The morning sun barely peeked over the horizon when Zi Ning received a call from Lin Qiao. Her voice was crisp and brimming with excitement.
"It's done," Lin Qiao said. "I sent everything to the major media outlets. By noon, Wang Yin won't be able to show her face anywhere."
Zi Ning leaned back in her chair, a smile tugging at her lips. She had waited too long for this moment. Wang Yin's fall wasn't just personal—it was necessary.
"Good," she said calmly. "Let's make sure the whole city watches her crumble."
By mid-morning, the internet was already on fire. News sites and gossip forums exploded with the headlines.
"Wang Yin Exposed: Illegal Deals and Money Laundering Uncovered!"
"Socialite's Empire Built on Lies—Police Investigating Fraud Allegations!"
Screenshots of bank transfers, fake invoices, and under-the-table deals circulated everywhere. The proof was undeniable. Wang Yin's perfect image as a high-society queen was shattered.
At Starlight Entertainment, everyone was buzzing. Staff huddled around their phones, whispering about the scandal. Zi Ning walked through the office with her usual grace, but her presence felt sharper, colder. Everyone knew—this wasn't just gossip. This was power at play.
Lin Qiao burst into her office, her face glowing with triumph. "Have you seen the latest update? Wang Yin's investors are pulling out. She's bleeding money."
Zi Ning's smile deepened. "And her so-called friends?"
Lin Qiao laughed. "Abandoning her like rats on a sinking ship. No one wants to be caught in the fallout."
Zi Ning picked up her phone, dialing a familiar number. It rang only once before a smooth voice answered.
"President Lu," she said softly. "It's time to deliver the final blow."
On the other end, Lu Yichen chuckled lowly. "Consider it done."
By noon, Wang Yin's world was in flames. She sat in her luxurious villa, but there was no comfort in the gilded surroundings. Her phone buzzed non-stop—reporters, angry investors, and former allies demanding answers.
Her hands shook as she threw the phone across the room. "Who did this?!" she screamed.
Her assistant trembled nearby, too afraid to speak. "Ms. Wang… there's a press conference scheduled. The board wants a statement."
Wang Yin's face twisted with rage. "A statement? Those cowards want me to clean up this mess while they hide?"
The assistant flinched but didn't reply.
Wang Yin clenched her fists. She had worked too hard to let everything fall apart. But deep down, she knew—someone was pulling the strings. Someone who wanted her destroyed.
Her mind raced, and suddenly, it clicked. Zi Ning.
"That b*tch," she hissed. "She did this!"
She wouldn't go down quietly. If Zi Ning wanted war, she would get it.
That evening, Wang Yin called for a press conference. Cameras flashed as she stood before a room packed with reporters. Her usual grace was gone—replaced by cold fury.
"I am the victim of a deliberate smear campaign," she declared. "These accusations are false. Someone wants to ruin me, but I will not be broken."
The reporters murmured, but no one believed her. The evidence was too strong.
At the back of the room, Zi Ning watched through a live stream on her phone. She sipped her tea calmly, her expression unreadable.
"She's still fighting," Lin Qiao muttered. "Doesn't she know it's over?"
Zi Ning's eyes gleamed. "Let her struggle. The more noise she makes, the harder she'll fall."
Lu Yichen's voice interrupted their thoughts. He had just arrived, his towering presence filling the room. "I've arranged for the authorities to receive the original documents. By tomorrow morning, she'll be under investigation."
Zi Ning smiled, warm and soft only for him. "Thank you."
He stepped closer, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I only do this because you asked."
His words sent a thrill down her spine, but she kept her composure. This wasn't the time to lose focus.
"Tomorrow," she said quietly, "it ends."
The next day dawned with breaking news—Wang Yin was officially under investigation for financial crimes.

Police officers raided her office, seizing files and computers. The media captured every moment, broadcasting her humiliation across the nation.
At Starlight Entertainment, Zi Ning reviewed the reports while sipping her coffee. Everything was falling perfectly into place.
A knock at the door broke her thoughts. Lin Qiao entered, her expression both curious and cautious.
"You've won," Lin Qiao said. "Wang Yin is finished. What's next?"
Zi Ning set her cup down. Her voice was steady. "Now… we rebuild. And anyone who gets in my way will suffer the same fate."
Lin Qiao's lips curved into a grin. "Remind me never to cross you."
Zi Ning's smile was soft, but her eyes held no mercy. "Wise choice."
In the ruins of her empire, Wang Yin sat alone. Her phone no longer buzzed with messages. Her so-called friends had vanished.
Only bitterness remained.
She stared at a single name on her contact list—Guo Bao.
If she was going to fall, she wouldn't fall alone.
With trembling fingers, she dialed the number.
When the call connected, her voice was cold. "It's time. Let's destroy Zi Ning… together."
