Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Little Beauty

A couple of days had passed since the battle with Yang Kai. The morning sun cast long shadows over the sect's training grounds as Nie Yong stood in the center, his body drenched in sweat, yet his eyes burned with unwavering determination. His strength had surged in just a short time, pushing his cultivation and martial skills to new heights.

[The host has reached the 8th Tempered Body Stage!]

[The martial skill, Phantom Gale Wrath Arts, has been raised to level 23!]

[The martial skill, Phantom Scorching Wrath Arts, has been raised to level 23!]

[The martial skill, Scorching Arts, has been raised to level 74!]

[The martial skill, Swirling Wind Palm, has been raised to level 97!]

[The martial skill, Ghostly Yin Fang, has been raised to level 76!]

[The martial skill, Yin Blade, has been raised to level 13!]

[The skill, Swordsmanship, has been raised to level 27!]

[The martial skill, Dark Abyssal Sword Art, has reached level 7!]

[The host's current battle power has risen to 1st Qi Transforming Stage!]

Despite achieving so much, Nie Yong remained steadfast in his training. His goal was clear—to create a new martial skill.

The Yin Blade was undeniably powerful, but it relied on Yin Qi, which Nie Yong could not cultivate independently. The only source of Yin Qi in his body came from his Unyielding Golden Skeleton, and since he could not cultivate multiple Secret Arts, he had long chosen to focus on the superior True Heart of Yang Secret Art rather than the Evil Yin Secret Art. Because of this, he sought to forge a new path—to replace the Yin Qi in the Yin Blade with Yang Qi and create a counterpart to the technique.

Nie Yong exhaled, focusing his breathing as he channeled his Yang Qi through his meridians. He carefully locked away his Yin Qi within his Unyielding Golden Skeleton, ensuring that only pure Yang Qi flowed through his body.

Then, he activated the Yin Blade martial skill.

A brilliant energy blade formed in his hand, but unlike the usual dark, eerie glow of the Yin Blade, this one radiated intense, scorching heat. It shimmered with golden-orange flames, crackling with raw power, a direct manifestation of his overwhelming Yang Qi.

[The host has created the martial skill, Yang Blade!]

"Yes!" Nie Yong shouted in triumph, his eyes blazing with excitement. He swung the Yang Blade, watching as the fiery energy sliced through the air, leaving behind searing heat waves in its wake.

"I've made it!"

However, as Nie Yong continued to use the Yang Blade, he started noticing something. His expression quickly changed as he felt the energy within him depleting at an alarming rate.

"Shit... this martial skill consumes a lot of Yang Qi... it has almost drained all the three Yang Drops that I've accumulated these past days."

With a frustrated sigh, he deactivated the Yang Blade. He clenched his fists, trying to understand why it drained his energy so quickly. "But why didn't I feel anything like this with the Yin Blade? I never felt my Yin Qi decreasing while using it..."

Then, a realization struck him like a bolt of lightning.

"Could it be... Yes! The Unyielding Golden Skeleton! It constantly produces Yin Qi, so I can't run out of it unless I use more than it can generate!"

His mind raced as he compared the two techniques. "So... which is better to use in a fight? The Yang Blade is stronger, but the Yin Blade can last longer..."

Then, an idea flashed in his mind as he recalled a certain green-haired swordsman.

"I'll just use both of them!" he declared with excitement, his eyes gleaming with newfound determination.

Stretching his back, Nie Yong let out a satisfied groan. "Ahhh... I've trained too much for now..."

He rolled his shoulders and took a deep breath before nodding to himself. "I think I'll take a walk now."

A thought crossed his mind, and a small smile formed on his lips. "The Black Wind Forest should be a good place... maybe I'll even find some herbs there..."

With that, he turned and headed toward the Black Wind Forest, his steps light but filled with anticipation for what lay ahead.

...

As Nie Yong strolled through the Black Wind Forest, he took a deep breath, letting the fresh, earthy air fill his lungs. The rustling of leaves, the distant chirping of birds, and the occasional snapping of twigs beneath his feet created a soothing atmosphere. For a moment, he simply enjoyed the tranquility, allowing himself to relax after days of intense training.

Then—

"You still dare to bark?!"

The sudden, angry shout shattered the peaceful silence. Nie Yong's body tensed as his sharp senses locked onto the direction of the noise. Sounds of struggle followed—blows landing, grunts of pain.

Nie Yong wasted no time. He dashed toward the commotion, his eyes narrowing as he arrived at a clearing where the fight was taking place.

Several youths wete there—half wore the robes of the High Heaven Pavilion, many of them bruised and lying on the ground, groaning in pain. The others stood tall and proud in their Storm Manor attire, smirking and jeering as they dominated the scene.

At the center of it all, a particular disciple was taking the brunt of the abuse, his face swollen, blood trailing down his chin. Towering over him was another Storm Manor disciple, his expression complacent.

Nie Yong's eyes widened as he got a better look at the battered figure. "Wait... is that... Su Mu?"

He took a closer look at the scene and realization struck him. He had read about this before. "Is this... where Hu Mei'er appears for the first time?"

Following his instinct, he turned his head, scanning the area for a familiar figure. Then he saw her.

Beside the complacent Storm Manor disciple stood a young woman with mesmerizing features. Hu Mei'er.

Her long, silky hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of midnight, contrasting against her flawless, pale skin. Her almond-shaped eyes carried a seductive charm, their deep, enchanting gaze capable of ensnaring the hearts of men with just a glance. She wore a form-fitting outfit that accentuated her graceful curves, her presence radiating an alluring yet dangerous aura.

Nie Yong froze for a moment, completely captivated. "Wow..." he muttered under his breath. "She's even more stunning than the manhwa showed her..."
