Chapter 14 - chapter 14

Chapter 14:

– Blake –

I woke up early the next morning, still feeling pretty damn good about the night Tsunade and I had shared together. There wasn't even any direct contact and yet I don't think I'd ever cum that hard in my life…

I couldn't keep the grin off my face as I stepped out into the busy streets of the Leaf Village. The place was bustling, packed tight with merchants calling out deals, and foreign ninja strolling around, sizing each other up ahead of the upcoming Chunin Exams.

Since it was my first real chance to explore, I slowed my pace and took everything in. Colorful market stalls lined the roads, selling weapons, and foods I'd never even seen before. There was a buzz of excitement everywhere.

After a while, my stomach started grumbling, reminding me that I hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Not knowing where to start, I stopped a passing ninja—a young man with spiky brown hair and a bored expression.

"Hey, can you recommend a good place for breakfast around here?" I asked him.

He glanced at me briefly, then pointed down a road to the left. "Head over to the Akimichi Shopping District. Best food in the village, hands down. Just follow the street signs—you can't miss it."

"Thanks," I replied, and he gave a lazy wave before walking away.

Curious, I headed in the direction he'd pointed. It didn't take me long to reach the Akimichi district, and once I did, I instantly understood why he recommended it. The entire street was lined with restaurants, cafes, and food stalls.

Then something else caught my attention—there were a lot of "overweight people" here. Not just a few, almost every other person I saw was carrying a lot of extra pounds.

Until now, I hadn't noticed anyone overweight at all in the entire Leaf Village…

I couldn't help but chuckle quietly to myself. At least it was clear the food here was good.

I decided to trust my nose and headed to the busiest-looking restaurant I saw, a charming little eatery with red banners and wooden tables packed with diners.

It was a bit disappointing to eat alone—Tsunade and Shizune had left early for the hospital, and Konan was waiting anxiously at the compound, expecting her old teacher to arrive anytime. So, I was flying solo this morning.

As I stepped inside, a slightly chubby hostess with a sweet smile spotted me and immediately blushed as I approached. "Good morning!" she said while smoothing down her apron. Her eyes briefly flicked over me with open appreciation. "Table for one…?"

"Yeah, just me today," I answered politely.

Her cheeks turned a brighter pink. "Of course, handsome. Right this way! You can sit wherever you'd like!"

I gave her a friendly smile and followed her into the dining area. I chose a quiet corner near a window, where I could watch the street outside. She handed me a menu, lingering just a moment longer than necessary.

"If you need anything at all, just ask for Hana," she said, almost shyly. "I'll take care of you myself."

"Thanks, Hana," I replied warmly, earning another flustered smile from her before she hurried off.

…I took a big bite of my breakfast, savoring the crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and freshly baked bread.

The food here was amazing. I was midway through my meal, completely enjoying myself, when the hostess came back over to my table, looking slightly apologetic. "Hey, sorry to bother you again," she said, giving me another shy smile. "But we're completely packed this morning. Would you mind sharing your table?"

I glanced around and saw that every other seat in the restaurant was already filled. This place really was popular.

"No worries," I said, gesturing to the empty chairs across from me. "I don't mind at all."

She looked relieved and hurried back to the entrance, returning a moment later with a group of four ninjas. Two of them immediately caught my eye—both wearing vibrant green outfits that practically screamed for attention. The older one had a huge, enthusiastic grin on his face, while the younger boy next to him seemed like his energetic clone. Behind them was a serious-looking guy with long black hair and pale eyes, and a girl with brown hair who carried a bunch of scrolls at her waist.

"Good morning!" the older guy announced cheerfully, flashing me a bright smile as he took a seat across from me. "Thank you so much for letting us share your table! I am Might Guy, and these talented young ninjas are my genin team—Rock Lee, Tenten, and Neji Hyuga."

"It's nice to meet you all," I replied with a friendly nod. "I'm Blake Himejima."

The moment I said my name, Guy's eyes widened dramatically in recognition.

"Oh!" he exclaimed loudly enough for half the restaurant to hear. "You're the young man who's shacking up with Lady Tsunade and her apprentice, right!?"

I choked slightly on my food at how bluntly he'd put that, quickly grabbing a sip of water to clear my throat.

Shacking up was definitely one way to describe it—though after what happened last night with Tsunade, the word felt a little tame.

Finally, I grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, that's me."

Suddenly, Rock Lee leaned forward, staring at me with absolute admiration in his wide eyes. "You are my hero!" he proclaimed. "Neji and I deeply respect your incredible skill with women!"

