The room, filled with memories and comfort, pulled Marco into the past for a moment. Everything was just as it had always been—nothing had changed.
Sitting on the bed, Marco took out his phone and started a video call with Aryan. A hint of worry lingered in his eyes—Aryan had been staying alone at home, and Marco couldn't help but be concerned.
Meanwhile, Aryan, freshly out of the shower, picked up the call while towel-drying his hair.
"Why did you take so long to call?" Aryan asked in a mock-complaining tone as he answered the late-night video call.
"I was with Dad. It's been days since we had a proper conversation that wasn't about work," Marco explained. "Did you have dinner?"
"Yeah..." Aryan replied, heading to the kitchen in search of some ice cream.
"Did you order out, or was it instant noodles again?" Marco asked, already knowing the answer.
"I had homemade food—tasty and healthy," Aryan said with exaggerated pride.
