Aria responded with shaky voice, "I'm not sure." But I cannot see the pack suffer because of me.
Luca said, his grey eyes softening, "This is not only about the pack". "This relates to us. Different than this. I am not going to lose Aria."
Once again blazing, Aria saw the connection pulsating gently, its power consistent but strained. She tightened her hands, her will sharpening creating long shadows on the walls.
"If we don't end this now," she said softly, "they will keep coming." Perhaps next time we will not be enough to stop them.
Luca tightened his posture and closed his mouth, "another way has to be there."
"What would happen if none exists? "Her voice broke as she asked.
Kels cleared his throat to break the silence gently. "You would better have a plan if we are doing this—and I'm not suggesting we should—because the competing Alpha's not just going to watch you decide the rules."
