When Gwen looked at the menu her eyes almost bulged out everything here was over the top expensive no wonder its an executive hotel .The interior was amazing the chandelier at the top, white table clothes in every table with almost three roses in each golden vase and a pianist at the centre front stage.
" This place actually is amazing " , thought Gwen
"And what will the miss have", said the waitress
Gwen's little train of thoughts admiring the place was cut by the question of the waitress.
" umm,I will.... have... the ...umm",stammered Gwen what could she choose she rarely knew any thing in the menu she was used only of common food not something royals have
"She will have what I have ,thank you", said Ralph to the waitress
" And what about beverages ",said the waitress
" Red wine for me",said Jack
How could he let this opportunity by pass he had to pick something extra expensive right .
"Do you take any alcoholics?",asked Ralph
" ummm, I do....don't ",said Gwen
Jack stepped on Gwen's foot under neath the table
" Take advantage of this moment fool ",whispered Jack to Gwen
" She will have any fizzy drink just don't make it alcohol based ,OK ",said Ralph
" Sure thing sir " ,said the waitress then she left.
" You look charming today",said Ralph
"Tha....thank you ", said Gwen
" When we wait for the food why don't the two of you start knowing each other, I assume she is to your liking ,Sir"
" Did you inform her of the real issue behind this dinner?",asked Ralph
"I actually didn't get the time ,as you know she is very busy lately", answered Jack
" Wait ,about what exactly?",asked Gwen
"You see Gwen ,you don't exactly have to ....",Jack started but was soon cut off by Ralph
" He was supposed to tell you your my new fiancé ",said Ralph casually
" Your new whattttt?, but uncle why did you.. ",started Gwen
She soon remembered Natasha's words
he could sell you to the country's richest tycoon just to settle his debts
" I should have listened to Natasha ",Gwen said to herself in a whisper
" I am leaving", said Gwen as she stood up and started leaving
"Gwen , get back here thus moment", said Jack
" Your meal is here ",said the waitress as she came with a food cart to their table,she started serving the food then left.
" Well, you better do something soon ,Mr Jack",said Ralph as he poured himself some wine in his glass
"I will ,I promise I will",said Jack as he followed behind Gwen
Gwen had already arrived at the road side and halted a cab and she entered and left.
" Gwen don't leave ",said Jack all tired and sweaty
In a black limousine outside the hotel.....
" Do you really not want to see what happens inside",said Arthur
"If you wish you may go I am not blocking you in any way", said Rex
" Wow, boss sure knows his to make girls run away from him ",said Arthur looking outside
" How so..",asked Rex
" That girl left in only thirty minutes ",said Arthur
" Now I have to ask what exactly he told her to leave like this ",said Rex as he got out the car
" Hey ,wait up ",said Arthur as he got out the car and closed the car.
They by passed Jack who immediately got into a cab and started following Gwen.
As they got inside they found Ralph busy drinking his wine without a worry in the world
" Aren't you gonna follow your fiancé? ",asked Rex
" I don't chase after girl's they chase after me ",said Ralph
" What about this food ?",asked Arthur
"Dig in ,looks like they won't be coming back anytime soon", said Ralph as the others sat on the chairs and started eating.
Gwen had gone to the highest hill in the city and sat on one of the huge rocks admiring the view of the stars dancing in the sky.
" What does uncle think of me some old antique he can just sell and get money off of, why did my life have to be such a mess why did Mon and dad die why???!",thought Gwen as she silently cried her heart out
After spending a few hours just star gazing she immediately stood up.
She got down from the hill and got a cab to her uncle's apartment .
No matter what she did she always got back their its like her uncle put a string around her and he would slowly pull it back to the apartment
Gwen slowly opened the door hoping her uncle wasn't home.
But she was welcomed by a huge slap across her face, her cheek was red with the hand mark on her and her lower lip started bleeding
"You ,foolish girl why could you not just agree to the proposal ", said Jack.
"Tell me you brat why did you refuse that offer , in this way I can easily get rid of all the debts I owe that man"
"So, is this what you plan uncle to sell me off to some mob boss ",Gwen said her ocean blue eyes pooling with more tears
"Am I some commodity you just toy around with",she continued
"I am your niece, your sister's daughter ,how can you do this to me"
"My sister's daughter?",Jack spit beside him."That woman you call my sister ,your mother was just an illegitimate child, and that's what you are to me ,an illegitimate niece"
"Now , you will go and offer yourself to Mr.Ralph,you got that",continued Jack
"What if I refuse",Gwen said
"You dare defy me",said Jack then he clicked his tongue and continued "It seems that friend of yours has a bad influence on you"
"This has nothing to do with Natasha"
"Right, but it will have with that blue jay of yours"
"How does Mimo involve with all of this"
"Go against my words and don't do as I say ….one call and I will make sure they end that cat's life"
"Please that's the last present my parents gave me "
"Good that will be a good enough bait that you will be willing you take,I am sure. You have till the end of the week to decide."
Jack left to his room leaving Gwen in shocked state ,choosing between her future or the future of the last thing her parents gave to her.
"What should I do ,it seems like everything is falling apart my future my dreams …..my everything",she thought
A few days later…..
Gwen and Natasha were at the counter in the restaurant during their shift ,the lunch rush was over so they were busy chatting.
"…so when I went to the bathroom ,I caught Freya and Deuce making out ,it was really nasty trust me…. Hey Gwen ..,…Gwen", Natasha called shaking Gwen's hand
"Ummm,yeah …what were you saying ",said Gwen confused
"Were you evenlistening?",asked Natasha
"Ummmm..I was?!"
"Girl, what happened to you,you have been in another planet for the last three days,come on if its anything you can tell me "
"Its nothing, don't be so …"
" I have been your best friend since high school ,just tell me who it is and I will send them flying to Jupiter"
Gwen chuckled a little then said
"Its just that uncle ,he has this debt and I…"
"You want to pay it off , are you kidding me Gwen , I told you before just leave him alone and …."
" I can't Natasha ,I can't if I defy him ,he will hurt Mimo and I can't let that happen"
"Your not even sure if she is alive "
"She is ..I know it"
"So what is the amount this time, One hundred thousand dollars, one million ,ten million"
"Me"
" I am sorry what ?!", Natasha almost chocked on her own saliva
"I am the amount ,uncle has to pay"

