Chapter 30 - Conditioning (18+)

〘Date: 2/12 - Tuesday〙

〘Time: 7:00 PM〙

〘Location: Texas, Royal Creek - Hunt Residency〙

The evening finally fell, the Spade District finally falling into peace for the night, the peace somewhat reaching over to the Hunt Household. Inside, we all sat around the dining table, enjoying a nice meal that Amelia cooked for us.

Mashed potatoes...Green beans...Fried...chicken... Yeah, Amelia is a Southern Girl at heart and it showed. Her food had soul put into it, food so good it makes you remember that despite her young 30s appearance, she's still a grandma.

"WHAAAAAAAAAT?! You're telling me that my Pretty Boy beat The Hearts and Leona by himself?! Bwahahaha!" Amelia laughed drunkenly, clapping her hands with a mix of pride and amusement.

"Geez, Paradox, how many glasses are you down? We're sitting right here," Momo grunted softly, rubbing her ear and giving Amelia a hellflame side eye.

"I'm not that drunk, besides... Beating Leona ain't no easy task, coming from a woman that could solo The Black Lions with one arm tied behind her back with a blindfold and chained to a raging bull," Amelia chuckled, sitting back in her seat with her arms crossed.

"But it's true tho! Ryder was all like 'Kneel'," Allie vouched, making her voice deep to impersonate myself.

Jade lowered her head, biting her lip to stop herself from cracking a smile at Allie's joke. She shook her head slowly, trying her hardest to not appease Allie by reacting to her joke. 'Why is it so hard trying not to laugh..?'

Wendy chuckled softly at Allie's impersonation, crossing her arms with a cute grin on her face. "That was a nice impersonation, but it was a little more like 'Kneel before your new Master!'" Wendy impersonated, making her voice deeper and puffing out her ample chest.

"Hell nah, I did not—" I began, lowering my head and stopping myself from laughing. "You know what, Wen, screw you."

"She ain't lying though, she kneeled like a good girl," Momo laughed softly, nudging my shoulder gently.

As we all shared a laugh around the table, the TV in the background began to play Royal News 4, Amelia shushing everyone at the table and grabbing the remote. She began to turn up the TV, invested in the newest breaks.

Momo glanced at me, nudging me gently while pointing at Amelia with her thumb. "This old head..."

"This old head still has Prime Hearing, something you're still working towards," Amelia clapped back, sipping on her wine as she watched the news.

"Oop—" Allie reacted, covering her mouth and closed her eyes.

"Not Granny clocking her tea...she really asked, 'Do you need that,'" Jade snickered in the background, eating up the messiness from Amelia and Momo.

"Whatever, old lady. Keep watching your little ABC News ripoff," Momo shrugged off, knowing she had no comeback to Amelia.

Amelia moved her eyebrow with a smug grin, taking another sip of her wine as she watched the news carefully. "Exactly. You don't want this..~"

"In other news, we have report from the Royal Hall that Mayor Fredrick has a message for the general public, let's move on to hear what he has to say," The news anchor reported, interlocking her fingers and looking into the camera as the screen transitioned.

Fredrick stood at his podium with a charming smile on his face, the flashing cameras flickering to capture his best sides. He waved at the cameras with a smile, nodding at the people. "It's nice to be standing up here once again with a message. Now, this message...is generally to the Failed House of Cards known as The Spades."

"Among your washed over ranks, you have a Revolutionist...a Rising King who demands to be acknowledged everywhere he walks. I respect a King. I respect a man who walks around like a King. And I respect a man... who can fearlessly march into a kingdom, and demand the throne," Fredrick continued, looking around at the cameras before stopping at the main one.

"However, with all due respect...I am not my brother, Tony Rich. I don't hide when there's a challenge, when there's...a...Joker in the deck of cards. Ryder Dawn...The Visionary, this message is for you. If you truly believe in your words, show me. Face me tomorrow evening at the Royal Creek Arena, and I'll show you...how a real King moves," Fredrick challenged, winking at the camera before walking off.

