The Cannibal reared its colossal head back, its throat swelling with the raw power of dragonfire, its emerald eyes narrowing as it prepared to duce Aeron to cinders.
And then, it unleashed destruction.
A torrential blast of black and green fire rushed forward, a storm of annihilation, hot enough to melt steel, incinerate stone, and erase life itself.
Areon stood there, His violet eyes gleamed, his right hand rising slowly.
Ruler's Authority.
The moment the firestorm neared him, the air itself shifted. A force unseen but undeniable took hold.
The dragon's breath, unstoppable and absolute, split apart before it could touch him.
Like a divine decree, the inferno was torn into two, separating as if it refused to defy his will.
The flames curled to his left and right, an infernal path blazing around him as he strode forward, untouched, unharmed.
His steps were slow, deliberate.
His silhouette cut through the fire like a specter of death.
The Cannibal's eyes widened ever so slightly.
Aeron's lips curled into a dark smirk.
"Let's see if you're just as tough from the inside."
Silverfang materialized in his grip.
With a flick of his wrist, the dagger vanished, not into the shadows, not into thin air but into the dragon's maw.
The blade pierced through the Cannibal's tongue, slicing flesh as it continued deeper.
A moment of silence.
Then
BOOM!
The dagger exploded inside its mouth, carving a path of destruction as it burrowed deeper, cutting through muscle and nerves, piercing towards the back of its throat.
The Cannibal shrieked, the sound splitting the cavern like an earthquake.
A monstrous bellow of agony that sent shocks of pain through even the air itself.
Its massive wings flapped wildly, sending gales of dust and debris flying.
But Aeron did not stop moving.
The Cannibal's throat convulsed, its jaws snapping open and shut, trying to dislodge the foreign pain inside its own body.
The poison from Silverfang began to take effect, the cursed poison seeping into its bloodstream.
But it was slow.
Too slow.
Aeron clicked his tongue.
"Tch. That was supposed to be more effective."
The Cannibal's pupils shrank.
Its agony became rage.
And then, it roared once more, louder, more furious.
This fight was far from over and Aeron knew it.
The Cannibal's furious roar shook the very mountain.
Jagged stalactites broke from the cavern's ceiling, crashing into the abyss below. The air itself rippled with the sheer force of its rage.
And then it lunged.
Aeron braced himself, but the beast was fast.
Too fast for its damn size.
Before he could react, massive jaws snapped shut around his left shoulder, fangs as large as greatswords piercing through flesh and armor alike.
CRUNCH.
Pain exploded through his body.
Aeron gritted his teeth, violet eyes flaring as hot blood ran down his arm.
The Cannibal lifted him, shaking its head violently like a wolf trying to break a kill.
The world blurred in a storm of black scales and emerald firelight.
But Aeron did not scream.
He snarled.
"You bite… I'll... bite back!"
His fingers clenched around the hilt of Direfang.
And then he stabbed.
DEEP.
The blade punched through the inside of the Cannibal's mouth, slicing through veins and cartilage, carving its way through the beast's own skull.
The Cannibal's eyes widened in shock.
It released him instantly.
Aeron dropped like a meteor, crashing into the rock below, dust and debris exploding around him.
But he was already moving.
Blood dripped from his shoulder. His armor was ruined.
Didn't matter.
Aeron pushed off the ground, fists clenched.
The Cannibal roared again, wings spreading wide as it prepared to breathe another inferno.
Aeron didn't give it the chance.
He leapt.
Fist cocked back.
BOOM.
His punch slammed into the dragon's jaw.
The impact rocked the entire cavern.
A shockwave of pure force erupted, sending cracks spreading through the stone beneath them.
The Cannibal staggered, its massive head whipping to the side.
"Yeah… didn't like that, did you?" Aeron smirked.
The dragon snapped back at him, its teeth lunging toward his head.
Aeron ducked.
And then he countered.
His right fist slammed into the dragon's throat.
Scales that once seemed unbreakable?
Shattered.
The Cannibal recoiled, its wings flaring open as it beat the air, lifting itself from the ground.
Aeron launched himself after it hanging on to it.
The dragon twisted and rolled, trying to shake him off, but Aeron held on.
He climbed up its body, fingers digging into wounds he had already made.
The Cannibal flipped violently, trying to send him plummeting.
Aeron clenched his teeth.
"Not happening."
His free hand shot forward. Ruler's Authority.
The air bent to his will.
The Cannibal jerked mid-flight, its wings locking for a moment as Aeron ripped control away from it.
Then he drove his fist into its eye.
BOOM.
