Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: The Fall of the Angel - End

At this moment, Yang Hui entered a wondrous state. With the help of Twin Drive, the concentration of GN Particles was unprecedentedly high. In this environment, Yang Hui found that the drawbacks of the Innovator state had been eliminated, especially the flood of emotions and thoughts that had previously surged into his mind.

If before it was like a torrent rushing into his brain, regardless of whether he accepted it or not, now it felt as if he were walking down a bustling street. Although the sounds still existed, they no longer rushed into his mind all at once; instead, they floated around him like the chatter of passersby, and whether to absorb them all was entirely up to Yang Hui's choice.

"Indeed, it's like this. No wonder the old man was always reluctant to hand over Twin Drive to me early. This is a complete qualitative change. Not only has the output power of the machine increased exponentially, but combined with the abilities of Innovator, I'm confident I could single-handedly push through the three major nations. The previous joint military exercises wouldn't have been so embarrassing... Huh?"

Yang Hui's thoughts were interrupted as two surging battle intents flew towards him at high speed.

"Graham and Sergei? Experiencing the despair of being dominated by me again... Danger!"

Before he could even see where the machines were, and without radar detecting them, a black-red beam crossed the universe, nearly piercing through Gundam Rasiel.

"From this far? Gundam Rasiel's radar and sensors didn't detect you, and the attack came? How is that possible? Have they awakened Innovators too?" Yang Hui thought while maneuvering Gundam Rasiel to dodge the long-range sniper shot.

On the other side, Beiwei, carrying a large reconnaissance backpack and holding an ultra-long GN beam sniper rifle, found the gun body crackling with arcs of electricity, the high temperature nearly melting the barrel.

"The cooling system has collapsed; it overheated after just a few shots. It still needs further improvement. The shooting accuracy is acceptable, but the power... remains to be tested without a hit. Data recording complete." Seeing the ultra-long distance GN beam sniper rifle about to explode, Beiwei hurled it away with force.

As expected, it didn't fly far before it exploded.

"Hey, hey, hey, is the Human Reform League this reckless? Experimenting with new equipment at a time like this?" Graham's mouth twitched madly.

"There's no choice; it's Old Wang's order," Sergei replied helplessly. He had originally refused, but Old Wang issued a death order, using Yang Hui as a target. He would never admit this was a way to vent his frustration over Yang Hui not delivering the GN Drive and GN Drive earlier.

"Heh, fine." Graham smiled wryly. Old Wang from the Human Reform League and his own Professor Eifman were both Yang Hui's mentors. No matter how angry Yang Hui was, he could only act like a good boy in front of them. "But did you take him down?"

"Of course not. With this level of sniping, how could we take him down? We'd need fifty machines to snipe him simultaneously for that to be possible."

"True, but just right, I've been preparing for this battle for a long time!" Graham said, his fighting spirit soaring.

"Coordinate your attacks; don't be too impulsive."

"Don't worry, I know... Spread out!"

At that moment, Gundam Rasiel fired back, unleashing sixteen pink beams in retaliation.

"Finally here? I can't wait any longer!"

He could already see Gundam Rasiel on the screen, and Graham threw aside everything he had just promised Sergei. The red GN Particles behind Flag Bearer surged wildly as he drew two GN Beam Sabers and charged forward.

"Aker... never mind, I should have anticipated this situation." Sergei shook his head self-deprecatingly, then immediately piloted Beiwei to follow, shedding the reconnaissance backpack.

As a battle fanatic, Graham had finally awaited the fight he had longed for, and of course, he couldn't wait.

Yang Hui knew Graham excelled in close combat, but would he let Flag Bearer approach him so easily? Of course not!

The GN-bits dispersed, weaving a dense web of beams in front of Gundam Rasiel, completely separating Gundam Rasiel from Flag Bearer. If Flag Bearer insisted on moving forward, he would be shredded by this web.

"Damn Myer, do you dare to fight me head-on!?" Graham's voice came through the communication.

"This is the best battle strategy; after all, I'm outnumbered two to one," Yang Hui replied flatly.

"Who said we are..."

Before he could finish, Beiwei's support attack arrived, accurately hitting a gun-type GN-bit. If Yang Hui hadn't reacted immediately to block several shots with Shield-type GN Bits, the losses would have been greater.

"Brother's shooting is still so precise," Yang Hui analyzed, dividing his attention to care for Beiwei. But taking advantage of this moment, Flag Bearer had already charged in, the blood-red GN Beam Saber poised to strike down.

"Truly an opportunist, perfectly seizing the moment of distraction," Yang Hui commented.

Gundam Rasiel released its left-hand GN Submachine Gun and drew the GN Sword to meet the attack.

Although with the Twin Drive system, Gundam Rasiel had a clear advantage in output, Flag Bearer's instantaneous acceleration was too fast, and the immense power boost sent Gundam Rasiel flying.

"Got it!"

Flag Bearer seized the GN Submachine Gun that Gundam Rasiel had let go of and, in perfect sync with Beiwei, opened fire simultaneously.

Just as the beams were about to hit Gundam Rasiel, the surrounding Shield-type GN Bits converged, blocking the shots aimed at Gundam Rasiel.

"Tch, I knew it wouldn't be that easy... Oh no!"

Flag Bearer completely failed to notice that Gundam Rasiel had long been hiding among the surrounding Sword-type GN-bits. He only felt a flash of green light, and the GN Submachine Gun in his hand was sliced in half. If Graham's battle awareness hadn't sensed the crisis, it wouldn't have just been the GN Submachine Gun that was severed, but his entire arm.

