After a fun-filled vacation at Azure Cove Beach, Zeyu, Kailu, and their friends felt refreshed and energized. However, their adventure was not over yet. That night, while gathering in the hotel lounge, Alex proposed an idea with great enthusiasm.
"We're already in America, so how about we head to New York?" he said with sparkling eyes.
"New York?" Aline turned her head with some hesitation. "Isn't that quite far from here?"
"Yeah, but it's worth it! We can see the Statue of Liberty, walk around Times Square, and maybe visit Central Park," Alex added excitedly.
His friends looked at each other, considering the idea.
"I've always wanted to see the Statue of Liberty up close," Yuke said, rubbing his chin.
Kailu nodded. "Sounds great. It's not every day we get the chance to visit such an iconic place."
With that, the decision was made. The next morning, they packed their things and boarded the train to New York.
The train ride took a few hours, giving them a chance to rest, chat, and enjoy the scenery changing from green countryside to increasingly crowded cities.
Zeyu sat by the window, watching the world outside quickly pass by. Meanwhile, Aline was busy on her phone, searching for interesting places they could visit in New York.
"Times Square is famous for its giant billboards and entertainment venues," she muttered. "And there's Broadway if we're interested in seeing a show."
"How about we focus on the Statue of Liberty first?" Kailu said. "That's our main goal."
Alex laughed. "Sure! That'll be the first thing we do when we get there."
As they exited the station, the sight of New York City greeted them with towering skyscrapers, honking car horns, and people walking briskly to and fro. The energy of the city was completely different from any place they'd been before.
"Whoa… This city is huge," Yuke muttered, looking up at the tall buildings around him.
"You can feel the pulse of life in this city just by standing here," Aline added in awe.
Without wasting any time, they headed straight to Battery Park, where they would board the ferry to Liberty Island. The sun was shining brightly, and the cool sea breeze blew gently, carrying the salty scent of the harbor.
The Statue of Liberty – Symbol of Freedom
As they boarded the ferry, they stood on the deck, feeling the wind blow against their faces as the ship moved across the water. Slowly, the Statue of Liberty came into view in the distance, standing majestically against the vast blue sky.
"There it is!" Alex exclaimed, pointing at the giant statue.
Zeyu observed it closely. "It's bigger than I imagined…"
"Did you know? This statue is actually a gift from France to America," Aline added excitedly.
Yuke raised an eyebrow. "So, this thing crossed the ocean before it got here?"
Aline nodded. "Exactly! It was shipped in several pieces and reassembled here."
When they arrived at Liberty Island, they walked around the statue, observing every corner of it.
Zulian took many photos, while Alex and Kailu were busy taking selfies with the statue in the background.
"Come on, Zeyu! Take a photo too!" Alex exclaimed.
Zeyu hesitated for a moment, but eventually joined in. The camera captured the moment.
After they were satisfied with looking around, they entered the interior of the statue and climbed the stairs to the observation deck. From up there, they could see a stunning view of the New York skyline.
"This view is amazing…" Aline whispered, fascinated.
Kailu crossed his arms and nodded. "No wonder this place is so famous."
For a moment, they just stood there, enjoying the beauty of the city, each lost in their own thoughts.
