(Author's POV)
The pitter patter of the rain continued as silence befalls the pair inside the car. Nora being completely oblivious to the conversation between her brother and best friend was in her own dream world. She snuggled her head, adjusting it comfortably on Myra's shoulder, mumbled some unintelligent words and seemed pleasant after saying that.
Myra heard her sudden rambling and giggled lightly, 'She can't even rest quietly.' She then patted Nora's head gently, soothingly like a loving sisters they are to each other.
Myra kept looking out of the window, watching the scenery passing slowly from the moving car. Then unexpectedly, she approached Alaric with a curious question of hers, "Mr. Everests, can I ask you something, only if it does not offend you?"
Alaric was a bit lost and didn't say anything, Myra, taking it as he consented, continued, "Why do you hate me so much? I don't remember doing anything in particular to make you hate me?"
