Chapter 120 - A Final Goodbye

 Aria, you are not obliged to do this.

As Aria stood on the brink of the Moonlit Cliff, the winds tugging at her hair and the weight of fate crushing on her shoulders disrupted the quiet of the forest. Her eyes locked on the horizon as the first light of morning started to slink across the sky, she turned not to meet him.

"I do," she said, her voice steady but emotionally charged. "You know I do..."

He moved nearer, his fingers caressing her arm. "We have battled far too long and too much to have this be the solution. There has to be yet another path.

Aria turned to meet him, unshed tears glittering in her eyes. "I wish for there to be." But the power of the forest—that prophesy—is entirely related to this decision. Should I fail to achieve this, the pack will not survive the approaching storm.

Luca tightened his hands, clearly frustrated. "We will work out something together. You don't have to sacrifice yourself."