"That I am the cost?"
"Nope ,not that. I knew your uncle would sell you off to some tycoon to get rid of his debts"
" A tycoon would be much better "

"My little Gwen is gonna be in danger for the rest of her life "

After a moment of silence Natasha's phone rang .
"I am trying to be supportive to my friend but this phone keeps buzzing",said Natasha as she took her phone from her pocket and looked tisee the caller "Its an unknown number for goodness sake"
"Just answer it",said Gwen
"Umm , hello",the caller on the other side didn't answer .
"Hey, are you gonna answer or not I am kinda busy and if you dont answer in the he next ten seconds I am gonna hang up , got that"
" Who is it ?" ,asked Gwen
" I bet it's a prank caller ",said Natasha
" Miss didn't you save this number",asked the caller
"Why would I save the number if a prank caller", said Natasha
" Aren't you Natasha Fredrick",said the caller
"Are you a hacker too how do you know my name ?" ,asked Natasha
"Sorry to burst your bubble but I am the CEO of the company you applied for an interview, I called to tell you congratulations for passing the interview "
"umm, I …I... am ….sorrry !?",said Natasha totally shocked because she just called her soon to be boss a crook and a thief. Now she really was in a lot of trouble
"You shall start working next week , I hope this behaviour won't be shown at work ,am I clear?"
"Yes ,sir . Crystal. I mean it won't . Thank you so much",said Natasha as she even saluted like a solider in front if no one in particular
Then the call got hanged up.
"Jeez, who was that , that your little light suddenly flickered down",asked Gwen
" Gwen, I just insulted my soon to be boss. Argh!, I am so dead ",said Natasha as she bent on the counter and started tugging on her hair.
" Don't worry , I bet he will understand. What company did you apply for anyways ?"
" WA models"
"Your gonna be a model?" ,asked Gwen excited
"Yep, its a dream come true"
"Wait , a minute isn't that company
owned by the Winston's "
" But that's how its rumored it can't be possibly true, right"
" Cross your heart it isnt because if it is.."
"I will be working for the tycoon younger brother of your mob boss fiancé"
" Plus , no one has seen the tycoon and mob boss together so we can't be totally sure they are family"
The day went as random as usual soon it was over and the sun was setting .
" Hey, Gwen let's go for a drink",said Natasha as they went to the parking lot
"What are we celebrating", asked Gwen
" Me getting my dream job and almost freedom from my parents and your freedom from your uncle but also your last day of freedom being a law bidding citizen",said Natasha as she hoped in her bike
" Law bidding ?!, why is that ",asked Gwen as she hopped behind on Natasha's bike
"Once ,you get engaged to that mob boss dream on that the country will take you as innocent",said Natasha then she placed a helmet on Gwen's head and straped it in place.
" Hold on tight ",said Natasha then she started the bike
" But we have to get back to the apartment before ...." ,Gwen's last words were swallowed up as the bike accelerated.
