"Crack! Crack…"
Several of the Golden Dragon King's seals shattered simultaneously in an instant. A wild, destructive will surged forth, directly invading Tang Wulin's spiritual sea.
His eyes erupted in a blood-red glow, blood-seeping dragon wings spread wide, and he glanced coldly at those around him—seemingly about to enter a state of indiscriminate slaughter.
At that moment, Tang San's divine sense activated.
However, to suppress this level of rampage, it required the most fundamental essence of divine sense. Only that could preserve Tang Wulin's life.
The idea of forcefully attacking Di Tian? A lost cause now.
And Tang San wasn't the only one acting.
Because the celestial-quality Immortal Chrysanthemum wasn't available, Gu Yuena's damaged and incomplete cerebellum could not be healed.
Currently, she remained in a childlike mental state, no different than a three-year-old.
Yet, the moment she saw the single drop of Dragon God blood essence merge into Tang Wulin's body, a sudden pain surged through her atrophied cerebellum—as if stimulating some deeply buried memory. She began subconsciously walking toward Tang Wulin.
Almost simultaneously, the Tang Sect branch in Heaven Dou City came under attack.
Nearly ten ferocious soul beasts struck the soul tool defense array guarding the branch. Without top-tier powerhouses to hold the line, the Tang Sect in Heaven Dou was helpless against the onslaught of soul beasts with Limit Douluo-level strength.
The defense array shattered like glass, and the soul beasts' killing intent washed over every member of the Tang Sect branch.
Holy Spirit Douluo Yali immediately released her soul power, shielding the Shrek Seven Devils and Gu Yuena, attempting to evacuate them from the branch.
The youngsters before her were the future of Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect, too valuable to lose.
However, she couldn't move Tang Wulin. The two divine-level powers clashing inside him rendered him immovable, like a mountain rooted in place.
After trying and failing, and seeing the soul beasts drawing closer, Yali had no choice but to flee with the remaining six members of Shrek and Gu Yuena.
Just as Gu Yuena was about to reach Tang Wulin, she was swept away by Yali.
The many soul beasts, in eerie coordination, pursued Yali and the group—ignoring Tang Wulin, who remained behind.
Each twist and turn unfolded at lightning speed—one act ends, another begins.
An ominous chill crawled up Tang San's spine.
He had hoped the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena, could help suppress the Golden Dragon King's bloodline.
But to his disbelief, the amnesiac Silver Dragon had been taken away.
His divine sense was fully occupied suppressing the Golden Dragon King's rampage, leaving him no room to activate the spiritual imprint hidden within Gu Yuena. He couldn't restore her memory or willpower to come to Tang Wulin's aid.
With his contingencies and trump cards rapidly being revealed and exhausted, Tang San's available methods were dwindling. All that remained were his parents: the Plane's Master Tang Hao and Blue Silver Empress Ah Yin.
But as one backup after another was deployed, Tang San now had the uncomfortable sense of being caught in someone else's grand scheme.
Unfortunately, he had no choice.
While chaos erupted on the Douluo Plane, the Abyss Plane was no less turbulent.
Wave after wave of abyssal energy flowed back into the Abyss Plane, which the Abyssal Sage King devoured greedily. The one hundred and eight layers of the abyssal plane collapsed, merging into a singular whole.
Without the leadership of the Abyssal Kings, the invading abyssal army—having crossed through the dimensional passage—lost all momentum.
Their initial unstoppable advance from the Sun-Moon Federation's capital quickly stalled. Soul tool technology and weaponry halted their assault, turning the war into a brutal meat grinder.
With every passing second, countless beings perished.
All this abyssal energy became fuel for the Abyssal Sage King's growth.
"Hahahaha…"
Ecstatic laughter echoed across the cold, silent Abyss Plane.
His moment had finally arrived!
Previously, the Wisdom Emperor had informed him that the Ghost Emperor had led the Holy Spirit Cult's evil soul masters to ambush and kill all the Abyssal Kings. He had even begun a soul-seizing ritual against the Demon Empress—who had already ascended to true godhood.
Yet, their initial clash had ended too quickly. The Sage King had missed his chance.
He had thought to inform the Wisdom Emperor to boost the weaker side using the super divine weapon, the Heaven-Saint Abyssal Trident.
But before he could pass the message, another golden opportunity presented itself.
The Abyssal Sage King clearly sensed that the god-level body created by the Blood River Godslaying Array was now the site of an even fiercer, more desperate internal battle.
Seizing the moment, he made his move.
A black six-pointed star array suddenly lit up beneath the Abyssal Sage King's feet. A pillar of light enveloped his body.
With pitch-black eyes, he closed and reopened them—instantly descending onto the Douluo Plane, into the Demon Empress's body.
At this moment, both the Ghost Emperor's divine sense and the Demon Empress's will were at their weakest. The Abyssal Sage King effortlessly took control.
"Excellent! Excellent!" A chilling voice tinged with eerie glee.
"Six thousand years… and I've finally succeeded."
"Oh, world brimming with life energy—at last, I have arrived. Once I devour you, I shall become a God King!"
The Demon Empress's once white hair began to change—shifting from dull white to a radiant, crystalline silver-white. Her body grew taller, and in the blink of an eye, she transformed from female to male.
His skin was pale, face strikingly handsome, and his pitch-black eyes had no whites—just infinite, abyss-like darkness.
He wore a long black robe that draped over his broad shoulders and billowed into a vast black cape, stretching endlessly behind him.
A figure suddenly appeared beside the Abyssal Sage King, bowing respectfully and lowering his once-proud lizard-like head.
With utmost humility and reverence, he greeted the cloaked figure.
"Welcome, my Lord Sage King!"
"Rise—you've done well," said the Abyssal Sage King, waving a hand in acknowledgment.
"Yes, my lord," the Wisdom Emperor responded, rising to his feet, his beady eyes gleaming with fanatic pride.
Once the Douluo Continent was devoured, the Abyssal Sage King could transform the world into a new habitat for abyssal creatures—replacing the old Abyss Plane with a full-fledged God Realm.
At that point, the Sage King would ascend to God Kinghood, and he—the strongest Abyssal Emperor besides the Sage King—would undoubtedly become a god himself. A first-tier god, cashing in everything he'd worked for.
Standing proudly in the sky, the Sage King waved again. A streak of bluish-purple light flashed toward him and landed in his hand.
It was the Heaven-Saint Abyssal Trident—his super divine weapon.
In his grasp, the weapon turned translucent, like a torch ignited with bluish-purple flames.
Its power now far surpassed what it ever displayed in the hands of the Wisdom Emperor.
