I sat on Dreg Two's back as he held the plank position, him not daring to move an inch.
I told Dreg One to take what's-his-face with the doodles on himself to the infirmary, and info guy to go fetch my last punching bag for the day. The second years were beneath me entirely, I'd just have the third years keep them in line and destroy whoever popped their head out in defiance.
The only one left was Park Heejuu — no, that wasn't it.
Park Heejun was the only one left. If he was worth anything, I wouldn't forget his name after I thrashed him on the rooftop.
I wasn't focused on here, though — my victory was already set in stone in my mind, with how the fight with the third years turned out. They weren't a threat.
I was focused on the rest of Incheon, and of who I'd set my sights on after I consolidate my rule here. The boys I garnered from the streets were integrating back into the school system, but not to pursue something as meager as education — they were my scouts, to see which schools had the highest combat power, which ones had internal strife, and to take over any if they were able.
To incite rebellion and gain vital information.
Info guy, as I called him, told me he knew everything in Incheon that I needed to know, but I already had eyes and ears everywhere I needed to at the moment.
The only exception were the highschools, I didn't have enough capable people at that age to gain anything useful, just public information that most would already know. But even rumors and public info, is better than no info at all.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the rooftop door opening. Info guy exited the staircase first, nodding toward me before walking my way and standing to my side.
Five kids emerged behind him, the one at the front I assumed was Park Heejun — a kid with black, short hair and a white blazer, his hands in his pockets.. Three others had the typical lackey look, two skinny delinquents with identical faces and a taller fat kid that looked like he was 30.
The last one was a scrawny kid that looked like he should be anywhere but here. This must be the loser that I heard Heejun hangs around.
They looked around and all of them were seemingly shaken by all the unconscious bodies of the third years, their blood strewn all over the concrete like a murder scene. Their eyes stopped on my figure, Park Heejun and strangely the scrawny kid the only ones who didn't flinch when I stared back.
Good, he at least had some qualifications.
I turned my attention to my hands, continuing to wipe the last of the dried blood off of them using one of the unconscious third year's shirt.
"Who's face do you want me to smash first."
My voice and a slight wind were the only sounds that traveled across the rooftop.
"You, or your boyfriend's."
I didn't bother looking up, but I reckon they didn't like my remark very much.
I didn't care.
"You have ten seconds to decide, before I decide for you."
I felt Dreg Two's body start to shake under me, his breath getting heavier — he wouldn't last much longer. If he gave out before the ten seconds were up though, he'd be the first one to get a beating, and he knew that.
"You're stronger than I thought you'd be, Romeo. But if you think you can just walk over everybody here on the first day, you're dead wrong."
Park Heejun finally spoke, his voice one of cold determination.
"You'll find out quickly that I'm not like the rest of the people you beat so far."
I looked up to see Heejun walking forward before stopping in the middle of the rooftop, his minions and scrawny boyfriend standing to the side as spectators. I allowed a small smirk to form on my face before standing up, Dreg Two collapsing on the ground in exhaustion.
"Good. Because if I'm disappointed, your little nerd friend's going to need plastic surgery by the time I'm done rearranging his facial structure."
His eyes narrowed dangerously at my words.
"You're going to regret that saying that."
I cracked my neck and started walking towards him.
"Come and make me."
The only hint I got was him slightly taking his right hand out of his pocket. Before I could fully register it, his fist was already inches away from my face.
My eyes slightly widened and time seemed to slow down as my body instinctively twisted out of the way, my head curving and his knuckles scraping past my left cheek and leaving a small cut, droplets of blood sprinkling into the air.
He's fast.
I pounced to counterattack, taking a step forward and twisting my upper body as I clenched my right hand into a fist, his eyes widening in surprise even as they tracked my every movement.
He didn't expect me to dodge that.
My fist exploded like a cannon towards his face. He leaned his head back and quickly pulled his other hand out of his pocket, using his palm to redirect my arm slightly to the side and causing my fist to narrowly miss its target.
I tensed my forearm and lashed my hand out, forcefully grabbing a hold of the wrist of the palm that pushed my arm away before twisting and pulling it toward me with a hard yank, his steady face contorting in pain as a loud pop sounded from his shoulder.
I didn't stop, twisting my upper body and slamming my fist into the bottom of his unprotected jaw. I felt his teeth rattle as I clocked him dead center with an uppercut, his body staggering. I didn't let go of his wrist, pulling my fist back for another punch before shooting it towards the side of his jaw.
His eyes focused into a desperate gleam and he lifted his leg up before stabbing his shoe into my ribs, pushing me away from him while also pushing backwards off of my body to widen the distance.
He grit his teeth before holding his injured shoulder and popping it back into place, grunting with pain. His eyes were intensely focused on me, registering the slightest of my movements with terrifying clarity as he raised his arms up into a guard similar to boxing before darting toward me with a grim but determined look.
I focused intently, studying every inch of his form. The sweat dripping down his face, his eyebrows narrowing along with his eyes. I started moving my body apprehensively as I spotted him tensing his left shoulder, already moving to the side even before his fist exploded into a deadly jab that barely missed my face.
He didn't stop, sending a hook toward my spleen that I blocked before I sped my fist toward his solar plexus, turning it forcefully halfway into an uppercut aimed at his jugular. He leaned back and my knuckle nicked his throat before he twisted and slammed his foot toward my temple, crashing into my blocking forearm and stinging it from the impact.
I grabbed his outstretched ankle and turned, clenching my teeth and letting out a sliver of my chained rage as I pulled, dragging his entire body by his foot and slamming him onto the floor with unrelenting force.
He gasped as the air was knocked out of him before quickly rolling out of the way of my shoe as it crashed into the rooftop inches away from his skull. I sped toward him with my face contorted in controlled fury as he got to his feet, smacking away the bullet of a kick that he shot toward me before blasting a punch that he narrowly leaned out of the way.
He quickly grabbed a hold of my arm before stretching his foot out and using his entire body to flip me over in a textbook judo throw.
I landed on my spine, pain flooding through my body. It fueled my anger and I latched onto his ankle and yanked his foot from under him, using his foot as leverage to pull myself up and catapulting my body toward him as he was falling while I pulled back a fist.
I was greeted with a shoe planted into my nose, him kicking my face with his other leg and using my face as a platform to stop himself from falling completely before he kicked off of my bloody nose and pushed once more away from me, rolling on the ground and slowly getting up again.
I got to my feet, grabbing my nose and making sure it wasn't broken before closing one nostril and shooting the blood from out of the other one onto the ground. After a moment of tense silence, I spoke.
"I have to admit."
I started to take off the outer jacket of my school uniform before throwing it to the side.
"You haven't disappointed me, Heejun."
I rolled up my sleeves and swept my hair back, my crimson eyes looking down at him as I pulled more and more of the chains loose, greeted with the feeling of a bubbling rage forming within the center of my chest.
I inhaled through my now clear nose and breathed out a long exhale like a smoker puffing out a cigarette, controlling myself as my body grew hotter and I felt the every vein and muscle tense, my rage like liquid fire as it spread from the center of my chest toward the rest of my body.
"So, try not to die."