Amelia smirked after Fredrick's challenge, chuckling lightly and turned down the TV a bit. "Well, well...The Pretty Boy has caught the attention of an Emperor. Congrats, you're a city wide name."

Momo grunted softly in slight distress, understanding how deep Fredrick's game truly goes. Without speaking, she stood up and grabbed my arm, dragging me out of the kitchen. "Come with me."

"Whoa, where—" I began, grabbing my phone off the table and hopping behind Momo.

Wendy whistled softly, letting out an awkward chuckle. "Well, he's gonna get an earful.."

"Indeed he is..." Amelia agreed, changing the channel with a light grin.

I stumbled down the halls with Momo, grunting as she practically shoved me into her room. Momo closed and locked the door behind us quickly, turning around and marching toward me. Grabbing my shirt, she pulled me toward her bed and made me lay down.

Once I was lying down, I let out a soft grunt as she began to straddle me, pinning me down onto her bed and tossing the covers over us in a confidential manner. "Geez, Diana...are you going to tell me what's up? You seem distraught.."

"You don't understand the severity of Fredrick's threat... He isn't like Tony, someone who has to literally cling onto his family's name for power. Fredrick is dangerous... ruthless and he will destroy you," Momo warned, gripping my shirt with a worrying grasp, her entire spirit trembling within her vessel.

I stared at Momo for a moment, scanning her up and down, using my Heart Scanner to see how deep Fredrick's wounds still were. The faint energy around her body rippled in a light red hue, crackling around her like an unsettled esper.

〔Momo's Mood: Troubled〕

〔Bond with Momo: 80%〕

〔Affection Meter: 30%〕

〔Vitals: Slightly Healthy〕

I let out a deep exhale though my nose, placing my hands on her thighs with soothing comfort. I began to slowly rub her thighs, looking up to meet her twinkling eyes. "What do you want me to do then..? He called me out publicly, I have to respond.."

"No, no you don't...you aren't ready for what Fredrick has to offer! You just aren't... I've been fighting that bastard since I was 17... freshly out of Spade High. You don't know the things he did to us...he still has Leona for Gaia's sake," Momo protests, forcing me against her mattress with the weight of her body.

I stared at Momo, my voice getting caught in my throat as I could feel the weight of her crumbled world falling upon me. I've never met the Momo that had to always fight during her upbringing, the starting flames and the wild blaze that once scorched Royal Creek through Amelia's legacy.

Only the smoke of the remaining embers is what I've seen from Momo, remnants of her Great Flame that hides in patches within her soul. However, through these old traces, I could see the entire story...I could understand why Fredrick was so dangerous.

"You can't go...no matter what, don't go to Royal Creek Arena tomorrow," Momo plead, leaning down and gently pressing her forehead against mine.

"Okay, I won't go, Momo..." I surrendered, closing my eyes as she began closing the gap between us.

"No," She whined softly, gripping my shirt even tighter than before. "You have to promise...promise me you won't go.."

Instinctively, my arms wrapped around Momo's waist in a tight, yet tender embrace, holding her close to me. I began to carefully shift our position, laying her down gently on her back and towering over her.

We locked eyes for a moment, getting lost in the private warmth around us, a blissful yet heavy tension growing between us. I began to lean down toward her slowly, pressing my forehead against hers, our breaths intermingling and hitting against each other's faces.

"I promise..." I whispered against her lips, my face inches away from hers.

Momo began to wrap her arms around my neck subconsciously, hooking one of her legs around my waist leisurely, keeping me in place. "Please..." She softly whimpered, her fingers tangling in my hair possessively.

Drawn into my need to appease Momo, I captured her lips for a tender, oathkeeping kiss. Immediately, Momo kissed back desperately, deepening the kiss within seconds, her affection both a medicine and poison to me.

As we continued to kiss, Momo began tugging at my shirt, raising it up in attempt to take it off. I pulled away from the kiss, sitting up straight and began pulling off my shirt, tossing it on the floor. Following in step, Momo began undressing hastily as well, her breathing becoming more heavy with anticipation.

