his power to increase his anger and greed. That is the reason many people fell in his trap and sold their souls. Under his words the man slowly slowly forget his rational side and said,'' I do want the revenge. I do want to kill them all, make them suffer. To make them feel the helplessness that I felt but what can I possibly do.
I am alone and they are the entire village. I do not have the power to fight everyone. There number are too big.''
In the end the fat man just sat on the ground. He let out a sigh of helplessness. Mephisto is waiting for the moment like this. He gently touched his shoulder and said in a father like voice, '' I understand. I can truly understand your helplessness and I can help you if you sign a contract with me. I can give you power beyond your wildest dreams. You will be powerful, powerful enough to get your vengeance. So what do you say? ''
Although his mind is clouded by the power of mephisto, he has not lost his ability to think. He knew that if he make this deal then he has to fulfill the contract. And It can be anything so he firmly said,'' I don't know what contract you are talking about? But I am not going to sign any contract without reading it.''
Although mephisto is powerful but he can't force anyone to sign the contract. It is one of the clause in which he can enter the earth. He can only subtly manipulate the emotions of the people but he can't hurt or otherwise force them.
So he smiled slightly and said in the same voice,'' Of course. What kind of a deal can be signed without reading all the clause.''
Then he summoned a rolled paper and handed it to the man. Although the man did ask to read the contract but he is clearly neither as smart nor as cunning as the lord of hell. This rolled paper is a contract and as long as anyone tried to open it there fingers will be pricked and blood will come out. The moment blood is on the paper, the contract will be sealed.
Mephisto is waiting for the moment he opened the paper but it did not came. Because the moment he passed on the contract the man stopped moving. Not only the man but the entire area is like stopped moving. It is like the very time has stopped.
Even after seeing this awe inspiring scene mephisto was not afraid. He smiled but that smile was not warm but it was full of malice and cunningness. He said, '' Sorccerrer supreme, as far as I remember I have not broken any laws of our deal so why did you come to meet a low life like me?''
Suddenly a portal opened behind him and Ancient One came out of it. She came to stand side by side with him and said,''Yes you really have not broken any clause of the contract. ''
He said,''Then why are you stopping me? Is there any reason for you to be here?'' Even if his work was stopped in the middle he did not dared to be rude. Because he knew the person in front of him can very well go to his dimension and destroy his real body thus totally erasing him from existence.
Ancient one said, '' Since I am the person who made that deal with you then It is my responsibility to tell you that the underworld has been occupied by a person.
Since he is a single person then the entire underworld and all the souls in his realms belong to him. And now you are trying to steal one of his soul and that can be taken as the declaration of war against him and his rule to underworld. ''
Mephisto was really surprised by this news. It has been sometime since he had paid any attention to the earth. And even though he is the lord of hell he is not omniscient. So he really did not know that someone can really take that dimension and domain.
He said, '' So what I will just beat that guy when he will come to fight me.'' Even if does not know who he is but he trusts his power very much. There are only few beings in this universe that can harm him. And in the entire Nine realms there are only a handful of them.
She smiled and said,'' Ah! That will be slightly difficult then you think. The person who conquered the underworld is the same one who defeated the Dormamu.''
He asked,'' Are you talking about...''
He did not even finished his sentence when Ancient one said,''Yes. I am talking about the youngest son of Odin and Frigga. The lord of Vanaheim. The God of Life Perseus OdinFriggason.''
Now there was some real tension on his face. Asgard is not something he can make an enemy of. Especially Odin and Frigga. These are the Gods that are feared even in other pantheons. If he ever hurt there son then his faith is sealed. Even death will be a mercy to him at that time.
They always say that the youngest son is the favourite of there parents. And Frigga is known to be a very protective mother. Hurting her children means annihilation. And a son like Perseus who can defeat the Dormamu at such a young age. He may not only be there favorite but also there pride. And harming the pride of Odin why not just cut your head and send it to him.
He carefully said this time,'' Thank you for the information. I will think how to proceed from here. But I don't understand why do you tell me this. If you have not I might have made an enemy out of Odin. And it would have helped very much if I am just gone.''
She said,'' It would have, but things are not as simple as they see. Odin might have killed you for hurting his son but can you hurt his son. Are you capable of doing this?''
Mephisto frowned and said,'' As fas as I know he is just a brat barely 20. Are you saying that I am so weak that I can't defeat a child.''
She smiled and said,'' I am not saying that. But when it's come to Perseus it is difficult to predict. He is as unpredictable as his domains. ''
Then after saying this she left the same way she came and everything returned to normal.
