Chapter 4 - Perceverance Useless (1)

Azrael was sitting on the stone floor, hunched over the small table in front of him. In his hand were two metal plates and to the right of the table was a small spoon.

Azrael was in a strange place but he was on the same planet as before.

To his right was an expanse of land made of purple crystalline stones, while to his right was the huge expanse of desert, in the distance some mountains could be seen but these were compact sand that were created under the whims of some desert spirits.

On the side of the purple crystals some areas are smooth and good for sitting or walking, but some parts are broken, it was like broken crystals that hurt those who walk on them. Even the smooth parts are easy to break if you don't place your foot properly.

Azrael cono ce all this, because the Angel girl named Gabriel told him all that.

"Count out loud" Said Gabriel who stood behind him, with her arms crossed under her chest she glared at Azrael with her gaze.

"Ugg" Azrael complained as he gritted his teeth in anger.

"189!" he shouted.

But for shouting the grain on his table flew away.

"It doesn't count anymore, you're on number 187" Gabriel said with a serious and indifferent look. Still internally.

'Haha that's what's wrong with you evil' In her mind Gabriel was enjoying what was happening to Azarel. Being a sinner, having things go wrong for him was something Gabriel enjoyed, as he had it coming to him.

She was the one who took Azarel out of the white room, since there was nothing else to do there she took him to this place on this inhospitable and lifeless planet. It was a good place to waste time, at least for Gabriel.

Since she was waiting for something specific that had not happened yet, she just had to wait, yes wait. But waiting is already frustrating even for her, Gabriel like Angle doesn't like to be around a sinner, not without giving him a punishment and so far she has been holding back but if this keeps delaying she will only have that option.

Azrael who was counting the grains and placing them in a jar, waited patiently and counted multiple times out loud. He separated the grains of sand and then placed them in the jar.

He couldn't cheat, not because Gabriel, the Angel behind him was constantly watching him.

'Turn around, turn around dammit'.

Every so often Gabriel would turn around, he understood a little that she most likely didn't like to see him even though he didn't know the reason with pressure although he had a vague idea why.

Suddenly Gabriel turned around at that very moment.

Azrael wasted no time in getting up from his place and threw the table he had on his feet to Gabriel. While he got up in a hurry and headed straight for the glass area.

He ran with all his might, but the weight of the chains made him stagger and made it impossible for him to even run properly. His arms were stretched out to the floor and his back was hunched over as his feet struggled to run.

But the chains on his feet were lighter than those on his arms but still heavy and painful to wear. But it was a pain that Azrael didn't mind suffering because he had already been through and done worse.

Azrael ran as fast as he could and on the way he saw footsteps the same size as his feet, at full speed, still gritting his teeth and with his eyes as wide as a fish. Although he didn't want to do it he looked back and his eyes connected with Gabriel's.

Gabriel had a calm and relieved smile, she was also cheerful, a sweet joy that was almost contagious. Gabriel watched as Azrael ran, and at the same time the chains that were now moving from their position.

Gabriel placed her white, unblemished foot between the chains, so that when Azrael got far enough away this chain would tighten and throw him off. With a winning smile Gabriel stuck out her chest and crossed her arms in victory.

But suddenly the chain just kept going.

Causing Gabriel's gaze to widen in surprise, his mouth of opened for a moment and he tried to process what just happened, when Gabriel's gaze went to Azrael's chains he tried to see if the chains were okay.

"It's impossible to break, how did he do it?" Gabriel said aloud.

The two handcuffs on Azrael's feet connected with a long black chain and the same thing happened with the handcuffs on his hands.

Azrael from a distance sensing that his plan worked perfectly smiled. He use a little scam trick that they do in some places in China, it is a ruse which confuses those who do not know the trick. The idea is to put a coiled rope and the customer has to put the stick with the aim of stopping the rope but in the end it doesn't stop it and the rope keeps going.

Do you want to know how it works? Sorry it has a patent

"Stupid bitch haha you won't catch me again!" shouted Azrael as he kept running, even though at that moment he felt that his chains had become heavier.

Azrael could smell for a moment the air of freedom.

Gabriel, who was at a distance, heard the insult and a vein quickly appeared on her forehead, but then she sighed and the vein that had previously appeared on her forehead disappeared. Two pairs of wings appeared on her back and spread out, as if it was nothing her two wings only flapped once.

Like a flash of light she disappeared and appeared in front of Azrael.

"You!" Azrael knew he couldn't escape, he has done it many times before but he hasn't succeeded she is fast very fast. Now he understands that an Archangel and whatever was a Solar Rank was too strong for his current self.

But she wouldn't leave it at that, she raised her arm and even with all her strength she directed it to hit Gabriel.

Gabriel looked at him with annoyance before stretching out his hand glowing with a yellow light, moving at a moderate speed he hit Azrael's face making him fly back to the same place where he was.

Azrael felt the pain, but it didn't matter because now he was writhing in pain. But the pain was different, it was not a pain inflicted by Gabriel directly, its origin is totally different from the one that people with abilities exert.