Once we were both bare in the eyes of one another, I gently spread her legs, revealing the sight of her trembling womanhood. Her body shook with a mix of excitement and anticipation, a small pool of her own nectar forming beneath her.

I leaned down, nuzzling against her head and planted a soft, dominant kiss onto her ear. I parted my lips, keeping my tone at a low, husky whisper. "Hard to Heavy..?"

"No..." Momo whimpered softly, her nails gently digging into my forearms. "Heavy...to Hard. I need it...so badly. For tonight..."

I nodded slowly, my entire body becoming washed over with a sense of euphoria and desire. It felt as if my body was secreting pheromones, my mere presence making it impossible for Momo to lie still.

She began moving her hips along my hardened manhood, shivering at the slightest bit of pressure of the crown of my shaft against her sacred entrance. After a bit of desperate stimulation, I began guiding myself inside her.

"Ry...! Mmph!!~" Momo gasped loudly, biting her lip hard to keep herself from moaning too loudly.

Driving my knuckles into her sheets to keep myself stable, I began thrusting into her, my hips crashing into hers heavily as I delivered dominating blows to her depths. Momo immediately threw her head back against her pillows, her mouth opening with a silent scream.

I began planting hungry kisses along her hot neck, letting out soft grunts with each movement. Momo's body began writhing beneath me, her hips moving to meet every one of my passionate pounds.

"Haa..!~ Ahh..!~ Shit...you're gonna break me, yes..! Yes..!~" Momo whimpered in between her gasps and moans, clawing down my arms in attempt to keep herself grounded in reality.

I chuckled softly to her euphoric comment, enjoying the pain and pleasure my body received from her fiery marks. The room felt as if it were on fire, burning with the flames teetering between love and lovestruck.

We began sharing a messy, sloppy kiss as I continued driving my body against hers, her loud moans muffled by my hot lips. As the heat began to build, so did our climax, our bodies yearning for a synchronized release.

Bucking her hips, Momo managed to flip the position, rolling me onto my back and straddling on top of me again, bouncing up and down along my throbbing member. The sounds of our lovemaking, the squeaks of her bed, and our whispered promises filled the room, intensifying the emotions surging inside up.

"I'm...so close..." Momo moaned, panting heavily as her stomach began coiling the closer she began reaching her peak.

"Me... me too..." I whispered back in between each light grunt of pleasure, my grip of her headboard tightening.

Momo leaned down to kiss my lips once again, moving her hips back and forth, riding me until completion. I could feel my member pulsing inside her, letting out a satisfied growl as I began releasing my warm love nectar inside her.

Momo's body began to tremble heavily as she finally reached her climax, a smile of pure satisfaction forming on her lips as she felt me fill her up. Pleasure began washing all over her veins, a faint glow emitting from her back and taking shape into a Love Sigil.

〔Lust/Love EXP +1500〕

〔Momo's Affection for you has increased to 45%〕

〔Bond with Momo greatly increased!〕

Momo sighed heavily, laying on top of me to try to recover her strength. Her heart beat against her chest at a rapid pace, a state of pure satisfaction taking over her. "Ugh...you don't understand how much I needed that..."

"Honestly...me too. I don't even regret what just happened," I agreed, rubbing Momo's back up and down at a slow, soothing pace.

Momo hummed softly in response, her body feeling lighter than before, her spirit sparking a flame she couldn't immediately describe. "Mmm... hopefully we weren't too loud. I would hate to be the talk of breakfast..."

I laughed softly at her mock exasperation, my hand resting gently on her head. "It would be pretty awkward explaining it to Granny Hunt..."

Momo nodded slowly, enjoying being in my protective presence. The room, once filled with noises of passion, now fell into a warm silence. As we continued to relax, Momo began drifting into a peaceful rest, her eyes finally fluttering shut.

With her now asleep, I awakened my Tengoku Mode weakling, using the calming silvery energy to wrap us in a guardian like embrace. Slowly, I closed my eyes as well, falling into a peaceful slumber.

