The guards, the invaders, even the Pharaoh himself froze, their instincts screaming at them to flee. The world seemed to dim, shadows twisting unnaturally as if bending toward the source of power.

Burrhen's body detonated outward in a spray of crimson mist. His humanoid form was obliterated in an instant, flesh unraveling into raw energy, bones warping, elongating. His spine stretched with sickening snaps, his ribcage expanding as if something was hatching from within him. His face contorted, melting away into something far more monstrous.
