The tension in the room hadn't lifted, not even after Orin had woken up, his eyes returning to normal. He looked weak, barely able to sit up on his own, yet there was something in his gaze—something steady, unwavering.

Elara knelt beside him, holding his arm as if afraid he might slip away again. "Are you in pain?" she asked softly.

Orin gave her a tired smile. "A little, but I've had worse." His voice was hoarse, and he winced as he tried to shift. "You always were the worrier, Elara."

She let out a shaky laugh, but there were tears in her eyes. "And you always found a way to get into trouble."

Orin exhaled, glancing around. "Where are we?"

"A hidden castle," I said. "We've been staying here for a while."

He nodded slowly, his gaze settling on me. "And you are…?"

"Lucien Draven," I said.