But would Yang Hui's setup be that simple?

Of course not!

Sword-type GN Bits surrounded Flag Bearer, continuously attacking and forcing him to struggle for survival in a narrow gap.

After a few seconds of siege, Flag Bearer was already in a dire state. At that moment, two Sword-type GN Bits had darted to his back, aiming at the upper and lower edges of the cockpit, ready to split Flag Bearer into three pieces.

At this time, Beiwei's support fire accurately hit the Sword-type GN Bits, saving Flag Bearer from defeat.

"Are you okay? Aker!" Sergei asked with concern. Although Flag Bearer had avoided destruction, the blast at close range would still impact Graham and Flag Bearer significantly.

"Cough, I'm fine, just the Flag Bearer..." Graham looked at the yellow area on the system, cursing himself for being careless, and felt pained that Flag Bearer had taken damage.

"Xiao Hui is not that easy to deal with; we need to work together."

"Okay... be careful!"

"What!?"

In the brief moment of their exchange, Gundam Rasiel suddenly accelerated towards Beiwei, the distance that was already short closing to face-to-face in the blink of an eye.

"Time to exit, brother."

Without giving Sergei a chance to react, the GN Sword came crashing down.

Fortunately, Sergei's years of battle awareness were not in vain. He instinctively pulled the control stick, allowing Beiwei to avoid being cut in half, but his right arm was still severed.

"How did he dodge that?" Yang Hui was momentarily stunned, then quickly regained his composure, pulling back to avoid exposing his back to Flag Bearer and being attacked from both sides.

While retreating and shooting to suppress, Beiwei also raised his gun to fire back at Gundam Rasiel. The fierce exchange of fire made it impossible for either side to completely evade. Beiwei lost another leg, but Gundam Rasiel was also hit in the waist, causing many sensors to malfunction.

"Now's the time!"

"What?"

Under the cover of Beiwei's fire, Flag Bearer had charged up without Yang Hui noticing, dual swords gleaming with a dazzling cold light.

"You're dead!"

The crisis of death buzzed in Yang Hui's mind. Even he couldn't react in time; his conscious mind had stalled, but the subconscious sense of danger made him murmur, pulling the control stick and stepping on the pedal.

"Trans-Am."

Graham was dumbfounded; his guaranteed strike missed! He felt his vision blur for a moment, and then Gundam Rasiel vanished.

"What's going on?"

"A new weapon?"

Beiwei and Flag Bearer stood back to back, searching for Gundam Rasiel's whereabouts.

"Where did he go..."

"Above!"

As they looked up, alarms blared. At that moment, Gundam Rasiel was surrounded by GN-bits, like loyal guardians protecting him in the center. GN Particles surged from his back, forming two emerald green wings. At this moment, Gundam Rasiel truly embodied the name of an angel.

With Gundam Rasiel's command, the GN-bits scattered, Shield-type GN Bits enclosing the two machines in the center, while gun-type GN-bits charged up, pink light shimmering.

The color that originally represented "cuteness" now appeared terrifying to Sergei and Graham, like the call of death.

"That move!"

"Be careful!"

Just as the two machines braced themselves, pink beams shot out, reflecting off the Shield-type GN Bits. Even if Beiwei and Flag Bearer dodged once, the beams would reflect back from another Shield-type GN Bit.

"What speed is this? It can keep up with the beams!" Graham was sweating profusely. Yang Hui's current maneuvers completely defied logic. The Shield-type GN Bits were constantly moving, adjusting the optimal reflection position with each movement of the beams. Logically, the speed of the Shield-type GN Bits shouldn't be able to keep up.

"It's because of the red light," Sergei analyzed. Gundam Rasiel's movements began the moment the red light appeared, and Gundam Rasiel's performance had suddenly received a massive boost, allowing the GN-bits to perform actions that defied reason.

"Damn it, he even hid this move!"

"Hold on! The performance burst must have some kind of limit—time, energy... it can't operate for long!"

"Impossible!" Graham immediately opposed Sergei's suggestion. The beams were still increasing; in just a few seconds, they could completely cover the area they were in, leaving nowhere to hide and no way to escape.

"Your suggestion?"

"A breakthrough!"

"Huh?" Sergei divided a bit of his attention to analyze the current situation and feasibility, making a quick decision. "Okay, I'll clear the way for you; stay close to me!"

"Please."

Beiwei shielded his chest with the shield, protecting the cockpit area. The GN Drive's output power was maxed out as he charged towards Gundam Rasiel, with Flag Bearer closely following behind.

Before they could charge far, Beiwei was pierced by dense beams, and Flag Bearer was also hit by multiple beams from behind, but they didn't stop, their feet pressing the pedals to the floor.

"Ah~! It's not... over yet!"

In the final roar, Beiwei and Flag Bearer exploded into sparks amidst the pink light, turning into a brilliant firework in the universe.

"It's over." Yang Hui watched the explosion expressionlessly. Thanks to his transformed thinking ability, the final attack was deflected and didn't directly hit the cockpit. After calculations, the two might be injured, but they would definitely survive.

Just when Yang Hui thought the battle was over, two damaged machines suddenly burst out from the smoke.

"What!?" In a state of absolute rationality, Yang Hui's eyes showed intense fluctuations.

"This is... the end!" The roars of the two came through the communication simultaneously. Just as Yang Hui was about to pull the control stick, Beiwei and Flag Bearer's Beam Sabers pierced Gundam Rasiel, one stabbing into the right shoulder and the other into the lower abdomen.

"Well done." A smile crept onto Yang Hui's lips as he closed his eyes.

"Boom~!"
