's see...either way you'd still lose"
His smile was swept away by Julian's insolence and his hands flamed up.
"What? You forget we're also Hades' children. Am I suppose to scream in pain?" Juliana said mockingly
"No, child. See, there are things you two still don't know" he said looking at his wrist as Juliana started feeling the burn on her wrist.
Julian's expression was now overcome with worry and confusion.
She wanted to scream but couldn't risk attracting an audience.
"Let her go!" Julian yelled
"Else what? My flames are stronger than both of yours combined." Julian couldn't contain his anger as he took the offence. He just let go of his sister and grabbed him by the neck,increasing the firepower from his palms. Julian struggled to break free but Luciel's grip was too firm.
"Julian!"
"Let him go." A bow and arrow was seen pointing towards Luciel
"And who might you be?" Luciel asked mockingly
Julian kept struggling as hard as he could but it was to no avail.
"You've had your warning, Luciel"
He suddenly recognized the familiarity in her tone, as he turned to look behind to get her face he felt something pierce through him, the arrowhead glowed brightly as Luciel fell to the floor screaming.
"Come on" she said assisting Juliana getting Julian up.
Soon the bell rang for lunch time, by this time they had already made their way to the school's gardening field. It was not brimming with students unlike most parts of the school. Julian layed on the floor with his neck half-crisped.
"I..it hurts...to sp...speak." he struggled to say
Juliana just kept crying as she didn't know what to do.
"I know...don't say anything else."
"Move!" The strange female said
She brought out a small container pouring its contents on his wound. He seemed to be in pain even more.
"Stop! What did you do!?" She yelled
"I'm trying to help, okay?!"
"Does it look like you're helping him!?"
"See for yourself" she said as she turned away
Julian got up, his wound fully healed. Juliana couldn't believe her eyes as she immediately gave him a deep hug.
"You're okay! I thought I was gonna lose you!" She said sobbing
Julian was most of all confused as he kept touching his neck, "me too"
"What happened?" Herecules voice was heard
"Luciel did!" Julian said
"I'm confused.. Luciel!?"
He spotted the strange female "who's she!?"
She turned, "Hello, Herecules."
He just stared wide eyed lost of words.
"Patricia!?" He called out her name
"You two know each other!?" Juliana asked
She looked at both of them before wiping her tears.
"She's your mother." Herecules said
They both couldn't believe what they had just heard.
Now Luciel was back on his feet and was pissed. He bumped into a girl in his hot anger throwing her books to the floor.
"Hey you!" She yelled
He stopped before turning round
She kept staring at him, gesturing her hands at the books on the floor.
"I so much detest you inferior beings for your utmost disrespect!"
She slammed her locker, "Excuse you! You just call me inferior!?"
"Yes and..."
Before finishing his sentence he felt her hands on the side of his face.
His reaction remained indifferent like he didn't feel it.
He became more angrier coming closer till there was no space in between them.
"Now, how would you like to die?" He said calmly
She landed him another on the same cheek
At this point everyone around was already watching them.
He kept staring at her as he noticed her unshakable wit.
He smiled, "we'll finish this some other time." He finally walked away
"Dang girl!" A student said
After lunch time was over they returned to class like nothing conspired. It got to closing hours and still no reaction from Luciel.
They got home and met Hercules discussing with Katherine.
"Are you two okay?" Hercules just told me
They both sat on the couch quietly.
Katherine noticed something unusual with their silent treatment.
"What's going on?" She asked confused
"She showed up" Hercules said
"I don't understand. Who?' She turned to face Hercules
His silence this time told her everything.
"Flipping hell."
" I don't even know if it was a good thing or bad thing" Juliana said
"I know what you mean " Julian added
Katherine sat between them holding them tight, " I know your feelings must be mixed, but we have more pressing matters "
Hercules stood up, "it's concerning Luciel. It can never be safe having him around which is why we've gotta get rid of him. "
"How?" Julian asked
"Just leave that part to me. Go rest up for tomorrow. It'll be a long day. " he said as he faded to nothingness.