Neji's eyes immediately narrowed. He crossed his arms and gave Lee an irritated glare. "Do not drag me into this, Lee. I could get a girlfriend easily if I wanted to, but I simply have more important things to focus on—like training."

I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. That was almost as bad as "I totally have a girlfriend, you guys just don't know her cuz she goes to another school…"

"Right…" Lee said, clearly unconvinced as well.

Before Neji could retort, Tenten slammed both her hands down on the table. Her eyes flashed with indignation!

"Hold on just a minute!" she said loudly, turning her attention to me. "How could you possibly think it's okay to two-time someone as incredible as Lady Tsunade?"

I blinked, holding up my hands defensively. "Two-time her? It's not like that at all. The whole thing was actually her idea!" I defended myself.

Tenten stared at me blankly for a moment, then slumped back in her chair, completely deflated. "No way… Lady Tsunade's secretly a pervert?" Another one of Tsunade's fans crushed…

"Well, I wouldn't say secretly…" I muttered quietly, trying not to smile too obviously.

Guy quickly cut in. "Tenten, you shouldn't spread rumors like that. Lady Tsunade is one of our village's most legendary kunoichi. Her personal life isn't something for us to casually discuss."

Tenten sighed, resting her chin in her hand. "I know, sensei. It's just hard to imagine."

I chuckled lightly, deciding to change the topic slightly. "So, are you guys competing in the Chunin Exams?"

Lee instantly perked back up, eyes sparkling with enthusiasm again. "Yes! We've been training day and night to prepare. I swear on my life that I'll make Guy-sensei proud!"

Guy gave him a thumbs-up and flashed a smile so bright it nearly blinded me. "I know you will, Lee! Youthful spirit always prevails!"

"So, Blake," Tenten said, her curiosity returning as she leaned forward again, "are you a ninja too? I don't see your headband."

"No, actually," I admitted. "I'm just a regular guy traveling with Tsunade and Shizune."

Lee clapped his hands excitedly, practically bouncing in his seat. "You must be incredibly strong!!"

I chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'm okay, I guess. But I plan to get a lot stronger one day."

Strong enough so that no one can ever hurt my family again, I silently promised myself.

Guy flashed me a huge grin and slapped a hand on the table. "You're being too humble, Blake! Word has already spread among the jonin. Everyone is impressed that you defeated Aoi Rokushou—the traitor jonin who stole the Second Hokage's legendary sword."

"Really?" Neji asked.

I glanced up, noticing Neji staring at me intently. Before, he had given me a look that clearly said he didn't think much of me. Now he seemed a lot more interested, his eyes studying me carefully.

"Yeah, I beat him…" I said casually, trying not to sound too arrogant. "Honestly, he wasn't as tough as the rumors probably made him out to be. His lightning sword was pretty cool, though. Sucks it broke during the fight. The Hokage said he's just going to put the hilt behind some glass as a display now."

Tenten groaned dramatically, slumping forward over the table. "Aw, really? The legendary Thunder God Blade broke!? I really wanted to see it in action!" She turned eagerly to Guy. "Sensei, do you think the Hokage would let my family take a look at it? Maybe we could even fix it!"

Guy smiled warmly at her. "I can certainly ask him, Tenten." He then turned to me and explained, "Her family is among the best blacksmiths in the village. They make most of the weapons our shinobi use."

Tenten grinned proudly, puffing out her chest a bit. "Yep! And the best part is I get all the leftovers they can't sell. I've got quite the collection now."

"That's pretty cool. I'll definitely check out your shop sometime," I told her.

Guy laughed heartily, drawing a few curious looks from the other customers. "Speaking of checking things out, Blake, what exactly are you planning to do now that you're officially part of the Hidden Leaf Village?"

I shrugged. "Honestly, I'm still figuring that out. Right now, I mainly just want to focus on training. I need to get a better handle on my bloodline."

Neji perked up even more. "Bloodline?"

I lifted one hand, allowing a small burst of lightning to crackle between my fingertips. "Yeah, lightning manipulation. I can summon it on demand and have no need for hand signs at all."

Of course I left out my other abilities like my wings or summoning Lightspears. Tsunade wanted me to keep all that hidden for now unless my life was in danger. The Hokage hadn't bothered mentioning any of it either, but no doubt he knew at least some of my abilities since Kakashi and Team 7 arrived back at the village first. Tsunade thought the Hokage would probably try to do his best to get on my good side so that I would want to stay. Not that I planned to go anywhere as long and my girlfriends were here. At least until I figured out whatever ability allowed me to transport myself to this world, and even then I'd hopefully be able to go back and forth at will…

Neji leaned closer, clearly fascinated now. "Interesting. Lightning is one of the tougher elements for us Hyuuga clan members to face. I'd like to train against you. You said you were free later?"

