Kiera exhaled slowly, trying to compose herself, her grip tightening around Nyla as she prepared to finish the story.
"Well, sis... the Antmen that attacked us earlier… They were more than we could handle. We had no chance, and Mother knew that."
Nyla swallowed hard when she heard the news, her voice breaking as she asked.
"Then what happened to her?"
When that question came, Kiera closed her eyes as she slowly exhaled, her voice quiet.
"To be honest with you, sis... I don't know, but given mother's prior condition and tonight invasion on the village, we can only hope for her safety, but I am being honest and real here, I am expecting the worse...you saw how badly hurt she was after she got infected by the Bloom, and to make things even worse her last fight, basically crippled her for life."