"Well...?"
They both looked at her
" You two gonna be okay with seeing her around?"
"We were just fine without her before." Juliana said
" Nothing's changed. Besides we've got a big day tomorrow." Julian said as they both got up walking straight to their rooms.
" Haven't you done enough?" She said in a low tune.
Just then she was seen, she had been inside the whole time.
" Katherine."
"Mother."
Morning came and the twins were all set for school
"Come on already!" Julian said holding the doorknob waiting for Juliana
"Just a minuite!" She replied showing off her bust in the mirror
"Ewww" Julian said looking disgusted
She turned away from the mirror to look at him, "you know what else is disgusting? What's under there!" She said pointing at his zippers, walking out the door.
"Ewwwwww" he repeated
They got on the bus and were on their way to school.
Minutes later they arrived....
"That's weird" Juliana said
"What is?" Her brother asked
"Notice how we didn't see Katherine at the house this morning?"
"Well, maybe she had something to do."
"And you think she'd forget to tell us something about it?"
Just then a Maybach car drove through the school's gates causing great astonishment amongst the students around.
It drove and stopped right where the twins stood in the parking lot.
The window on the driver's seat slowly opened and they were surprised at who they saw.
"Hello, Brother. Sister."
"A awful coincidence he showed up right after that conversation?" Julian said sarcastically
He just smirked before driving the car past them to park.
"Nope!" He said as they both walked away.
Class started and the twins were seated but this time close to each other, their minds restless about their sister, they just kept staring at them thinking endlessly. The first period was over, everyone started moving out of the class to their next section of studies.
Julian and Juliana tailed Luciel as well as his underlings till they got far away from the more vibrant parts of school till they lost sight of them and finally noticed they were actually being cornered.
"Where is she!?" Julian asked in anger
"Whatever are you talking about?" Luciel asked
"Where's our sister!?" Juliana voiced out
He laughed, "I haven't seen her. Have any of you?" He asked his minions
"Don't play with us!" Julian yelled as his hands caught fire
"Else what?"
"Else...!" The voice came from behind Luciel
They turned to see Herecules
"Back for a rematch, cousin?" Luciel asked
"More like I came fo finish what I started."
He laughed, "you mock me and give yourself too much credits don't you think?"
"Doesn't matter what we think." Aries said
"Surprise. Surprise " perseus said
Instantly the smile on Luciel's face faded
"What is this?"
"You forced our hands" Hercules said as his body was clothed in a bright light and as it dimmed he was in his godly apparel.
Luciel thrust fire towards them, shielded by Hercules the flames couldn't reach the others, instead Luciel got a powerful hit which sent him flying accross the woods.
"Three against two." Perseus said
"Oh please, I'd mop the floor wet with their blood." Aries said as he leaped to strike them.
He was shocked at what happened next, still in motion of laying his offence he witnessed as the former three became one giant monster. Their true form was the three headed hound.
"Awfully convenient!" Perseus said
Aries retreated, "shut up or I'll shut you myself!" He said
Herecules and Luciel kept exchanging blows
"Did you think because you got the better of me the last time you'd actually stand a chance this time?"
"Again. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks...where's Katherine!?"
"I really don't know what you're talking about."
"Your persistence is admirable."
Herecules took a deep breath before tightening his grip on his sword, the veins on his body glowed stretching out. The ground started to rumble sending projectiles flying all around.
Luciel marveled at the sight of this unknown power.
"Colossal strike!" He echoed as he moved to deliver his attack
Luciel couldn't follow the movements of this attack and it left him with a fatal wound, one that even the gods would find difficult to heal from.
Blood spewed from his mouth as he knelt to the ground at that same moment Kerberos had been slain by Aries and Perseus.
The twins walked to where they had battled seeing that the beast had been slain and Luciel dead.
"Is he..."
"Wait, immortal beings die?" Julian asked
"Watch out!" Hercules yelled as Luciel stood up glowing like he was about to explode. Hercules managed to shield them both from the blast. Luciel was nowhere to be seen, he had managed to escape.