"You sure about that? I mean, I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to accidentally zap you before the exams start or something," I told him.

Neji just smirked confidently. "I'll be fine. It would actually help me work on my…weaknesses..." he said that last word with a frown. Clearly, this kid was a prideful one…

Lee practically bounced out of his chair with excitement. "Neji is incredibly tough, Blake-san! And please, fire lightning at me as well! I want to practice my speed and dodging!" he added.

I stared at Lee for a moment, wondering if he was serious. "You want me to shoot lightning at you too?"

Lee nodded vigorously. "Absolutely! How else will I become fast enough to dodge anything thrown at me!? Youth has no limits!"

I turned slowly toward Guy. "Your students are a little crazy, you know that?"

Guy laughed again, louder this time. "Of course they are! They're my students, after all! But don't worry, I'll be there to supervise so no one gets seriously hurt." He turned toward Tenten. "What about you? Care to join in our electrifying training session?"

"Hell no!" Tenten replied immediately, looking at us like we had lost our minds. "You guys can get yourselves electrocuted. I'll be practicing with my new katana instead, thanks."

At that point, their food arrived and I got back to eating as well.

A bit later, I stood in the middle of a large clearing surrounded by dense trees, taking a moment to appreciate the open space. This was one of the Hidden Leaf Village's designated training fields, usually reserved for ninja use only. Of course, being Tsunade's boyfriend had perks, and Guy had already assured me no one would dare question my presence here.

I chuckled to myself. Good ol' nepotism.

Across from me stood Lee and Neji, both wearing determined expressions. Lee was bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet, looking eager and energetic, while Neji remained cool and composed, arms folded calmly over his chest.

"You guys absolutely sure you wanna do this?" I asked them again, holding up my hands as tiny arcs of lightning crackled across my fingertips. "My lightning is no joke. I'd hate to send either of you to the hospital right before the exams."

Lee pumped his fists excitedly, his eyes shining with determination. "Absolutely, Blake-san! How else will I prove my youthfulness if I don't face tough challenges? Fire away!"

Neji sighed lightly but nodded in agreement. "As much as I hate to admit it, Lee's right. Training against lightning is exactly what I need. Do not hold back. I can handle it!" He sounded very determined.

I hesitated for another moment, glancing towards the edge of the clearing where Guy stood watching us, arms crossed and a confident smile plastered across his face.

"Are you really okay with this, Guy-sensei?" I called out to him, still feeling a little nervous. Talking about it was one thing, but shooting lightning at 13-year-old kids was another.

Guy gave me a thumbs-up. "Absolutely, Blake! My students need real challenges to grow. And don't worry—if anything goes wrong, I'll step in immediately. You have my word!"

That was about as much reassurance as I was going to get, so I took a deep breath, focusing my corrupted divine energy into my hands.

"Alright, guys," I warned one last time. "You asked for it!"

Neji activated his Byakugan instantly, large veins popping out around his eyes. It was pretty freaky to look at.

Lee dropped into a low stance…

I thrust my palms forward, releasing a controlled stream of lightning at both of them!

"Rotation!" Neji shouted as he started spinning like a top. Blue chakra poured from his body, forming a spinning barrier around him. My lightning slammed against it.

I could hear Neji let out some grunts of discomfort but he didn't stop spinning.

I eased up on him and turned quickly and fired at Lee next.

"You'll have to do better than that, Blake-san!" Lee shouted enthusiastically as he moved around incredibly fast. "Faster! Don't hold back! Let your youth explode!"

I couldn't help but feel a smile tugging at my lips. These guys were genuinely crazy, but I had to admit, their dedication was infectious.

I took a deep breath, channeling more energy into my hands. The new and yet familiar surge of holy lightning flowed through me, humming beneath my skin.

It felt eager, ready—almost like it enjoyed finally being unleashed!

"Alright, heads up!" I warned Neji and Lee, aiming my palms directly at them. They both tensed, anticipation clear on their faces.

A powerful surge of golden lightning erupted from my hands, stronger and brighter than anything I'd summoned before. The force of it startled even me for a second. I knew I'd grown stronger after gaining another set of wings, but this was on a completely different level!

I was straight up pulling a Darth Sidious right here!

"Oh shi—!" Lee gasped, eyes widening as he scrambled to evade. He moved faster than I'd ever seen, but not fast enough. The bolt grazed him, and he stumbled forward, grunting sharply in pain before crashing to the ground.