〘Date: 2/13 - Wednesday〙

〘Time: 8:00 AM〙

〘Location: Texas, Royal Creek - Hunt Residency〙

The sun began rising above the horizon, the golden rays gradually peering through the windows of the house. Suddenly, the sound of a blaring cadet filled the house, offering a rude awakening for everyone resting.

Momo groaned softly with annoyance, grabbing a pillow and covering her ears in attempt to silence the noise. "Ugh...everyday with this bullshit.."

I sighed heavily, covering my face with my arm. As much as I didn't want to wake up, I knew the sound wouldn't stop until Amelia got an answer. Reaching backwards, I began banging on the wall with my fist, the annoying trumpet finally going silent.

"Finally..." Momo groaned, tossing her pillow onto the floor and rolling over on the bed to sit up. She yawned softly, scratching the back of her head and searching around for her clothes. "Mmm...where did you throw my bra and panties..?"

I shrugged my shoulders lightly, sitting up on the bed as well and glanced over at Momo. "I don't know, you're the one who threw them. You'll probably find it if you'd actually stand up."

Momo's left eye twitched from my sass, a sign of her not being an early bird. She reached over toward me, pinching my cheek with aggressive affection. "Mmm...you're so lucky I actually love you. So lucky...any other guy would've gotten their head chewed off."

I curled my lips slightly and closed my eyes, trying my hardest to not crack a smile. "My bad...Too early, got it."

Momo smirked at my immediate surrender, patting my cheek and pushed herself off the bed. I rolled my eyes at her, turning on the edge of the bed to get up at well. We began finding our important clothing while getting ready with fresh new clothes.

As we got ready, Momo allowed me to wear some of Matt's old clothes that he no longer wears. Opening his old wardrobe, I noticed it was filled with street wear, a style that Matt personally loves and brought me into. I decided to take an old Spade University letterman, a white hoodie, and a pair of Spade Brand sweats.

Momo watched as I got dressed, putting her hat on her head with a smile. Once I was fully dressed, she hummed with approval, walking toward me and fixing my jacket. "Looking sharp..~ Matt taught you well.."

"Relax, I've always known how to dress for the occasion," I chuckled softly, nudging her head slightly and stepped backwards with a hint of swagger.

"Mhm, Pretty Boy gets a new style and starts feeling himself. Typical," Momo teased, following behind me to her door.

The two of us shared a laugh, leaving the room and making our way down the hall together. We made our way to the kitchen, seeing everyone fixing their plates for a balanced breakfast and settling at the table.

"Rise and shine, Lovebirds! Come get yourselves some breakfast, we got a lot planned for the day," Amelia hummed, watching as we walked into the kitchen.

Momo glanced at me, pointing her thumb at Amelia and shaking her head. "This woman..."

"Yeah, taunt all you want, Missy but that ain't gonna stop me from running these drills! Wendy already agreed to take Allie and Jade for the day to my range, something about training them under her wing," Amelia retorted, sticking her leg out and tripping Momo.

I bit my lip quickly, stopping myself from bursting into laughter as Momo hit the ground. Momo grunted softly as she began recovering onto her feet, shooting a fiery glare at her grandmother.

〔Phroa: Now, she KNOWS she's wrong for that.〕

"Oh, you bitch... I'm so going to destroy you in these drills now," Momo promised, turning her gaze away from her, a bit of smoke leaving her flared nostrils.

Amelia chuckled softly at Momo, an intrigued hum sounding in her throat as she noticed the smoke. She glanced at me with an amused grin, watching as I began attempting to calm Momo down while keeping myself calm.

'She's a bit more emotionally volatile today...with that smoke. Pretty Boy has something to do with this, and I'm gonna crack it..~' Amelia thought to herself, letting out a soft, mischievous chuckle as she headed to the table.

Once we all got settled into our seats, we began to enjoy the breakfast that Amelia cooked for us, a balanced mix of fruits, eggs, bacon, and waffles to fill us up for the morning. The first to finish their meals were Wendy, Allie, and Jade, the three of them cleaning up and heading out to start their day early.

