As she worked through the documents, the teller kept glancing at Feng Yizhou, clearly trying to figure out who he was in relation to Qingran. His presence alone seemed to make her tread more carefully.
Once everything was signed, the teller took the forms and entered the information into the system.
"Your account will be active shortly," she said stiffly. "Once it's set up, we can process the deposit."
Qingran leaned back, satisfied. "See? That wasn't so hard."
The teller ignored her and turned to a nearby colleague, murmuring something before disappearing into the back office.
Qingran tapped her fingers against the counter. "She really thought I stole it."
Feng Yizhou smirked faintly. "You do look suspicious."
She shot him a look. "How?"
"You're carrying millions in cash with no financial history at this bank."
Qingran rolled her eyes. "Excuse me for not keeping a high roller account."
Feng Yizhou didn't reply, but the amusement in his expression didn't fade.
