Chapter 19 - chap3•part4 :.. AETHERIS COUNCIL ...

11:39 AM – AUGUST 23, 2026 (2126)

SCHELVIA CITY • SKY NETWORK • MIRAGE DISTRICT [EAST GATE]

'GATE TO THE CORE'

[YORU'S POV]

Yoru moved swiftly, her body gliding across rooftops as she closed the distance to ÑYXÖRÂ. The phantom was already waiting beyond the final gate before the city's core.

Her legs burned from the relentless sprinting, but she ignored the ache, pushing herself harder. The air whipped around her, rustling her dark cloak as she leaped between structures. Her violet eyes gleamed beneath the hood, a silent reflection of her unwavering focus.

Through the buildings ahead, she could see ÑYXÖRÂ standing by the Gate to the Core, accompanied by a lonegirl—one of the student council members ÑYXÖRÂ had chosen to spare.

It wasn't mere eyesight that granted her this vision. It was a gift—an extension of ÑYXÖRÂ's power. Almost like X-ray vision, she could perceive through solid walls ,steel, piercing into the hidden spaces beyond.

Her pace never faltered.

And then—

[…VOID…]

"…Huh?"

Yoru's eyes widened.

A voice. Faint yet UNMISTAKABLE.

She halted abruptly, her boots scraping against the rooftop's edge as she glanced around. Her violet gaze, sharp and unyielding, scanned the rooftop, yet she saw no one.

Even with her see-through vision, there was no presence nearby.

Still, the suspicion clung to her like a shadow.

Narrowing her eyes, she turned her focus forward once more, exhaling slowly before reaching out telepathically to ÑYXÖRÂ, who remained by the Gate to the Core, waiting for her...

"ÑYXÖRÂ... это ты?"

• (ÑYXÖRÂ… is it you?) •

A soft yet perplexed voice answered from the other side.

"Я что?.. Моя леди?... Что там происходит?"

• (Me what, my lady? … What's going on there?) •

"О-о, что?.. Нет... я имею в виду тот голос раньше... это был ты?"

• (O-uh… nothing. I mean—just now… that voice… was it you?) •

There was a pause.

•(....)•

Yoru's gaze sharpened, locking onto ÑYXÖRÂ, who remained calmly pacing in front of the sealed gate. Her stare zoomed in, sharply adjusting, as though trying to read the phantom's reaction.

"..Я ничего не говорил, моя леди... К тому же, почему я должен был?.. Ты что-то слышала раньше? Вот почему ты подозреваешь меня, моя леди?"

• (…I hadn't said anything, my lady… Besides, why would I? … Did you hear something? Is that why you suspect me, my lady?) •

ÑYXÖRÂ had stopped moving, her stance shifting slightly as if she had sensed her master's lingering unease.

She turns, to stare back at her master from the distant..

Yoru held ÑYXÖRÂ's gaze for a long, silent moment before glancing around once more.

Still nothing.

Her brows furrowed, but she dismissed it—at least for now.

She took a breath, rolling her shoulders as she resumed her sprint forward.

"..Мы поговорим об этом позже, сразу после нашей миссии по поиску этой девочки.."

• (We'll talk about this later. First, we find that girl.) •

Her voice was firm, brooking no argument. She was already closing in fast.

11:43 AM

[ GATE TO CORE — ÑYXÖRÂ ]

"Я буду ждать вашего прибытия, моя леди"

• (I'll be waiting for your arrival, my lady.) •

Hearing that, ÑYXÖRÂ resumed pacing again, tapping the muzzle of her White Lynx Amr against the concrete idly as she moved.

She hummed softly, almost absentmindedly, before casting a side glance at the student council girl standing a few paces away.

The girl—Selene Nightfall—stood stiffly, shoulders drawn tight as she fidgeted in place.

--

Selene Nightfall – Rank 20

(Cultural Affairs Director)

Nickname: The Moonlit Visionary

--

Her knees threatened to buckle under the weight of ÑYXÖRÂ's stare.

She clasped her hands together, her lips pressing into a firm line. A thin sheen of sweat clung to her skin.

She had seen it.

She had seen how this phantom single-handedly dismantled her fellow council members—without so much as breaking a sweat.

Her teammates had been ready. They were skilled. Strong.

Those student council even already wore the mech - rings. That triple their human capabilities,..But ÑYXÖRÂ…

ÑYXÖRÂ had been faster.

One by one, they had fallen, brought to the concrete with terrifying precision.

Selene hadn't even dared to fight.

Not when she had witnessed it all from the very start—how ÑYXÖRÂ tore through them with inhuman speed, overwhelming them with mere bare hands.

And yet, she had been spared.

Not out of mercy. But because ÑYXÖRÂ believed she held the key to unlocking the Gate to the 'Core' .

Selene could still feel the guilt creeping in.

She was the only one left standing.

Powerless. Useless. A coward.

The shame sat heavy in her chest.

She could still hear ÑYXÖRÂ's voice from earlier, questioning her about the sealed gate. But when she had answered, ÑYXÖRÂ had simply stared at her in mild confusion—unable to understand the modern language Selene had spoken.

