The elven world is quite similar to the human world in that they are human looking, have normal human physical characteristics like skin, eyes, hair, etc
Their world is also structured like the human world ( even though it is tightly regulated and the rules are strictly enforced)
Abilities are somewhat like magical powers, all elves are born with an innate potential to develop abilities.
This is due to dna encoded in their cells.
There are several types of abilities, so I can't list them all.
Abilities are divided into rare, common and trivial.
Rare ones are… well, rare. They are not commonly expressed and so elves that get them are celebrated and treated with respect. An example is inflicting, or empathy.
Common ones make up most of the abilities, having one doesn't automatically qualify you for respect but if you can become a master at it, you will rise in ranks.
Trivial abilities are the lowest on rungs. People with these are usually treated with little to no respect, they get basic jobs that are unimportant and are generally ignored.
Then we have elves that do not have any ability at all.
It is rare for an elf to have no ability but when it happens, the elven society treats them as outcasts, they do very very menial jobs and are scorned.

I could try to define what each ability entails but it would be stressful, clumsy and since even I am not sure how many will be used in this book, it is better if I just explain each one as it is mentioned.

Now the elves get stronger by cultivating energy and mastering magic.
There are 7 stages of cultivation in the elven world:
1. Seedling: The beginning stage, where elves awaken their magical abilities, such as basic telekinesis or elemental manipulation, but with limited control.
2. Sapling: Early training and practice to refine control over their abilities.
3. Branching: Elves gain better control and can use their abilities in more complex ways
4. Blossoming: At this stage, elves can perform advanced magical feats, with high precision and strength.
5. Rooting: Mastery over their abilities. Elves can perform highly intricate and powerful feats, controlling larger environments or manipulating complex magical forces
6. Blooming: Elves can now use their powers at their peak. They can effortlessly manipulate their abilities with great precision, manifesting nearly supernatural feats
7. Withering: The final stage of cultivation, where their mastery transcends normal boundaries.
No elf has ever reached withering stage before. This is due to a law that was signed into place, preventing any elf from attempting to reach the stage.
This was put as a measure to prevent any elf from becoming too powerful and causing problems to the elven world.
Only a few elves have reached blooming cultivation.

Elves are not immortal but their lifespan stretches very very long and so far, no elf has died of old age yet.
