"It's the enemy!"
"How is this possible? Lord Black Bolt and Lord Hive joined forces! How could they have failed?!"
Inside Attilan, the surviving Inhumans stared at the monitors in horror as Ragna strode toward the city. His divine radiance illuminated the lunar surface, his power undeniable.
Panic spread through the city like wildfire.
"The Skrulls! Who the hell did you people offend?! Attilan is finished! The Inhumans… we're all doomed!"
An elderly Inhuman, overcome with rage, grabbed a Skrull by the collar and slammed him onto the ground, sending dust scattering through the air.
"We still have Attilan!" shouted a young Inhuman, desperately clinging to hope. "Attilan's defenses are impenetrable!"
The city, a marvel of Kree engineering, had withstood cosmic bombardments, its protective shield durable enough to repel asteroids and resist planetary-scale assaults. Even Kree warships had failed to breach its defenses in the past. Surely, it could hold against this one god.
But the old Inhuman simply collapsed to the ground, trembling.
On the monitor screen, Ragna arrived at Attilan's protective barrier. He gazed at the screen and smiled. Then, with the casual extension of a single finger, he tapped against the shimmering forcefield.
The unthinkable happened.
The Terrigen-powered shield, strong enough to withstand hellfire meteorites, shattered like fragile glass.
Inside the great hall, the ruling Genetic Council, so accustomed to their feudal isolation, were left utterly dumbfounded. Ordinary Inhumans fell into chaos, scrambling for safety. Some cowered beneath furniture, others fled into underground chambers, as if hiding could protect them.
But the Skrulls had not yet surrendered to despair.
They had one final gambit.
Gathering in the depths of their laboratory, the remaining Skrull leaders dragged out Loki, the Asgardian trickster, bound in enchanted chains. A neurotoxin collar pulsed around his neck, restricting his abilities.
They knew Loki was Ragna's brother. That single fact was their last, desperate hope.
They had risked everything to abduct him, abandoning entire Skrull outposts to lure Ragna here.
"Sun God! Let us go!" one of the Skrull leaders called out, his voice trembling. "We swear to drive Attilan away from Earth and never return!"
Ragna's glowing eyes flicked toward them. He tilted his head in amusement.
"Oh?" he mused, glancing at Loki, bound and restrained.
"If I refuse, are you threatening to kill him?"
The Skrulls flinched.
"Respected Sun God, we just want to live!" the Skrull leader croaked desperately.
"Live?" Ragna's golden aura flared. "And what of the countless Mutants, humans, and Asgardians you've experimented on?"
A cruel smile curled on his lips.
"I don't do threats. If you're going to kill him, then go ahead."
Loki's face twisted in shock.
"Brother, wait—"
But Ragna remained unfazed.
Loki swallowed, quickly composing himself. His face shifted from disbelief to its usual smug arrogance.
"My dear brother, surely you wouldn't let me die at the hands of these… abominations?"
Ragna chuckled.
"Who is your brother? You are Jotunheim scum. I am Aesir. Understand?"
The Skrulls exchanged nervous glances.
"No… that's impossible. You're brothers! You were both tested! The frost power within him—he isn't Jotunheim blood!"
The Skrull leader paled. Their empire's archives, stolen from the Kree and Shi'ar, held records of countless genetic sequences. They had analyzed Loki's heritage.
If Loki was truly of Jotunheim descent, then…
Then what else had they gotten wrong?
Ragna's gaze darkened. He turned toward Loki, intrigued.
Loki smirked. "They've probably never seen a Jotun as handsome as me."
He tossed his shackled hands up theatrically. "Though, my dear brother, you can't let me die. Mother would be devastated."
The Skrull leader's expression contorted in horror.
"Your mother…?"
His fingers trembled as he reached for the remote detonator attached to Loki's collar. But before he could press it—
His hand dropped limply to the floor.
His entire body collapsed into golden ash.
Loki vanished from the Skrulls' grasp, instantly reappearing at Ragna's side.
Ragna exhaled, unimpressed.
"For Mother's sake, I'll let you live," he muttered.
Then he blinked.
A sea of golden fire erupted, engulfing the remaining Skrulls. Their bodies twisted in agony before crumbling into nothingness.
Ragna casually snapped Loki's shackles off, then removed the neurotoxin collar without even glancing at him. Instead, his gaze shifted toward the Inhumans.
Attilan had descended into chaos.
Some hid in bunkers, believing they could escape divine wrath. Others gathered under the banners of Attilan's remaining noble families, determined to salvage some dignity.
At the city's center, an elderly third-tier Inhuman stepped forward, accompanied by other noble elites. Unlike the others, they did not flee. They stood before Ragna, heads bowed.
"Great and mighty god," the old Inhuman intoned. "We surrender. We implore you—spare the innocent citizens of Attilan."
Ragna's eyes narrowed.
"And?" he asked, unimpressed.
The reason he hadn't instantly reduced Attilan to molten slag was simple—he still needed the Terrigen Crystals.
But these Inhumans…
They believed that surrendering meant they owed nothing. That they could walk away without consequences.
"We've surrendered!"
"And we have no grudge against you!" another noble added indignantly.
Ragna sighed.
He had no patience for the arrogance of isolated feudal lords.
A golden flame surged. The entire noble council was incinerated in an instant.
Floating above the city, Ragna's voice boomed across Attilan.
"You have one hour."
He pointed toward the central plaza.
"In one hour, I expect every Terrigen Crystal in Attilan delivered to me. Otherwise—"
He lifted a hand.
A single fireball descended. An entire district of Attilan was vaporized, its remains turned to molten glass.
The message was clear.
This was a war between civilizations.
A conflict of gods.
Mercy was an illusion.
Attilan's fate would be decided in sixty minutes.
Would the Inhumans comply?
Or would their entire race burn?
