Cherie's words stunned me. It was a question I wasn't expecting, but it showed how far she was willing to go to put a rift between Christian and Morgan.
My lips curved up into a big smile. "Yes, that's a wonderful idea! We would love your company!"
Why not bring my sister a nice welcome gift home to keep her busy.
"It's so nice to see Cherie getting along well with Leslie. I always felt bad for her because we needed to move so often due to my wife's health; she never had the chance to make strong friendships," said Roan from the hospital bed.
"How is your wife now?" asked Christian.
"She's doing much better. The warmer weather and mild climate suits her very well," answered Roan.
After realizing that I wasn't what she expected, Cherie pretended to be tired and walked over to take a seat in the armchair.
