Chapter 55 - 55 Bani’s Bakery Journey

When the transformation was complete, Bani's family had very different reactions:

Her mother stared in awe before muttering a prayer. "This is… unbelievable. It looks so real!"

Her father, ever the skeptic, tapped a counter. "Are you sure this is safe?"

Her brother walked around, checking every appliance. "This is amazing! You could actually run a full-scale bakery from home!"

Bani smiled. Everything was falling into place.

The Inspection Day

On the fifth day, the FSSAI inspection officers arrived. Bani and her mother greeted them warmly and invited them inside. The two officers—a middle-aged man with sharp eyes and a younger assistant—stepped into the bakery space.

Their expressions shifted from curiosity to impressed approval.

"Very professional setup," the senior officer noted, running a hand over the equipment. "You seem well-prepared."

Bani guided them through her process—how she handled ingredients, ensured cleanliness, and maintained quality. To further prove her expertise, she prepared a fresh batch of butter cookies and pastries for tasting.

The moment they took a bite, their expressions softened. The assistant, a woman in her late twenties, took another bite and mumbled, "This is… heavenly!"

The senior officer coughed, trying to maintain professionalism. "Yes. Well… everything seems to be in place." He checked his notes. "You should receive your license soon."

Bani let out a relieved breath.

As they wrapped up the visit, the officer gave her valuable suggestions:

"You should place a signboard outside so passersby know about your bakery."

"Consider launching an online promotion strategy—people love homemade baked goods."

"A website where you update your daily baked products would be helpful."

"If you plan to expand, look into delivery partnerships."

Bani took mental notes. These were brilliant ideas.

Before they left, she handed them a neatly packed box of cookies and pastries. The assistant hesitated. "We can't accept gifts…

Bani grinned. "Think of it as a token of appreciation, not a gift."

The senior officer glanced at the pastries and chuckled. "Well, we can't say no to such delicacies."

Fifteen Days of Hard Work

It had taken more than fifteen days to reach this stage. During this period, Bani had kept her flower business running as usual, ensuring she had a steady income while waiting for the inspection.

Now, as she watched the officers leave, she felt a deep sense of fulfillment. She was no longer just a woman rebuilding her life—she was a businesswoman, a baker

Bani stood near the bustling university campus, a tray of freshly baked treats in her hands.

The aroma of warm bread and delicate pastries wafted through the air, mingling with the chatter of students rushing to their classes. She had spent the past few nights perfecting her recipes—soft, buttery croissants, fluffy muffins, and delicate fruit-filled tarts—all crafted from the finest ingredients she could source.

"Would you like to try a complimentary sample?" she asked with a warm smile, offering a slice of her signature cake to a passing student.

At first, a few hesitant glances were thrown her way, but as soon as one student took a bite and let out an audible Mmm…, others started gathering. One by one, students stopped to sample her treats, their curiosity piqued by the enticing aroma and the genuine enthusiasm in Bani's voice. Soon, word spread like wildfire.

"This is really good!" a girl exclaimed, licking the crumbs off her fingers.

"Do you sell these somewhere?" another student asked eagerly.
