When the Demon Gate first appeared, it was over three meters tall. As it gradually solidified, the light gate began to expand. In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a massive gate of light, over twenty meters tall and fifteen meters wide.
The surrounding space twisted violently—that was the power of the plane repelling energy from another world.
But this repulsive force was completely neutralized by the surging purple light continuously emanating from around the light gate.
Yuanen Yehui retreated to one side of the gate, continuously chanting. The purple-black light around her grew denser and more concentrated.
Rings of light pulsed around the gate, and a deep, magical voice echoed from within.
"My people, my emissary, you have done well. You have opened the passage to the Demon World."
"You will lead your kin into a brand new world. Let us fall together, be free together, and destroy together."
"March forth, Demon Legion."
These somewhat melodramatic words came from the leader of the Demon Legion within the gate—Alba.
"As your sovereign, I bestow upon you the royal purple-gold bloodline, in honor of your merits."
"All devoured life energy will contain a portion for you."
"Once we conquer this world, you shall rule it in my name."
A streak of purple-gold light flew out from within the gate and merged into Yuanen Yehui's body.
However, this noble royal bloodline didn't cause any dramatic transformation in her.
It was simply because her current power was already too immense. A drop of demonic energy from another plane was like a purple drop falling into an ocean—it was instantly assimilated and blended in.
The so-called "purple-gold royal bloodline" was more a mark of rank among demons than a source of transformation.
As the purple-gold Fallen Angel bloodline fused into her, it brought with it more demonic energy, which opened additional demon portals.
The number of portals increased until there were nine, then stopped. Deep, guttural roars echoed continuously from within.
"Descend, my Demon Legion."
The first to charge out of the gate were massive, lion-sized Hellhounds.
The Hellhounds looked ferocious, with heads larger than their bodies. When they opened their mouths, razor-sharp teeth glinted with a chilling light, as if they could bite through the world itself.
In just a short moment, thousands of Hellhounds poured out of the nine demon gates.
Following them were large-bodied Demonfolk.
Called demonfolk because they walked upright like humans, but each had four arms.
Standing around 2.5 meters tall, their bodies were covered in bulging muscles and scales. Their skin was a dark purple-black, with some having a single eye and others two.
They marched out in neatly organized ranks from the gates.
After them came the Sky Demons, humanoid creatures with wings three times larger than their bodies.
These airborne demons from the demon plane moved extremely fast, excelled in group combat, and could spit corrosive venom.
In moments, several thousand Sky Demons had surged out—the total number of demon forces had already surpassed ten thousand.
At this point, the nine light gates began to grow unstable.
The demon portals came from another plane, and were naturally repelled by this one.
At that moment, nine massive figures appeared within the gates—nine Great Demons.
Upon appearing, they braced the gates with their arms, their bodies radiating blinding purple-gold light. The light surged into the gates, stabilizing them once more.
Each Great Demon stood over ten meters tall, with massive wings, curved horns on their heads, terrifying visages, and a suffocating aura of darkness.
With the gates stabilized by them, even more demonic creatures burst forth.
Short-statured, bright-white-skinned Imp Demons surged out. These were the spellcasters of the Demon World, adept at channeling dark energy and casting all manner of negative spells.
Then came Nightmare Horned Demons, resembling black goats with flaming hooves. Towering in size, wreathed in flames, they carried the Imps on their backs and trampled the earth.
These demons, with high speed and fierce firepower, were natural partners for the slower, frailer Imps—making for a powerful combo.
At this point, the Demon Legion was essentially fully formed.
Then, a thunderous roar erupted.
The nine demon gates suddenly merged into one gigantic light gate.
From within emerged a towering, terrifying figure.
Standing over thirty meters tall, his entire body was covered in purple-gold scales. Two enormous horns, each three meters long, extended from his head. Though he looked nearly human, behind him were massive wings made of purple flame. In his hand, he wielded a giant sword of purple-gold fire.
As soon as he appeared, the surrounding space violently warped.
With a sky-shaking roar, this immense demon began to laugh wildly:
"I, the Demon Monarch Alba, have arrived!"
"My people, let us slaughter, let us devour—so you may grow even stronger."
"Open more demon portals. Summon more demon legions. Let this world tremble and be destroyed under our feet!"
"ROOOAR!!"
The entire underground realm was filled with the howls of the Demon Legion.
"ROAR—ROAR—!!"
But at that moment, beastly roars suddenly erupted from all directions, instantly drowning out the howls of the demon army.
The terrain of the underground world was sunken in the center and steep around the edges.
From the surrounding highlands, soul beasts suddenly emerged—massive figures with sharp claws stomping on the solid rock.
A rainbow of soul power filled the sky, weaving together and pressing down on the Demon Legion.
Millions of soul beasts surged forth, their combined oppressive aura utterly overwhelming—far beyond what the demon forces could withstand.
More than ten ferocious beasts and over a hundred beast kings with cultivation over 100,000 years stood at the vanguard, clearing the path for the soul beast army.
With the soul beast habitat restored and its core nourished by life force, it had become an ideal place for cultivation.
In addition, the soul beasts had reaped immense gains from several assaults on humanity.
Among the hundred-plus 100,000-year soul beasts, many had only recently broken through.
The majority of the million-strong soul beast army came from sea soul beasts.
Originally, sea soul beasts struggled with land combat.
Even for a 100,000-year sea soul beast king, fighting on land in human form would cut their combat power by about 30%.
However, leading the sea soul beasts onto land was none other than the Demon Empress.
Before setting out, Ditian entrusted her with the super divine artifact—the Sea God Trident.
With her god-level strength, she could unleash a portion of the artifact's power—enough to grant the sea soul beasts a full-power battlefield away from the ocean.
