"Boo-hoo... Why do you guys keep saying the same thing? I've been hearing your words for months now."
The Silver Moon Pack residence was noisy because of someone's heartbreaking cries. The cries came from Elyna, who was heavily pregnant and was having a tantrum in the living room of one of the rooms in the building. Even Val could no longer calm her mate down. Elyna had reached her limit. She was no longer silent when they told lies like Tritan was busy, so he couldn't visit or something.
"I WANT TO MEET HIM, VAL! WHERE IS TRITAN?!"
Oh good. Elyna started shouting until she coughed a few times. At the end of her pregnancy, Elyna did seem healthier than before. But underneath it all, she had become more sensitive and irritable about the smallest things. Some part of her must have realized that Tritan was in danger. Val was worried too. But no matter how hard Val tried to contact the vampire race, he didn't get any reply except a request that they wait for the right time for Tritan to come see Elyna again.
Georgio, who sometimes came to visit Elyna, also kept his mouth shut about things that concerned Tritan. His answer was always the same every time Val or Elyna asked about Tritan. Georgio would say that Tritan was busy when Elyna asked him. Meanwhile, if Val tried to find out, the leader of the vampires only said that Val should just wait and help her calm Elyna, who kept looking for Tritan's whereabouts.
Everything was confusing for Val. But he couldn't do much for the time being. Pregnancy is the most vulnerable phase for the werewolf race. Although Val was quite worried about Tritan's condition, he tried to think positively and just focus on calming Elyna so that she wouldn't be too stressed during her pregnancy.
"He'll come back. You believe him, right?"
When Val reached out her hand, Elyna immediately entered his embrace. She cried loudly on Val's chest. It felt so tight. Elyna felt like something had taken Tritan away from her.
"Sob, I just want to meet him. Sob, I miss him," Elyna whined again.
"Aw... why is my sweet partner crying, hm? Pregnant people shouldn't be sad. They say, when the mother is sad, the child in her womb can also feel their mother's sadness."
That distinctive voice made Elyna's crying stop immediately. Her eyes stared in surprise at Tritan, who was standing in front of her with his arms outstretched. Val let Elyna out of his embrace to hug Tritan tightly, who had just appeared out of thin air.
"Why are you crying even harder, Elyna? Shouldn't you be welcoming me with a big smile and a warm hug right now?"
Elyna cried while gripping Tritan's clothes tightly. No one knew how relieved Elyna was when she saw Tritan again.
"I missed you."
Tritan tried to appear cheerful to cheer Elyna up. But when he heard Elyna's words, it took a few moments before Tritan managed to control his expression again. Tritan also missed Elyna very much. They were separated because of the werewolf's betrayal for hundreds of years. But when they were finally together, Tritan was forced to choose the path where he thought Elyna would be happiest.
"I'm sorry, Elyna. I have to go take care of important business for a few months."
Tritan stroked Elyna's head gently. Tritan tried to calm her down until Elyna slowly fell asleep. Being pregnant alone took a lot of her energy. Not to mention, all day long, Elyna had been using her energy to whine and cry as much as possible.
When Elyna was sound asleep, Tritan carried her carefully. Tritan's gaze scanned the living room, which was messy because of Elyna's tantrum. Tritan then looked at Val, who continued to watch him with a complicated gaze.
"I'm sorry. You must have had a hard time all this time."
Val then shook her head. "It's no big deal." She then looked at Tritan, who looked better than before. "I see you look better than before. Elyna has become more irritable and crying since you left. I think your baby has been looking for his father all this time," Val explained softly. Tritan nodded slightly. He then put his ear to Elyna's enlarged stomach. He could feel the baby inside kicking softly, making Elyna moan but not wake up from her sleep. Tritan smiled softly. He then kissed Elyna's stomach lovingly.
"Don't be naughty, Baby. Daddy wants you to be good in there. You don't want to hurt your Mommy, do you?" Tritan whispered. Everything seemed fine. But after a few moments, Val's calm expression turned into a shocked expression.
Val was not stupid enough to miss Tritan's hands which began to tremble as he continued to try to support Elyna's weight. His breathing slowly became rapid until Tritan had to hand Elyna to Val while he coughed until he fell from his standing position.
"You..."
"Engh."
Val's words were cut off when Elyna began to move restlessly. Elyna's hands tried to squeeze her stomach. Elyna, who had only been asleep for a while, finally woke up and sobbed again.
"It... hurts," she whispered while shaking. Val's eyes widened as the clear liquid ran down Elyna's thighs. Her sobs grew louder, and her hands tried to squeeze her stomach even tighter.
"She's going to give birth soon, Val! Cough, go! Cough cough! I-I'll catch up with you guys."
Tritan, who was still in bad condition while kneeling, tried to wake Val from his shock. Val nodded and then quickly left the room while his inner wolf told everyone that their Luna would soon give birth to his child.
[Zen, prepare the operating room. Elyna will give birth today.}
Val personally sent a separate message to Zen, who acted as Elyna's doctor. Zen replied affirmatively, and Val tried to calm Elyna by continuing to kiss the top of her head.
"Everything will be fine. Please endure it for a little longer," Val asked with a tone of anxiety. Elyna nodded weakly. However, when Elyna realized something, her hands gripped Val's shirt, and she started to look worried.
"Where is Tritan, Val?" she asked anxiously. Elyna wanted to give birth while accompanied by her two partners. She was scared at that time.
"He's right behind us, Elyna. Tritan won't leave you alone," Val comforted even though there was no Tritan behind them. Honestly, Val was also worried about the man's condition. Tritan told Val that he would only sleep for a while after planting a protective spell for Elyna. But from what Val had seen, it seemed that things were never that simple.
Tritan looked like a vampire who was at the end of his life. Val did not think he was seeing things. He could not even feel Tritan's power anymore.
"Alpha, we have prepared the delivery room."
Val finally arrived at the delivery room that had been prepared by his pack members, where they had been on standby when Val arrived. Val carefully laid Elyna on the bed. When Val saw Elyna continue to groan, he could not help but feel restless and worried.
"Calm down. Luna will be fine," Zen whispered when he saw his brother's troubled face. The nurse who would help Elyna's delivery came in, followed by Tritan, who arrived not long after while being carried by Georgio, who had arrived at his pack who knew when.
"Are you okay?" Val asked Tritan worriedly. Tritan nodded briefly, then his eyes turned to Elyna, who was no longer anxious after she saw his arrival.
"You'll be fine...trust me."
Elyna nodded, then asked for her second partner's hand as Zen began the labor process. They all helped Elyna to go through labor safely. Only when they heard the sound of the two babies crying could they finally heave a sigh of relief.
Tritan smiled happily. He kissed Elyna's forehead, followed by Val, who did the same.
"You are great, Elyna," said Tritan seriously. Elyna nodded before she finally fell asleep again. Zen said it was normal for Elyna to spend all her energy crying and then giving birth that day.
The newborn baby was then taken by Zen and the nurses to be bathed. Meanwhile, Tritan patted Val's fallen shoulder and chuckled.
"I think your child will protect my child in the future. Ah... I'm calm now," sighed Tritan happily. He slowly slumped on the bench, covering his face with his hands while smiling bitterly.
"Please hold on a little longer... I want to hold my child. I want to talk to Elyna one last time..." he whispered to himself desperately.