Now, as the phantom's piercing violet eyes bore into her, Selene swallowed hard.

She had no idea what would happen next.

But she knew one thing for certain—

She was in grave danger.

If the gate were to open—if this phantom managed to breach the Core—

The situation could spiral into absolute chaos.

And worst of all?

There was nothing she could do to stop it.

Selene clenched her fists tightly, her mind racing with helpless thoughts.

"Please… someone…"

Her lips parted in a soft, barely audible murmur, her voice cracking under the weight of fear.

"The Top 9… They should have gotten the message by now… They should be here…"

"Where are they…?"

Her heartbeat pounded in her ears as she tilted her head up, her eyes lifting toward the sky.

She prayed.

She begged—

And her prayer was answered.

-.-..-....-.-.-.-.-.-. -.-..-....-.-.-.-.-.-.

[AETHERIS COUNCIL]

From above, neon streaks tore through the sky.

They arrived.

The Top 9's of the Student Council descended from the Sky Network cabins, their bodies cutting through the atmosphere like falling stars.

neon strikes trails behind them, as they descend

Seven figures landed with precise, calculated movements—some on the rooftops, others on the streets, their presence undeniable.

Their eyes locked onto one thing:

The phantom.

ÑYXÖRÂ.

She stood still, center of the chaos, a slow, thin smile forming beneath the fluid cloak that shifted like living liquid. Her violet eyes gleamed as her rifle grazed the concrete.

"Фасцинирующе… их построение. Всё в порядке, хорошая стратегия..."

•(Fascinating… Their formation. Disciplined. Tactical. Impressive.)•

She nodded in approval, eyes scanning each of the seven figures that just landed. Then, her gaze flicked to one who landed atop a gate behind her,

and something stirred inside her.

A sense that things weren't quite right.

"Жаль... Девочка не была здесь..."

•(Too bad… The girl isn't here.)•

She thought to herself..her eyes narrow slightly . Realizing the target wasn't here....

Her master's mission had not been completed.

"Они всё ещё немного слабы для команды… моя леди хочет их набрать."

•(They're still too weak for the team my lady wants to recruit.)•

ÑYXÖRÂ smirked to herself as she lifted her rifle slightly—an intentional move to signal the Student Council to react.

In a heartbeat, the Council raised their weapons in perfect synchronization, locking them onto her.

Like a butterfly pinned by a needle,

one wrong move could shatter the delicate balance.

She remained still. Her master's words echoed in her mind:

'This is not our territory to break. We come as guests.'

With a calm, almost bored gesture, she raised her arms in surrender.

"Я сдаюсь... Я не причиню вреда... Я пришёл с миром..."

•(I surrender. I bring no harm. I am here in peace.)•

Her tone remained effortless, unfazed by the threat. Not that they could actually harm her, anyway.

Still she play along,

She was only following orders.

[ROOFTOP – ELYSIA THORNE'S POV]

Elysia Thorne narrowed her crimson eyes. The phantom had spoken in Russian.

A language Elysia was born into—a language she had long left behind.

Hearing it now made something twist inside her, like a trigger she couldn't ignore.

Her grip tightened on her war axe, its pulsating Vitreous lines glowing, as she leveled it at the phantom.

"Ты говоришь по-русски... Кто ты?"

•(You speak Russian... Who are you?)•

ÑYXÖRÂ's eyes widened slightly at the question. She shrugged nonchalantly, letting her rifle fall with a soft metallic clink to her side. A smirk played at the corners of her lips.

"Наконец-то... Кто-то говорит на моём языке..."

•(Finally… Someone speaks my language.)•

Her gaze locked onto Elysia, calm but laced with intrigue.

"Что касается того, кто я... ох... ты узнаешь... только немного позже, малыш..."

•(As for who I am… oh, you'll get to know me… just with a bit of time, little one.)•

Elysia's grip tightened around her axe. 'Little one?' Great. Another presence like Kaelis—someone who knew just how to get under her skin.

Biting back her irritation, Elysia steadied herself. She spoke with unwavering authority.

"Довольно. Назови себя, кто ты и с какой целью пришёл сюда…"

•(That's enough. State yourself. Who are you, and what is your purpose here?)•

ÑYXÖRÂ smirked, enjoying the tension between them.

"В землю студентов, ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ И МОЛОДЁЖИ... ШЕЛЬВИЯ СИТИ."

•(To the land of students, EDUCATION AND YOUTH... SCHELVIA CITY.)•

Elysia added

The air thickened with unspoken questions, her smile widening. Elysia's eyes burned with intensity, but she held steady, waiting for the phantom's next move.

ÑYXÖRÂ smile widened slightly.. almost sinister..her violet eyes glint slightly.. she fixed her hood to tuck it down to cover her eyes...

"..Ты тоже узнаешь причину, малыш.."

•(.. you'll get to know the reason too.. lil one..)•

She speaks with her arms still raised..

"..но сначала..."

•(..but first..)•

....

"где ваш лидер?"

•(where's your leader)•
