'Well that's weird especially coming from him '.
Ralph took his towel and bathrobe then went straight to the bathroom and to have a shower.
Gwen got out the room and boarded the elevator to go to the first floor. It was still early in the morning but the house looked pretty clean. It made Gwen wonder what time the maids woke up to clean the place. As she looked in the kitchen it was empty it made her wonder.
'Hasn't Aunt Zoe come yet? '
Gwen saw this as an opportunity to actually go into the kitchen. She opened up the cupboards and drawers to actually learn where most of this where stored, she thanked her fast memory for remembering things even with one glance.
Gwen washed her hands in the sink and went straight to preparing breakfast. She continued chopping some ingredients while humming till when she was interrupted by feminine voice
"Umm, ma'am what are you doing in here",said Eva
Eva had just entered the room with Aunt Zoe by her side. Aunt Zoe was about to faint
Aunt Zoe:'What if boss finds her in here cooking what will he think? '
Eva:'If master finds ma'am on here we are screwed'
"I am cooking what else",said Gwen totally relaxed unaware of the worried faces the duo beside her had.
'Ma'am, boss/Master will think we didn't do our job properly and that's why you came together kitchen yourself'
Their little trains of how to convince Gwen that she shouldn't be here came to a major stop as soon as they heard a masculine voice that made their trains stop with and screech and a lot of sparks.
"What are you doing in here? ",said Ralph his voice wasn't as hoarse as last night it was as clear as a spring in the enchanted forest inviting many to stare but few to drink from it. He was dressed in his usual black attire but he looked more casual than actually going to meet business issues.
"Making breakfast what else",said Gwen completely unbothered that the temperature dropped less than freezing point as soon as Ralph spoke.
"That job… belongs to Aunt Zoe",said Ralph
"Aunt Zoe can still continue her job I just wanted to make breakfast for my fiancé "
"I don't usually eat breakfast"
Eva and Aunt Zoe literally stood there as wallpapers afraid to make even as small motion.
"Well today. You will",said Gwen as she put the food on the table
"The food is served, welcome",said Gwen she pulled out the chair at the front centre part and beckoned for him to sit. Gwen used the classic puppy eyes to persuade him
Ralph only sighed and went to sit down at the table. He just stared at the food looking what his fiancee of his had cooked for him.
"If I had wished to poison you, I would have done it yesterday. The food is clean ",said Gwen
"Why would you wish to poison me?",said Ralph as he looked at her questionly.
"You got me engaged to you against my will",said Gwen
"I said I am protecting you"
"From what? "
"Your self",said Ralph "So will you join me for break fast or will you continue asking questions ",he continued.
'A soul you can never understand'
Gwen sighed and sat down on the table to eat breakfast, the meal went as quiet as usual.
After the meal Ralph left to work leaving Gwen again bored with nothing to do. Aunt Zoe cleared the table and went to the kitchen to continue with the daily basis of everyday.
"Ma'am would you like to read any thing today in the library",said Eva
"No thanks,yesterday's books drove me fast asleep ",said Gwen waving her hand .
"So what would ma'am wish to do today",said Eva
"There are some books that mob boss left for me to read I will go check them out",said Gwen going to the elevator "Also Eva ", continue Gwen as she turned around to face Eva.
"Yes, ma'am",said Eva
"Can you please stop calling me Ma'am it's really weird "
"But Master won't allow it ",said Eva
"We are practically the same age, if you are not a year older than me"
"Fine…..Miss …..Gwen",Eva struggled to not say Ma'am.
Ralph had practically told her to consider Gwen like she considers him. So it was really impossible for her say her name, but since she asked to not be called ma'am she would consider that as another order from his Master but in the place of the Miss.
"Also Eva, please have my food delivered to me in the room ",said Gwen then she pressed the button to the elevator door and she boarded the cabin.
"You promise you won't disturb Aunt Zoe today? ",asked Eva
"I promise,just continue with your works ",said Gwen then the elevator doors closed.
Eva went back to the kitchen to assist Aunt Zoe,who was just washing some veggies.
"Where did you leave Ma'am? ",asked Aunt Zoe
"Miss Gwen went upstairs to read some books",said Eva casually
"How can you address ma'am with her name? ",asked Aunt Zoe she was pretty much shocked.
They had to address Ma'am as they addressed their own boss, if they addressed her casually and their boss heard them it was the same as disrespecting her which did I not result into any good.
"Miss Gwen asked me to call her casually but it's impossible",said Eva crying without tears.
"Fine, but will she be coming in the kitchen today, I don't wish it to be like yesterday",said Aunt Zoe
"Not a chance, Master found her asleep yesterday in the library and offered her the books in their room.",said Eva
"The books his Great Auntie brought!",said Aunt Zoe shocked she almost dropped the bowl containing the veggies. "He rarely allows second boss to touch them ",she continued as she regained her composure.
"It seems she is more special than him ",she said Eva
"But one thing is for sure, they match up perfectly",said Aunt Zoe
"Correct ",said Eva.
The afternoon went splendid without having anyone to chase away from the kitchen for a while Aunt Zoe continued cooking the meals as usual while humming a tune.
After a while Eva got a private call, the ringtone was different from all the others mostly because it was a business call and only one person would call using this ringtone. The Master's bodyguard, Arthur. Ralph could naturally take care of himself but his Great Auntie was too over protective she had to give private bodyguards to both Ralph and Rex. Ralph bodyguard could easily maneuver with him around but Rex's bodyguard usual worked in the shadows and was known only by his people in their inner circle.