"Lee!" Neji shouted in alarm, quickly shifting into his defensive stance. "Rotation!"

Neji spun rapidly, his chakra pouring outward into a tight barrier. My lightning slammed against it, the air crackling violently. For a moment, it seemed Neji's defense might hold, but then I noticed sparks slipping through, breaking past his spinning chakra shield.

Neji let out a pained grunt as the remaining electricity jolted him. His rotation faltered, and he dropped down to one knee, breathing heavily.

I immediately lowered my hands, realizing I'd gone a little too far. My chest was heaving as I caught my breath. This was easily the most power I'd ever used in training, even compared to sparring with Tsunade.

"Oh shit—are you two alright?" I asked, quickly jogging over to check on them.

Lee rolled onto his back, staring up at the sky. "T-that…was amazing, Blake-san! I didn't even see it coming. Your lightning is truly fearsome!"

Neji pushed himself back onto his feet, still slightly unsteady. He winced, rubbing his shoulder where the lightning had grazed him. "That was far stronger than I anticipated. I underestimated you..." he told me and sighed.

I grimaced apologetically. "Sorry, guys. I really didn't mean to go that hard."

Lee chuckled weakly, sitting up slowly. "This is how we improve! Next time, I promise I'll dodge it!"

Neji shook his head slowly. "As reckless as Lee sounds, he's right. This experience was valuable."

Guy walked toward us. "You both did well for your first encounter against lightning release. But remember—there's a reason lightning is considered the most lethal element. Even a slight hit can lock up the muscles in a ninja's body," he explained to them. He looked directly at me and nodded respectfully. "Blake, your bloodline is very impressive."

"Thanks. Honestly, it still feels a bit overwhelming to me sometimes. I'm still getting used to controlling it," I replied as I took my hands off my knees. I really needed to work more on my magical stamina.

– Shuri –

Unbeknownst to Blake, Shuri Himejima stood silently atop a thick branch in the canopy above the training grounds, hidden beneath her Anbu mask as "Raven." Her sharp eyes remained fixed on Blake, a faint, proud smile hidden behind her porcelain disguise.

Watching him summon his golden lightning made her chest tighten with nostalgia. He was so much like her beloved husband, Baraqiel. Every time Blake used his holy lightning bloodline, it stirred memories of happier, simpler days when their family had still been whole.

Yet, despite the warmth in her chest, something troubled her deeply. Blake's skills were nowhere near what she'd expected from a young nephilim his age. According to everything Baraqiel had told her, nephilim should naturally gain strength at an incredible pace. Her husband had always anticipated their children surpassing him by the time they reached adulthood, yet Blake's progress seemed oddly slow, almost restrained. Shuri wondered what hardships he must have endured to stunt his development like this. The thought made her heart ache fiercely.

She desperately wanted answers—how he ended up in this world, why he changed his name, and most importantly, what had happened to him since that terrible day when their family had been torn apart. But approaching him openly terrified her. The fear of rejection or, worse, Blake not recognizing her, paralyzed Shuri whenever she imagined revealing herself to him.

For now, she was grateful that the Hokage—oblivious to her true origins or that Blake was actually her son—had assigned her to discreetly watch over him. Accepting the mission had been effortless. She would protect her son from afar, carefully observing him until she found the right moment to reveal herself.

Shuri's attention shifted to Might Guy's students as Blake finished up his training. The trio were impressively skilled. Rock Lee's physical speed and strength stood out immediately, and Neji Hyuuga's gentle fist technique was precise and deadly, even when up against Blake's lightning attacks. Tenten's control over weapons also showed great potential, even if the girl chose not to participate directly in the lightning practice.

She exhaled softly, comparing this team's capabilities to Naruto's. Her adopted little brother's team was clearly lagging behind. Naruto himself was full of potential, but his discipline and technique needed a serious overhaul.

He would not survive long in these exams if she didn't intervene.

Her thoughts drifted briefly to Naruto's earnest, smiling face. Shuri shook her head gently, a soft laugh escaping her lips beneath the mask. "Ufufu… That little fool is going to get himself hurt again if I don't step in," she murmured quietly to herself.

Naruto wasn't technically her blood, but he'd become family over the years. Shuri knew what it felt like to lose those closest to her, and she was determined never to experience that pain again. Protecting Blake and Naruto had become her priority, and she'd do ANYTHING to ensure their safety.

"Just wait a little longer, Akira…" she whispered quietly, her voice barely audible. "We'll be together again soon."
