Nuxsus crossed his arms, staring down at the man before him.

"Now then," he said, his voice laced with curiosity. "How did you get information about something no one in this room knows?"

The Broker remained silent for a moment before exhaling slowly. "We have a deal then? Twenty million a year?"

Nuxsus sighed. "Sure, we do." He tilted his head slightly. "Now, your first order—kneel."

The Broker's lips pressed into a thin line. His pride resisted, but in the end, he sighed and lowered himself to one knee.

The moment he did, a crimson magic circle flared to life beneath him. Symbols and runes pulsed with power, casting an eerie glow over the room.

His eyes widened in panic as Nuxsus approached him, slow and deliberate. "What is this?! I did what you asked! You still need my information! Are you really going to risk it all and kill me?!"

Nuxsus only grinned.

Raising his hand, he let his own blood seep from his palm, tendrils of crimson energy snaking toward the kneeling man. The blood crept into the Broker's mouth, his nose, his eyes—forcing itself into every fiber of his being.

The Broker let out a choked gasp before his body convulsed violently. A dark cocoon formed around him, pulsating with raw, unnatural energy.

Then, silence.

A moment later, the cocoon cracked open.

The Broker stepped out, unchanged in dress—still clad in a sharp black suit and dark-tinted glasses. But beneath those glasses, his once-human eyes now glowed an unmistakable crimson. Sharp fangs peeked from his lips as he instinctively licked his teeth, adjusting to his new existence.

{Vampire Class: Sherman Fine AKA The Broker}

Nuxsus chuckled, pleased. "Sherman Fine, huh?"

Immediately, the newly turned vampire kneeled, head bowed. "Yes, my lord…"

"Good." Nuxsus stepped forward. "Now tell me—how did you get that information about me?"

Sherman adjusted his glasses, now speaking with absolute reverence. "Vandal Savage, my lord. He acquired information about you. The price was high—too high even for me. But… he also knows I only deal in information. So, the moment I inquired, I became part of the exchange."

Nuxsus narrowed his eyes. "How did he know about me?"

"I asked the same, my lord," Sherman answered. "It seems… he knew you personally. From a time long before." His voice lowered slightly. "After all, Vandal Savage is immortal. He has lived since the dawn of humanity."

Hearing that, Nuxsus's expression darkened. His gaze flickered with understanding.

Then, he muttered, "Chaos…"

At the mention of her name, a figure emerged from behind him.

Chaos, grinning like a mischievous child, clasped her hands together. "What is it~?" she asked, her tone playful, almost teasing.

Nuxsus turned to her, unimpressed. "Don't pretend like you don't know." He stepped closer, voice sharp. "Why does the man known as Savage know about me? Wasn't I supposed to be from a different world?"

Chaos giggled, her eyes twinkling. "Technically… yes~" She twirled her finger in the air. "But you see, Nuxsus… Chaos is, well, Chaos. It's never neat, never clean. Upon transferring you here, the entire history of your actions transferred with you!"

Nuxsus's eyes narrowed.

"Essentially," Chaos continued, her grin widening, "all of your past—everything you've ever done—has been rewritten into this timeline! As far as the world is concerned, you've always been here!"

Nuxsus folded his arms, thinking. "And how does that make things more chaotic?"

Chaos pouted, tapping a finger against her chin. "Because, silly~! Now there are two versions of history. One that was and one that is! Two different sets of cause-and-effect, both coexisting in a way that shouldn't be possible!" She giggled again. "It's like shuffling a deck of cards and leaving out a few! Now people remember events but can't always connect how they happened!"

She leaned in, whispering with a grin. "And that, my dear Nuxsus, is pure, beautiful Chaos~"

Nuxsus smirked, finally understanding. "That… makes no fucking sense."

He then turned back to Sherman. "Stand up."

Sherman obeyed instantly.

"You're going to do a lot for me," Nuxsus stated simply. "Follow me."

As he turned to leave, Raven approached, her dark eyes filled with curiosity. "My lord…" she asked, "why did you not make them both serve you? You could have turned them both."

Before Nuxsus could answer, Harley suddenly burst out laughing.

"Because Chaos, duh!" she grinned, throwing her hands in the air. "Nuxy doesn't REALLY need 'em both, so why keep 'em? Kill one, take one! Now the Underworld just lost three of its most important figures!"

She twirled beside Nuxsus, giggling. "Chaos, silly! Chaos!"

...

Nuxsus leaned back in his seat, his crimson eyes glinting in the dim light. "Now then, Broker. Here's what I need—strong people. Ones that can serve me. And ones that are... easily manipulated." His lips curled into a smirk. "Preferably women. They're easier to charm."

He cast a glance toward Harley, who practically melted under his attention, a dreamy sigh escaping her lips.

The Broker nodded without hesitation. "Done."

But Nuxsus wasn't finished. His expression hardened. "Not just anyone. I need them to be multi-specialized—combat, intelligence, magic, tech, whatever. I don't want a one-trick pony."

Sherman adjusted his glasses. "Understood."

"One more thing," Nuxsus continued. "Loyalty is the most important factor. I don't know yet if turning someone into a vampire will let them keep their previous powers—or if they'll be as strong after the change. I need to test it on one before I start transforming the rest."

He leaned forward, his voice dropping slightly. "That means the first candidate has to be perfect."

The Broker nodded again, his new vampiric nature making his movements unnervingly smooth. "I'll need three days, my lord. In that time, I'll not only gather a list of candidates, but I'll also pinpoint their locations. If possible, I'll even bring them here myself."

Nuxsus exhaled slowly, pleased.

"Good," he said, a sharp grin forming. "Then get to work."