Amelia set down her glass of juice, letting out a low hum. "Y'know, since they are gone...You should invite Karin over so she can train with us. Have her run some drills with us."

"Maybe...if possible, also bring Leona here. I know you haven't blocked each other, and maybe she'll show up if you say I wanted to see her," Amelia proposed, leaning back in her seat and looking over at Momo.

Momo stared at her empty plate, swirling the orange juice in her glass in slow rotations. "Not happening...Leona made it clear with her intentions, and I refuse to bring her here while we are already strained."

"It wouldn't hurt to try. After all, she tells me part of her still believes in that dream you all once shared," Amelia said, her tone carrying a hint of nostalgia.

Momo exhaled softly, standing up from the table and looked at Amelia with a forced smile. "Yeah, well...that dream is now dead. Now, we focus on getting us ready for war. I'll see you two in the backyard..."

My gaze followed Momo's retreating figure, turning my gaze toward Amelia and gently cleared my throat. Amelia let out a soft exhale, finishing her orange juice and smiled warmly.

"Well, it was worth a shot. Wanna help me clean up around here, Ryder?" Amelia asked, standing up from her seat.

I nodded, beginning to collect the remaining dishes from the table. "Yeah, I suppose I could help out a bit."

Amelia rolled her eyes at me with a smile, following me to the sink and placing the dishes inside. Together, we began making quick work of the kitchen, making sure each area of the room was spotless. While we cleaned up, I couldn't help but to listen to Amelia's melodic humming, her tunes a calming force.

As we continued making finishing touches on the kitchen, the doorbell began to ring, catching our attentions. I offered to answer the door, placing the broom against the counter and making my way to the front door.

Opening the door, I was met with Karin standing in front of me, her aloof gaze meeting mine. I scanned her up and down, checking out her outfit, my eyes shimmering with subtle admiration.

She wore a black sleeveless turtleneck, baggy pants with two belts crossing one another, and black and purple tech shoes. Around her waist, she wore her The Swords jacket, the jacket looking worse for wear from the years of use.

Karin noticed me checking her out, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks. "Uh...hi. Ryder Dawn, right?"

"The one and only," I replied, meeting her gaze with my signature smile, resting my shoulder against the door frame with my arms crossed. "You must be Karin North...The Queen of Spades."

"Reformed...The University is still under construction with no signs of being finished any time soon," Karin said, her tone carrying a sorrowful tone.

After her response, a holographic screen shimmered to life in front of me, displaying three options. I knew this feeling from the first time I asked Paris out, the feeling of not knowing how to continue forward.

〔Option 1: Respond about your Revolution - Ambition/Empathy EXP +500〕

〔Option 2: Reply about Rekindling with Momo - Empathy/Passion EXP +500〕

〔Option 3: Try to cheer her up - Charisma/Empathy EXP +500〕

Looking over those three options, I knew each one would bring up a different outcome, one might even bringing her mood down. I glanced at Karin again, noticing her expression had softened.

"I know the story about the University and the Spade District...It sounded like a rough period from what all I know now. However," I paused, glancing at the holographic interface in front of me once again, zoning in my answer.

"However...even after all that, there's a chance to now try again. Differently... starting with bringing you and Momo back together, and finally letting bygones be bygones," I said warmly, reaching out and gently patting her arm.

Karin stared at me for a moment, a bit of her light forming in her eyes once again. A spark...of what was once there now igniting once again in her heart. Her lips curled into a soft smile, letting out a soft exhale. "I suppose..."

I smiled back at her, stepping aside to allow her inside. "C'mon, Momo's outside in the backyard."

Karin nodded, stepping inside with light steps. I closed the door behind us then began leading Karin toward the back. Amelia noticed us from the kitchen, setting down her phone and smiled at us, pushing herself off the counter and following us out back.

〔Empathy/Passion EXP +500〕

〔Karin has felt a spark for you...〕
