"Heh, well thank you. Can I go?" Itai asked, to which the receptionist nodded.
Itai walked through the Adventurers' Guild—nearly everyone was looking at him. They assumed this young man would have a bright future. Even though he was currently weak, if someone were to provoke him and he became powerful in the future, it wouldn't end well for that person.
Many of them wanted him in their group even though he was weak, because it was an investment into the future. But of course, there were also those who cursed him for having such luck, since talent was considered to be purely about luck.
As Itai approached the exit door, a tall man in black armor stopped him. "Hey redhead, you look older," he said.
"My name's Ing, and I'm stage 4. Want to join our group?" he asked.
"Sorry, but no," Itai said and walked away.
Itai then returned home to Flain's basement. When he got there, he saw Flain sitting against the wall.