The dragon howled.
blood splattered through the air.
The Cannibal lost control.
They fell. The wind screamed around them.
Aeron held on, his sword still buried in its skull.
Impact.
The dragon slammed into the ground, stone shattering beneath its massive form.
Aeron rolled away, breathing hard.
The Cannibal groaned, shaking its head, still alive, still strong.
Aeron spat blood, wiped his mouth, and stood up.
His violet eyes burned like twin stars.
"Round two, you overgrown lizard."
The air was thick with ash and fire.
The mountain itself shook as the Cannibal spread its titanic wings once more, one remaining eye burning with rage.
Aeron stood in the dragon's shadow,
His left arm hung useless, torn by the beast's massive fangs. His armor was ruined, his cloak reduced to cinders.
And yet his violet eyes burned like amethysts, defiant, unyielding.
The Cannibal reared back, its massive chest expanding, black veins glowing with molten heat.
Aeron knew what was coming.
Dragonfire, once again.
This was the black fire of the Cannibal a cursed inferno that burned without end, that had devoured its own kind for centuries.
It had turned great dragons to ash.
The Cannibal roared a sound so loud it made the very air tremble.
And then, before it could unleash the flames , Aeron shut the dragon's mouth with Rulers authority , the dragon blasting himself from the inside.
The Cannibal screeched, a horrific, ear-shattering sound of agony.
Its massive body lurched, shaking the ground, claws tearing through ancient stone.
But Aeron wasn't done.
The dragon was not dying fast enough.
The Cannibal whipped its head around, its tail lashing like a battering ram.
BOOM!
Aeron barely dodged, flipping backward as the tail shattered the stone where he once stood.
The dragon charged, claws swiping with terrifying speed, each strike strong enough to pulverize castle walls.
Aeron weaved between them, too fast to catch, his body moving like shadows and smoke.
Then he leapt.
Straight onto the dragon's head.
His daggers flashed, slashing across the Cannibal's reamaining eye.
[mutilation]
blood splattered.
The dragon howled.
Aeron drove his fist down a devastating, punch that cracked scales.
But before he could strike again
The Cannibal's head snapped backward.
Aeron had nowhere to dodge.
Jaws closed around him.
CRUNCH.
Fangs sank into his shoulder and ribs again, puncturing flesh, grinding against bone.
Pain exploded through his body.
The beast bit down harder.
Blood gushed from Aeron's wounds. His vision blurred, his limbs screamed in protest.
But his mind Still sharp. Still burning. Still fighting.
"fucking bastad!"
Aeron crashed onto the ground, coughing blood, his body screaming in protest.
But he forced himself up.
His eyes burned.
The Cannibal's fury had no end.
It took to the sky, its wings blotting out the cavern's light, sending hurricane-force winds through the chamber.
Aeron's hair whipped wildly as he looked up.
"So, we're doing this in the air one last time now ?"
The Cannibal dove.
Aeron leapt on his back.
The Cannibal shrieked and rolled, trying to throw him off.
Aeron held on.
Then he punched.
A devastating blow, backed by monarch's strength.
His fist tore through scales, sinking into muscle.
The Cannibal staggered mid-flight.
Aeron struck again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
Each punch split scales.
Each blow sent shockwaves through the dragon's body.
The beast snapped at him, its fangs lunging toward his head.
Aeron dodged, grabbed one of the dragon's massive horns
And ripped it off.
SNAP!
The Cannibal screamed in pain.
Aeron didn't waste time.
With Ruler's Authority He slammed the jagged, broken horn into the dragon's neck.
It pierced deep.
blood rained from the sky.
The Cannibal lost control.
They plummeted at super speed.
Aeron rode the beast down, gripping its torn flesh, his body surrounded by swirling embers, smoke and blood.
The ground rushed toward them.
The Cannibal roared, wings struggling to stop the fall.
Too late.
IMPACT.
The dragon crashed into the cavern floor, sending out a massive explosion of fire, dust, and shattered stone.
Silence.
Then Aeron rose from the rubble.
His body bloodied beyond recognition, his breath ragged but his eyes still burned.
The Cannibal lay before him, struggling to rise, its body broken, its breath shallow.
And yet it's now hollow bloodied eye sockets still burned with hate.
Aeron stepped forward.
Direfang materialized in his hand.
"You were a legend... once."
He raised the blade.
"Time to rest."
With a single, final stroke, he plunged the sword into the Cannibal's skull with every remaining strength.
The dragon's body shuddered.
Then it stilled.
The last of the ancient Dragons had fallen.
Aeron exhaled.
Then
