Itai slowly got up from the bed, his body aching terribly, and he pushed off to avoid falling. He was in a luxurious room that seemed to be meant just for him. Next to him stood Zheren, who had already noticed that Itai was awake.
Itai remembered that some maniacal brother of Flor had slammed him into a wall for no reason. Suddenly, Flor entered the room.
"You're up. Sorry about that," said Flor.
Itai then remembered that he hadn't felt any mana energy coming from Hikaru. In fact, not even from Nanari. That was pretty strange—maybe if he had felt his magic energy, he would have been more cautious, but the result probably wouldn't have changed anyway.
"I didn't feel any magic energy from your brothers, which struck me as kind of weird," said Itai.
