The energy of the link swept throughout the pack, a wave of warmth and power apparently touching every wolf. The symbol on my wrist burned slightly, and I felt the link grow, cement, as if the tie itself were reacting to the will of the pack.

That night the opposing pack attacked, their wolves emerging from the shadows with deliberate accuracy. This time, however, we were ready.
The link led us; its energy sharpened our motions and providing strong fuel. Every blow seemed purposeful; every stride coordinated as if the pack was moving one unit.
