Chapter 8 - The Verdict of a New World (Beginning)

She was surprisingly serious right before she began to speak.

"You were considered a threat to our world... But yes, after what I have seen in you... I can confirm that you are not—"

"Who was what?! A threat? You threatened me to death and call me a threat?!" His body was still trembling from the fear of what awaited him, yet his eyes held a serious look.

"Arghhh... Do you want me to start from the very beginning? You don't seem to understand otherwise."

"—" He remained silent.

"You are here in Hadevara, with me, from the sun-side of Vaelgrith—" As she tried to explain quickly, Javohir suddenly interrupted her.

"Hey, hey, heyyy! You're the one who needs to calm down. Or is there some kind of time limit here? Start from the very beginning, as clearly as possible." He was much calmer now, having finally learned where he was. It was as if he had been waiting for this answer for a long time.

"Oh, if that's what you wish... But let's skip the part about our world for now. I can show you around, and you'll see it for yourself," she continued, pausing briefly.

"You were unconscious for over a day after we arrived here. The first thing you should know is that you were considered a threat because, for a long time, you seemed to have the power to oppose us. You were under suspicion for a couple of years. There were many things that made us believe it, but you always acted as if you could sense us. That's why the Supreme Ones decided to get rid of you... But after what I saw... I'm going to prove your innocence in this matter—"

"After what you saw in me? What exactly are you talking about?" Javohir's expression changed dramatically, his eyes now burning with anger.

"Your memories," she replied, lowering her head.

"My what?" He suddenly burst into laughter.

Lumin hesitated. She had intended to explain why he was held captive, but at that moment, she changed her mind. Explaining her abilities might make things clearer to him first.

"It will take time to explain but I can explain why you got here later, and yes, I saw your memories." Her voice softened as she repeated herself.

"Everything? I mean, how?" His expression shifted—not with confusion, but with concern. He seemed more worried about what she saw rather than how she saw it.

"I will try to explain as briefly and clearly as possible," she continued. "About your memory... Our kind can fuse our bodies to some extent. I did the same—with you. By merging with your muscles, I gained access to the sensations your very cells remembered. It wasn't about seeing visions of your past, but rather feeling what you felt, experiencing how you acted. After all, even your own body doesn't retain everything exactly as it happened—only fragments, impressions, instincts."

She paused for a moment before continuing, her tone measured.

"Our bodies are composed of two different types of cells. The first is the same as what you humans have—organs, anatomy, all of it nearly identical. But the second... That's what sets us apart. These specialized cells are under our control, allowing us to heal faster, harden our bodies, or even shape objects from ourselves. Of course, it comes at a cost—energy, stamina, endurance. But in short, I used my super cells to fuse with your head just enough to access your nervous system. I didn't become one with you, only connected to the extent that I could perceive your sensations, your emotions... something like that."

She exhaled lightly and straightened. "That's all. Now, let's head outside. We can continue this conversation there."

Javohir remained motionless, his mind racing to process everything she had said. And then, despite himself, a laugh escaped his lips.

"Am I seriously... isekai'd or something?" he muttered, half-joking, half-dazed. He let out another chuckle, shaking his head. "No way... It's just... there were too many explanations. It all felt too real."

The words had slipped out before he could stop them.
